I’ve tried many bottle brushes and this is my favorite. The nipple brush is probably the best part. Like all bottle brushes that are 2 in 1 the handle does come loose while cleaning bottles. But they all do and this one not as bad like the dr. Browns. Wish they would fix that design problem but I can deal with it.
Addie Fairmont, OK
With this brush you have to keep the attachment part connected, otherwise you won’t be able to reach the bottom of your 8 ounce bottles. Then you have to undo it to scrub your nipples. It’s annoying, but worth it for the level of cleaning that these bristles do. The bristles do wear out quickly, though.
Beverley Sturgis, SD
My husband and I both prefer this brush to our previous option (Philips AVENT BPA Free Bottle Brush, Blue), which we had gotten based on stellar reviews. This Playtex brush was a lark during an Amazon sale, but is so much better! While the bigger brush may seem unwieldy, the bristles are extremely flexible. We use the bigger brush for washing: Playtex bottles (Drop-Ins); for Medela Breastshields; Lids & Connectors (from thePlaytex Drop-Ins System Breast Milk Storage Kit); & the colored connectors from the Drop-Ins bottles (that attach the nipple to the bottle itself). We use the nipple brush for not only the nipples for the Playtex bottles, but also: Medela Breastshield Connectors; Medela Valves; and Medela Membranes. I hope that helps give some perspective on the sizes/flexibility of the brushes.

Natural Flow Preemie Silicone Nipples (3 Pack) by: Dr. Brown’s. If your baby suffers from colic, spit-up, burping, or gas, these are all symptoms that your baby has ingested air bubbles while feeding from an ordinary bottle. The Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow baby bottle is unlike any other baby bottle on the market. This bottle features a patented internal vent system that eliminates air bubbles and vacuum pressure found in other baby bottles. The Dr. Browns Natural Flow baby bottle is the only baby bottle that features a patented internal vent system. This vent eliminates the air bubbles and vacuum effect to allow positive-pressure feeding with no air – similar to breast-feeding. These nipples are for feeding preemie babies. This nipple is available only for the standard Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow baby bottle.
- Three replacement silicone nipples
- Ideal for feeding premature babies
- Exclusive for Dr. Brown’s natural flow standard baby bottles
If you talk to lactation consultants and speciailsts, they will all tell you to buy this nipple. The flow is slow, so your baby doesn’t get addicted to the bottle! Our baby has been alternating between the bottle and breastfeeding for a month now, both are still going strong! They sell larger flow nipples, but as “The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding” says, it isn’t as if your breast’s flow increases during your child’s life, why should the bottle? Let the baby eat slow!
Francesca Owls Head, NY
I tried atleast 10 nipples/bottles before finding this one. I was breastfeeding my newborn but she was going to need to take a bottle on occassion when I was not available. After having her choke and sputter with many different nipple and crying and being frustrated for atleast 3 weeks, I found a dad whose wife had similar problems. He recommended these nipples. It worked like a charm. She took it on the 2nd attempt. It is very difficult for breastfeeding babies to use a bottle that is flowing too fast. I dont know what we would have done without this nipple. She did quickly move up to the level 1’s (around 3 mo) and to the level 2 around 5 mo, but this made taking a bottle possible for her.
Tonya Homestead, FL
My baby girl was full-term. She is a slow eater and with the stage one nipple the milk was constantly spilling out of the sides and bottom of her mouth. I couldn’t find these preemie nipples in ANY of the local stores and I needed them right away. I paid extra for next day delivery and so glad I did…worth it! Now she has no problems. 🙂 (BTW, I first tried “Playtex Vent-Aire”, as recommended by my lactation consultant, and it wasn’t noticeably slower to me.)

The Dr. Browns Silicone Protective Bottle Sleeves are designed to work with the Dr. Browns glass baby bottles. Made from 100 % silicone, easy to grip cover will help prevent bottle breakage. Helps to prevent heat transfer. BPA free, top rack dishwasher and sterilizer safe made for Dr. Brown’s 8 ounce glass bottle.
- Easy to Grip Cover Will Help Prevent Bottle Breakage
- Helps to Prevent Heat Transfer
- 100% Silicone; BPA free
- Top Rack Dishwasher and Sterilizer Safe
- Colors May Vary
I purchased these bottle sleeves to protect the glass bottles I purchased. Although a good idea, once on, it is near impossible to see the ounce marks on the bottle. You would have to fill the bottle with water before putting the sleeve on to prepare it and once it is on, if your baby doesn’t drink the whole thng, you have to twist the sleeve and try to see through one of the holes to see how much s/he ate or take it off again. It became such a pain in the butt for us that we no longer use them. Maybe if your baby consistently eats the same amount of ounces this would not be a concern, but for us it was.
Pansy Clarkston, GA
Some people swear by these, but they didn’t help my newborn with spit up/gas. And it is a lot of cleaning to clean all the parts if it isn’t doing any better for the baby. Not sure if the bottle system helps with nutrient absorption like it claims, maybe it does. If you use these and want to wash parts in dish washer I recommend the basket that specifically holds them. My baby is now several months old and I find myself preferring the Lifefactory bottles, but these are worth a try if you have a baby with gas/spit up issues.
Alyssa Millerton, OK
Pros: protects, easy to use/remove, easy to clean, looks good, able to see through to see how much milk is in the bottle.Cons: adds an additional layer of work to bottle prep/cleaning.Conclusion: I would recommend this product, but wish there was a more mommy-friendly (easier) way to make glass bottles safe.

I really wanted to love this bottle. There aren’t a ton of choices out there in stainless steel, and this is the cutest of all the options I’ve seen. The bottle itself is okay — it could be better, but it gets the job done.BUT…- The paint chipped pretty quickly/easily, and I found green flecks on my baby’s lips!!! So if you go with this bottle, I highly suggest getting the plain silver finish instead of the fun colors.- The nipple ring sliced my hand open. If you look closely at the ring in the picture, you can see how the bottom edge curls up and inward. Well, it doesn’t curl inward enough, and that inside edge is kind of sharp. I screwed it on a little too tight, and sliced my hand open trying to unscrew it. Now, I was exerting a lot of pressure (far more than a baby would be able to), so I don’t think it’s dangerous for the kiddos, but I’m a lot more cautious when I put this thing together now.- The volume markings could be better. Since you can’t see through these bottles like you can glass, not having every ounce marked on the inside makes filling them a guessing game. The 5oz bottle, for example, only has markings for 2 and 3 oz. That said, a lot of the stainless steel bottles out there don’t have ANY markings, so it’s better than nothing.- The nipples/spouts are wicked fast. The level 1 that came with the bottle is comparable to the level 3 nipples from all the other brands I tried. The sippy-cup transition spout is NOT a sippy cup — it’s just a soft (pliable as a silicone nipple) spout shaped like a sippy cup. Both the sippy spout and the level 1 nipples will drip (quickly and steadily) without any suction whatsoever. My daughter (now 8 months) won’t touch this with the sippy spout on. The sizing is standard (wide-mouth), so it’s easy to buy replacement parts…but should you have to??- The cap is a soft, fold-on/peel-off deal that is pretty annoying, difficult to put on, and gets dirty easily. I’d much prefer a cap that is more rigid (so it stays on and keeps the nipple or spout from leaking) and snaps on/off. Kleen Kanteen manages to do it, so I don’t know why Pura can’t.All in all, this is a good bottle if you avoid the painted finishes, replace the nipple/spout with another brand, are careful with the sharp edge on the ring, and don’t mind not having a decent lid. Seems like a lot of trouble to have to go to for the price, though.
Helen Elvaston, IL
In general, this is an excellent sippy bottle with several important features:1. The bottle is metal, the ring is metal, the nipple and lid are silicone. This is particularly comforting if you are trying to get rid of plastic bottles and parts. The metal pieces go through the dishwasher nicely and the nipple and lid are very easy to hand wash (though we often put the lids in the dishwasher as well).2. The entire unit is durable. Even the small flap on the nipple has held up well in many months of use by our twin toddlers. I consider that a resounding success. We have also experienced no dents or other physical deformities in the parts.3. This bottle is easy to use. It fits perfectly into our kids hands, is not overly slick (unless, of course, they ‘slime’ it up with some food), and is easy to assemble and disassemble.I have a couple of caveats, however. I do not like that they paint began peeling off soon after we got the bottles (we also have the green one, and the behavior is the same). There is no paint on the inside, so ingestion via liquid is not the primary concern, but we do worry that our kids will ‘pick’ at the peeling areas and that chips might end up being consumed. The other ‘concern’ is likely conditional on how active your kids are with their bottles. The nipple design of this bottle is quite simple, but this means that if they flip the bottle upside down and ‘bounce’ the nipple on the table/a tray, it leaks profusely. If your kids are not so aggressive with their bottles this will not be a concern, but be aware that you might need to clean up a bit more than with a bottle with a hard nipple! All in all, this is an excellent bottle and our entire family loves them.

In an attempt to go plastic-free, I did tons of research online about what sippy cup to start my daughter out on, she is 6 months. Finding this one was great! It’s stylish, high quality, no plastic, durable and amazon was the only dealer that did not have it out of stock, so I was able to order it and get it in the mail quickly.

Alas! My daughter took to a bottle! Thank you Dr Brown’s! My daughter was strictly breastfed, but I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled and won’t be able to nurse her for 24 hours. Trying to transition a breastfed baby to a bottle is not an easy task. She used avent the first couple weeks after birth bc i had mastitis. I didn’t keep up with bottles though, I found it more of a chore to pump and feed. Now at 6 mo my daughter turned down the avent bottles even with age appropriate nipples. We tried a sippy cup but she’s not quite ready for it and got too gassy from it. We tried the playtex vent air, and what junk! You can’t sterilize it in steam just wash, and she would suck on it and get nothing. She started getting angry at the sight of bottles! We tried a single Dr brown’s bottle first. Instant success! Then i saw these pink bottles at babies r us 4 pack on sale for $18! They are cute and my baby loves this bottle. It will also be helpful as we move out of state in a couple weeks. I will pump then and bottle feed her on the road. Again, thank you Dr Brown’s! After all the great reviews, I’m glad I went with this and not Tommee Tippy as I heard from a friend they don’t work well. I know this is long but hopefully is helpful to anyone having trouble transitioning baby from breast to bottle. Dr Brown’s hands down is the best way to go.
Octavia Albia, IA
Love Dr. Brown’s bottles. The flow for every stage is just right for my daughter (not too fast) and the silicone nipple is soft and long lasting. I have been using the nipple for almost 5 months and the silicone stays soft with only very slight of discoloration.Have tried Avent bottles but it leaks a lot!The Pink bottles are must have for baby girl. The color is a very pretty shade of pink and I am so tempted to buy the blue one as well!Note : Don’t sterilize them using water boiling method. I boiled mine few times and the print on the surface came off…..

The pink and purple bottles are made in China while the standard color bottles are still made in the US. Why make them differently??

My baby is 9 months old and I am desperate for her to learn how to hold her own bottle. I saw this product in Parents magazine and thought I’d give it a try. Unfortunately it didn’t work as well as I’d hoped and I am sending it back. Not worth the money for something that is essentially only going to be used as a toy around here.Pros:–Fits Dr. Brown’s wideneck bottles–Adorable light pink color–Safe silicone without BPA and other chemicalsCons:–My baby was more distracted by the “toy” on her bottle and just wanted to chew on it, throw it around, etc. She couldn’t seem to grasp the idea that it was meant to be a bottle holder. It was just a huge distraction and none of the bottle was eaten.Overall I think it depends on the baby, and this could potentially be a life-saver for you and its definitely worth a TRY with the free return shipping–you really don’t have anything to lose by giving it a trial run. I wish it had worked!

We use the Playtex Drop-In System and this fits right over the 4oz and 10oz bottles with no problem. My 5 month old may not be able to hold his bottle by himself quite yet, but he is really trying. Another great thing about it is when I need both hands for a sec I can prop the bottle under my chin and re-position myself or baby easily. It really is one of my favorite things.

OMG, when I saw this product online, I needed to have it, uhum, I mean my baby needed to have it 😉 All joking aside, besides the fact that this is an ingenious idea, it really works. I bought this when my baby was 4 months old. She had been a boobs-only baby to this point, and it turned out that the key to getting her to take the bottle was allowing her to hold it herself. That’s where the Ba came in. She immediately caught on and was able to feed herself! We use it with the Tommee Tippee brand bottles, and it fits perfectly!

I’m confused. Why would one even need this product? What’s wrong with just shaking the formula in the bottle? That has always worked for us.
Frankie Valentine, TX
My wife picked up this interesting little gizmo and I get a kick out of using it. Boy, it will really mix a bottle of formula fast! And no lumps or clots to stick in the nipple. Basically, our son is fed mother’s milk, but he’s growing fast, has a growing hunger and sometimes mom just can’t keep up. So, she pumps milk and we mix a little formula in with her milk to ease the situation. Our boy doesn’t like straight formula and grimaces and refuses to consume it (unless he’s extremely hungry). However, he’ll take a 50/50 mixture of mother’s milk and formula without even noticing, so that’s what he’s getting at times and this little mixer will really churn them together. I have only two dislikes for the mixer. First, it spins so fast and powerful that it foams the milk. So far, this has not been a major problem, especially since I let the mix set a bit, and I’m careful with the mixing so that it isn’t overly churned. Second, it is a bit awkward to use in tall bottles. Some reviews have complained of durability problems, but we’ve had none as yet.I wonder what else I can use a gizmo like this for. Hmmmmm. It might be real good at the bar for fixing small pitchers of martinis. The problem is I don’t have a bar and don’t drink martinis. Maybe I could use one in the workshop for mixing and stirring up small amounts of paint. Maybe, I’ll give it some more thought.Gary Peterson

I got this formula mixer for my son who is eating more and more so shaking 6 bottles at a pop can be annoying. Plus shaking sometimes doesn’t get the clumps out and with this I get a nice even mixture. I use this on my 11 oz Avent bottles and it comes in very handy when shaking doesn’t cut it.The reason I took a star off is because it is mainly a glorified cake mixer slapped with a baby label and justified with a price hike. It takes a while to get used to otherwise there will be a big mess. I have no qualms with this product but I wouldn’t go out of my way to push it due to the price and what it is. If moms think it will be helpful, go get it! Best of luck!

Bottle Buddy is a unique electronic formula dispensing product that accurately counts a pre-set amount of powdered infant and follow on formula into a baby’s bottle. Using Bottle Buddy to make up a feeding is convenient, quick and easy to use and, most importantly, it saves time and ensures that every bottle contains the right amount of formula every time. It’s a common, yet annoying, mistake to make: you’re preparing a bottle for your baby and counting the amount of powder into the bottle when someone or something interrupts you. Before you know it, you’re wondering: “was that five or six scoops?” and have to start over again. Bottle Buddy eliminates the risk of contamination, human error and spillage by delivering an adjustable, preset, consistent quantity of powder at a touch of a button. Bottle Buddy is ideal for new parents or caretakers who may be nervous about formula quantities. Bottle Buddy is set to revolutionize the way parents make up their babies’ bottles forever. Benefits Breast milk is generally thought to be best for babies but there are a number of good reasons why many mothers choose to bottle feed from birth or only breast feed for a short while. Some parents supplement breast milk with powdered infant or follow-on formula – especially as the baby gets older. Whatever they choose, all parents want to see their baby thrive and grow at a healthy rate. On average, parents put over 10,000 scoops of infant or follow-on formula into bottles in the first year of a baby’s life. It is not only very time consuming but also very easy to miscount the amount of formula used, especially when holding a crying, hungry baby and trying to make up a bottle at the same time. Using Bottle Buddy to make up a feeding ensures that every bottle contains the correct amount of formula and overcomes some of the serious health risks associated with formula feeding. Miscounting scoops, overfeeding or underfeeding on a regular basis can have long-term health implications.
- Simplifies your life
- Compatible with all leading brands of formula
- More accurate and saves time
- 100% more hygienic
We have been using this dispenser for six weeks and it seems to work well with minor glitches. The product requires some initial assembly based on the type of formula you use (there are different dispenser discs depending on if you use Enfamil, Similac, Gerber or Nestle).PROS:- Easy to use once assembled.- Clear display and buttons to increase/decrease amount of formula to dispense- Good feature of push button below dispenser that must be activated in order for formula to dispense, so no accidents without a bottle below to catch the formulaCONS:- Formula does tend to dry out. Occasionally you will need to open the cap to move/break up any dry sections or clumps.- Works best with wide mouth bottles. Narrow mouth bottles will require you to hold the bottle right below the formula funnel (dispenser) otherwise formula will spill.- On occasion, unit may need to reset. I just unplug/replug in.

I was not sure if this was going to be worth the money or not but I was sick of the little scooper. If you want to throw a little money at this problem than make the purchase. I am pleased to never deal with a stupid scoop againThe formula I use was not listed on the package for directions so I called the company and they were very friendly and helpful
Diann Desha, AR
If I could give zero stars I would. I should have followed the advice from other reviews, but I wanted to experience this for myself. The product looks nice and appears to work for maybe the first few bottles, but by day two the unit would not stop dispensing formula. I followed all the directions for setup, but in the end I had to send it back for a refund. The only way to kept it from dispensing formula was to unplug it. Pass this product over. Not worth the headache.

Medela calm is designed exclusively for breast milk feeding. Switching from bottle to breast has never been easier. Natural feeding behavior encourages easy transition from bottle to breast. Includes (1) all stage nipple, (1) cap, (1) lid made without BPA safe for mom and baby. All Medela breast milk bottles and products that come in contact with breast milk are and always have been made without BPA.
- pba free
- Made in USA or Imported
- Vented nipple helps avoid gassiness
- Flow control valve allows baby to control milk flow
- Mimics natural feeding behavior: baby can feed, pause and breathe, similar to breastfeeding
- One size or shape nipple for all stages of breast milk feeding
- Made without BPA
- Milk only flows when baby creates a vacuum
I had to hold my son sitting straight up and down, otherwise he would still choke on the flow from this nipple. If you really want a slow flow, you should get the medela special feeder nipple. It is more expensive but works. This nipple does not.
Iris Coos Bay, OR
I wanted to get this nipple as my infant seems to choke on milk with the regular nipple as it continues to flow without her providing suction. This nipple attempts to solve that by not free flowing milk, which it does a good job of. Unfortunately, when the suction is applied and the milk flows, the flow rate is too high and she still chokes and coughs on the milk. This was a great idea if only they could slow down the flow. This nipple ended up being a waste of money, but was worth a try. At an older age, she may be able to better tolerate the flow.
Debbie Mayersville, MS
Huge nipple with a strange flow that does not resemble mother’s nipple. It has lots of pieces to clean. The bottom cap does not want to come off easily (I always had to ask my husband or pull it with my teeth) and the latex shield was loose and it didn’t seem to fit well. Our baby hated it! I can’t believe it costs so much – it’s absolutely not worth it!

i am interested in the product,i’ve been reading all over, including info on the product, and this was by far a great one to read,i diff will try this item and yes walmart is the better place, you can get 2 for $17+tax and thats shipping included, thnx lots
Neva East Ellijay, GA
Similac has done their best to create a user friendly bottle with this product. Some of the things I liked about the bottle are:1. Removable “EasyMix” actually seems to help mix powdered formula. I had my doubts, but tried mixing with and without it and was able to mix the formula well without shaking like mad (which introduces bubbles into the formula).2. Vented nipple worked well to stop nipple collapse.3. While I don’t think screwing a nipple on a bottle is difficult, I know some can leak if they are overtightened. It was nice that this bottle has the SmartClose feature so you know exactly how tight/loose the nipple ring should be.4. I know some haven’t liked the soft nipple, but my son really did.5. Availability of a cap that that can store powder formula. The things I thought could use work:1. The vent in the nipple does what it says it will, but the air entering the bottle through it went straight into the formula right by where the baby is sucking formula out. I have a feeling a decent amount of air was introduced into the formula due to this.2. I would have loved for a powder cap to have come with the bottle instead of being an accessory.

Who knew that a baby bottle could be so technologically advanced? I really don’t mean to sound sarcastic because I was really amazed at all the features this bottle has to help your baby. This bottle solves all the feeding problems your baby may have:1) helps reduce fussiness and gas2) designed in such a way as to prevent leaks3) has a “tongue” type device that reduces the bubbles that commonly occur in other bottles and cause gas4) offers a nipple design that supports both bottle and breast feeding so you can give your baby what he/she needsMy favorite feature though, other than the fact that the bottle is BPA free, is that there are bottles available based on how much or how fast your baby eats. This way you can set the flow of how fast or slow your baby eats. If have a baby that needs to eat a lot quickly, like my grandson Noah, then you’ll find this feature to be particularly helpful. One final thing is that these bottles are tough. They won’t break easily, which to me is important especially if you travel a lot or just need baby bottles that need to be tough. Compared to other bottles that don’t cost much less, this is a real bargain and worth the price.
