Works great and looks great. But yes, too small. Here’s why…

For people who want a nice, clean look this product is great. It doesn’t look like an eye sore and blends in with your decor. Also, it is Phthalate, BPA and PVC free. A very big plus! It’s also very stable holding up bottles (even glass bottles). The grass spikes makes it fit every possible thing. From bottles, to breast pump parts, nipples, pacifiers, brushes, etc. But there lies the problem. You have a very small surface area for all those parts. If you just have bottles, then yes, this size would do. But I am guessing people want to keep this as the “baby dish rack” and put all the baby stuff on this rack. For the price, they could have made it slightly bigger. Hence, my 3 star ratings. Otherwise, it would have been 5. Buying 2 of these is just expensive for what this is. They could have expanding this by just increasing it to 1.5 times bigger which I think would be a reasonable size (for one baby).

I noticed a lot of other reviews mentioning this rack being “great but small” and it makes me wonder how many bottles they use in a day. My 2 month old daughter eats 7 times a day, and I can fit all 7 bottles on the rack at once, with room to spare. I could probably fit another 3 if I wanted to. I hook the bottles on the side, with only about 5 or 6 “blades” of grass. This drying rack is awesome, its pretty small, but holds a lot of bottles for it’s size. It’s much better than other bottle drying racks, because it can hold all pieces upright so you don’t have water collecting in any parts, so everything gets completely dry.Edited July 7-28-10: I added a picture of just how much this rack can actually hold. I would not typically use this many bottles in a day, but I upgraded from short to tall, because my daughter now eats more. Today I needed to wash all 13 bottles at once. They ALL fit.

Designed for small items

Boon should consider making a bigger version of this drying rack. I like the functional aspect as well as easy of use. For instace since it is green the clear color items such as silicon nipples are easy to find. And the hieight of the rack gives more space for air. But It is designed for small size items and definitely not for many baby bottles. I had to order two and it is expensive.

Not for traveling

(mrs. speaking) we got this for moving and thought it would be a good idea for bottles. I was wrong. It’s big and bulky and the bottle plastic piece broke. the grass also broke but not till a little wile after. I would suggest a hand towel instead.

Love this drying rack!

We have been using a spinning bottle rack and a dish towel or two to dry bottles & parts for the past 5 months. The spinning rack was always full so we oveflowed everything onto dish towels to dry. I was tired of the dishtowels which inevitably would catch crumbs from around the kitchen. We just got a Boon Grass countertop rack last week and it’s awesome! It’s great for the Dr. Brown’s bottles and also great for odd-shaped or small items like spoons, baby gum brush, boon spoon, etc. It is a little small, so we ended up going and getting a 2nd grass drying rack. Definitely easy to use, easy to clean and allows the bottles and parts to dry without a mess.

CAUTION: Not Really Dishwasher-Safe

I already have a bottle drying rack, but I needed something else that would hold spoons, forks, and straws upright. I initially wanted the OXO Tot dishrack, because I thought this grass was weird-looking, and a bit pricey for such small dimensions, but I had to have something that was BPA-free, Phthalate-free, and PVC-free. And Dishwasher-safe… OK, so I put it in the dishwasher–in the top rack, on mild wash setting, mind you–to sanitize it before I put my clean baby items in it. And the grass came out warped! The grass no longer sits flat in the tray. The corners are bowed. My dishwasher is only a few months old, and has never ruined any of my other dishware. So, it’s totally this product–Read: “Made In China.” Well, the baby items still went in and stayed upright to dry. Which is the only reason I gave a second star. But, what a disappointment that the grass sits awkwardly now, after just the first wash! I would not recommend this at all.

Nothing stays on!

I bought this for bottles after reading all the positive reviews, but in my experience, nothing stays on it. The bottles have to be jammed on and they continuously fall off side ways or pop off on top. I have tried resting everything on top, but that is just as likely to fall. Usually we just rest things on the counter in front because they are less likely to fall over. While more attractive on the counter than a traditional bottle rack, I find this almost useless.

Cute and Useful

I thought this was kind of a silly item when I put it on my baby registry, but it turns out that I love it and it’s in use 24/7 in our house with a 5 month old. We’ve used it every day since our daughter was born and it still looks brand new. It holds a surprising amount of stuff for taking up little counter space. We bought the little tree that goes with it. I debated buying the bigger "lawn" but we haven’t needed the extra size at all. Perhaps if you had twins using bottles or you were exclusively using bottles you might want the bigger size. But, I can have many bottles, lids, rings, nipples, etc. all drying on there without having to worry about it. Looks super cute too!

Great to dry breast pump pieces

I actually bought this to use for my breast pump accessories (Medela Freestyle.) I find that I am able to stand everything up without it falling over. I actually have two, one at home, and one in my office. It fits nicely in a drawer at my office and I do not need to worry about my pump pieces falling over when I shut the drawer. I’m not sure how many bottles this would be able to hold if I were using it for bottles, which is why I only give it 4 stars. Overall, I am very happy with it and of course, I love the look!

Love it!

I bought this and when I received it initially thought was I really stupid to buy this!? But I’m so glad I did it’s a great unit and can hold so many things on it. I remember reading a review about oh it would grow mold and they wouldn’t purchase the item, but it’s been in use for almost 2 months now and no mold in sight! Takes up next to no space and can pretty much hold anything on it to dry. LOVE IT!

Great for all kinds of items!

I bought this for my brother and his wife and it proved very helpful to them with a new baby. My sis in law was doing a lot of pumping, so there were all kinds of bottles and accessories to wash and dry, and they don’t have a dishwasher. The grass is great because you can put all different sizes and shapes of items on it to dry. Great product for a great price! BPA-free a plus, too!

Paper towel under the grass to prevent stains.

This drying rack is great-looks good (even my hubby commented) and I have no problems with bottles and other items not drying fast enough.I also own Munchkin deluxe one and it’s great but because it is tilted it has a yellow stain from water on the front of the compartment.I use folded paper towel under the grass in the Boon one and there is no stains or gunk on the white bottom part as paper traps the moisture. It is also invisible under the grass. The grass is a bit stiff and I have to slightly push the bottles to stay on it but this is not a big deal. Overall good looking and functional thing!

Love this drying rack!

We received another style of drying rack from a friend and planned to use it, but we found that it was really big but didn’t fit much. We use Tommee Tippee bottles. We wanted to find something that fit more, and we saw this at a b & m store, and my husband fell for the funky style. I wasn’t sold at first, but once we took it home and tried it, I saw how awesome this was. We can fit so many bottles and parts, along with pacifiers, and the bottle brush itself. You can hang things off the side too. Get this! you wont be disappointed.

Holds much more than you’d think

I already have one of the tower drying racks, and I was looking for a second one that wouldn’t take up too much counter space, but still hold a lot of items. This drying rack fits the bill perfectly. Another reviewer left a picture of how much it can hold, and based on that picture I decided to buy this. I have not been disappointed. Yes it is small, but if you use it strategically, you can fit a TON on there. I stick bottles all around the edge using a few blades of “grass,” and bottle caps I stick sideways in the grass. This takes up a lot less of the surface area than if you just lay them flat, and they still dry fine. I am happy with this purchase.

Works perfectly. More versatile than other similar drying racks.

This drying rack belongs in the small handful of products that have really made raising our son (now 4 months old) so much easier. It keeps all the bottle and breast pump stuff organized and accessible, and everything dries very quickly. The “grass” lifts off the tray easily so you can periodically dump out any standing water that accumulates (not much does, and we’ve never had any mildew issues). Small parts like pump valves and medicine droppers/syringes fit beautifully on the thin blades of grass, and it looks cool on our kitchen counter. It also works great for holding our grown-up hand wash only dishes like wine glasses and travel mugs, and we figure we’ll keep using it long after we’re done with bottle feeding and pumping. I’m glad we went with this over the SkipHop splash drying rack, since I can’t imagine how the SkipHop rack could possibly hold all the baby and adult stuff we load this thing down with. It’s cheaper too!

Form and function!

I bought this rack to replace an uglier rack and so far so good. I have been able to store 6 bottles and 8 medela 2.5 oz pump bottles. Looks good and works great too. The only problem I’ve had so far is that the membranes to my pump fall down in the grass and are hard to retrieve. I don’t think the rack was meant to hold tiny pieces of rubber though.

Too small for our needs…

I was surprised at how small the rack was and how little it held once we had it in person (yes, I read the dimensions before purchasing it). We have 7 Playtex Ventaire wide-mouth bottles, and this rack doesn’t fit all the parts to them all at once (I can get all the parts of 4, tops, on there). What a bummer!

Registry must-have!

This drying rack is one of my favorite countertop accessories. I originally purchased this for a friend from her registry and was so intrigued that I had to open it and investigate. Needless to say, it never left my counter and I ordered a new one for her (thank goodness for Amazon Prime!). This smaller rack holds 8 of my Avent bottles and parts when combined with the flower accessory. The blades of grass are rigid enough to hold bottles over the edge. Highly recommended for all new moms and those that don’t yet have a drying solution for their bottles.

Alba Irasburg, VT

love it

This is awesome. I thought it was a little too small when I opened it, but I can fit 10 bottles and all the parts from my dr brown set.

Krystal Donald, OR

Awesome product!

My husband initially showed me this product and though I was slightly hesitant to try it, we went ahead and ordered it. Boy am I glad we did! Though it seems small, this drying rack easily holds all six of the Nuk bottles that we wash each day, my pump parts, any pacifiers that we’ve had to wash, the medicine dispenser, and more. It can handle a huge amount of stuff without crowding everything together. The blades of “grass” are spaced such that enough air flow gets in to speed the drying process and allows everything to hang out securely. Also, it’s cuter than a plain drying rack, and since I have to have the thing on my counter a good portion of the time, that pleases me.

Priscilla Purdy, MO

Cute and functional!

Compact rack fits a surprising number of bottle parts. It fits all the bottles we use in a typical day (3-5), plus pump flanges and valves. Bottles are held securely and dry quickly. Cute design!

i’m dumb

i thought it would be pliable rubber bristles like my new bottle brush, but of course they’re hard plastic. looks the same, i just thought for some reason it’s be soft. shrug!

One of my favorite baby purchases!

Of all the things that I have bought for my son, who is 6 months old, this is one of my favorites and is something I use daily. I don’t own a dishwasher and do a lot of dishes daily. My kiddo is breastfed but takes 1-2 bottles a day and of course on days I work takes quite a few more than that plus I have breast pump parts I wash. I decided I needed to keep my bottles and parts away from my regular dishes to avoid any cross contamination and had a friend suggest this drying rack. It looks nice and modern on my counter top in my kitchen, is easy to clean and drain and keeps bottles (for the record I use Dr. Brown bottles which have so many little parts) well organized and you are able to position everything for optimal drying. And I can fit a ton of stuff on this little drying rack – the other day I washed 7 Dr. Brown bottles and my breast pump parts and bottles and was able to easily fit everything on the rack. So I would purchase this again. I also will buy this drying rack as a gift for expectant friends for now on, as something they will really use a lot.

Love it! So cute!

Not only is this drying rack cute but it works SO much better than any other bottle dryer rack. It doesn’t really seem like it would be better, but the bristles are very strong and allows bottles to dry completely thru. It looks cute on top of the counter vs the usual drying racks. It doesn’t fit as many bottles so purchasing 2 might be a good idea otherwise it helps keep you on top of cleaning your bottles!

Great Drying Rack

This drying rack can hold any baby item you could possibly need to dry, doesn’t take up a lot of counter space, and gives off the effect of a funky kitchen garden. The grass and base separate and can go in the dishwasher for easy cleaning.Check out more baby gear recommendations at: […]

Nice looking on the counter

Very fun and clever, great for drying the many odd shaped toddler and baby items. We like to throw it in the dishwasher once in a while to get it tidy.

Purchasing another one because it works so well! Lots of pump accessories and bottles to wash, so the second one will help hold it all! Easy to take apart to empty standing water…great product!

Love it

Love it! Modern looking! Not too big that it clutters! Durable quality material. Everyone notices it it’s a conversation piece lol

Love Boon. Cute and durable stuff.

I love this little rack, it adds some personality to our kitchen. I consider it pretty decent size. I had to use a backup rack for a couple of months when my daughter was an infant and eating every 2-3 hours, but I’ve problem since. They also sell a cute flower attachment for the smaller stuff(nipples, pacifiers, etc.) that gives you a lot more room on the tray. I paid around $22 for both parts at Target and I consider it worth the money. You won’t be disappointed.
