I was a bit skeptical about this product. I thought $50 was a lot for essentially ear buds for your belly. On a late night whim, I splurged and made the purchase. I can’t express how glad I am that I did it. I am 6 months preggers and my little one reacts almost immediately when they are placed on my belly. She moves around a lot when I have her music going (I prefer a light, relaxing classical playlist to use. The pop/rock doesn’t get the same reaction from her). When I have the buds on my belly, you can physically see her bouncing them up and down. It’s pretty cool! I’m so glad I took the plunge and invested in these.
Good but kind of expensive
Well, its good, my wife loves it, we still don’t know if the baby loves it or not, since its kind of small to feel it.My only comment is that its just a pair of headphones separated that you stick to your belly, In my opinion, this are expensive, they are made of plastic, cheap one, and I feel little disappointed on the quality its not bad but I was expecting more for 50 bucks.
Really like – A few issues
I purchased a pair of Bellybuds in October 2011 from Zany Values via Amazon. My model may have been a little different from this one because I am no longer able to get to the page from my order summary. It says page not found. I am also not able to control my sound level with the pair I have. But, everything else seems to be the same.Pros:+ I really like the product. I wore them with my first pregnancy all the time.+ They are comfortable.+ Easy to put on. I wear while at work.+ I absolutely love the fact you can place your own headphones in it and listen at the same time. I use my iPod Nano with an arm strap. The same one I would use when I cycle.+ I am on my 2nd pregnancy and I have only switched out the adhesive twice. I take good care of them because I thought the adhesive would run out quickly. I often wear a T-shirt/tank under my shirt anyway so that helps keep them in place.Cons:- You have to be careful when going to the restroom. Moreover, I go to the restroom often so I have to hold them on your stomach sometimes because they may pop-off. Not a big deal.- One of my ear buds has stopped working. But, I don’t find that to be much of an issue.- You have to place them on just right with the volume just right so others cannot hear it.- I do think $50 is a little high.I would probably give this item a 5 if the other belly bud did not stop working.
I use these once a day (usually at my bed time when the baby is up and kicking). They work great! I tried to use some other headphones and it was a pain. These are a little pricey. I don’t feel they have any superior sound quality to say a 15 dollar pair of head phones but the shape and ease of use was worth it.
Fun for baby
These are so much fun, just because you know that your baby can listen to some music or learn from some books on tape. I play voicemail messages of family members voices so that the baby will ercognize them. Only complaint is that one of the buds stopped working after about 4 months. I never buy the stickies, they are fine in the elastic part of your maternity pants and stay put. Glad I bought them
