Sturdy, real wood…
Sturdy bassinet and our daughter loves it! It is not tippy which I was worried about, though of course it would fall over if I let our preschooler hang on the side of it. My only two complaints are that the base the pad sits on is made of some sort of MDF (sp?)/fiber board and it comes with a cheap foam pad. I spent a long time online looking for an affordable non-toxic wood bassinet and this is the best I found though. We just replaced the pad with a Naturepedic one instead.
LOVE LOVE LOVE
I wanted this because I loved the way it looked and it doubled as a toy box which was a plus. My husband put it together in less then an hour. I am 5’0" and my husband is 5’10 we both like the height it’s short enough for me and tall enough for him when we are putting our baby in. We also like the fact it is light easy to move around as we live in an upstairs house. We have been using it since July 2013 when my baby was born and have been very pleased. We bought a separate mattress from amazon called – Cradle Mattress – 18 X 36 X 2" Thick – because other reviews said it fit and it did. I am glad we bought it because the mattress that comes with it is very thin which is why I gave the bassinet 4 stars. We bought this sheets American Baby Company Value Jersey Knit Cradle Sheet – 2 Pack, Ecru recommended by another review and they fit. The one thing I didn’t think about was if you want a kick piano for your baby its very hard to hang one in this bassinet we did it but it a little loose because you can’t tie the ends to any bars. It wasn’t a deal breaker but I didn’t think about it till I tried to put one in. We bought a mirror for the side which works great. Overall I can’t wait to use it for my next baby!!!
Good product but baby likes sticking hands through rail
This product looks great and was somewhat simple to assemble. The only challenge is that my preemie baby likes to stick her hands out of the rails. That was disturbing. We bought a breathable mesh bumper and that seemed to alleviate the problem. Looks great but not sure if this would be my primary bassinet purchase in the future if we have another baby.
This bassinet is so beautiful! It was a minor pain in the ass to put together but once it was done, it was easy to maneuver around the house. We have a king sized bed that sits rather high but this bassinet is the perfect height. I can easily see my baby at eye level while laying down. Base slides easily on carpet for ease of movement. The wood does ding easily but a little wood polish fixes it right up. It will be a beautiful toy chest in her bedroom once she has outgrown it.
Looks great, but much larger than expected
This bassinet looks great, but it’s much larger than we expected. We love the color, the contemporary design, and the fact that it can be used as a (large) toy box.
Beautiful Bassinet but plan on a new mattress
We purchased this bassinet for our baby on the way. It was easy to assemble and looks amazing on our bedroom. It is very sturdy and larger than I had thought which I am pleased about as I will not have to stoop down to retrieve baby. I did read previous reviews and am happy I chose to purchase a different mattress and sheets as the only pitfall of this item is that the mattress is super slim and flimsy. The mattress suggested by another reviewer Cradle Mattress – 18 X 36 X 2" Thick fit perfectly and the sheets they suggested American Baby Company Value Jersey Knit Cradle Sheet, Ecru worked well.
Nice bassinet but didn’t work for us
This bassinet is really nice looking, very modern and classy. It was hard finding a basinet that would hold more than 15 lbs. However, our daughter is a wiggle worm in her sleep so she would always end up with an arm or a leg sticking out the slats and it would wake her up often. We ended up returning the bassinet because having her arms and legs getting stuck just didn’t work for us. So if you baby doesn’t move much or is completely swaddled it might be a nice option.
