Repositioning is recommended for all newborns; every baby is at risk for developing Flat Head Syndrome, plagiocephaly or torticollis. Because baby’s skulls are soft, yet heavy and necks are weak, infants are vulnerable to developing these conditions in the first few months of life. This is why, proper movement and deliberate repositioning of your infant from birth is one of the key’s to the healthy development of your baby. Tortle is a simple, comfortable beanie that is FDA cleared to help prevent and treat Flat Head Syndrome (plagiocephaly and torticollis). Early detection and correct use of Tortle will ensure the best long term results. To properly use the Tortle, you must pull the beanie down as far as possible so the crown of the head is fitted into the top of beanie and ears are covered. If beanie is covering baby’s eyebrows, you can fold the front of the beanie. Remember to let your Tortle grow with your baby and purchase the next Tortle size!
- 95% Cotton/5% Spandex
- Tortle helps to prevent and treat flat head syndrome. It does this by gently deflecting your baby’s head when she’s sitting or lying on the back of her head, to gently move her head from side to side. It’s a natural way to encourage healthy head and neck motion, without any of the suffocation risks of repositioning pillows or wedges.
- Sizes: Small (0-2 months/5-10 lbs.) Medium (2-4 months/10-15 lbs.) Large (4-6 months/15-20 lbs.)
- 95% cotton/5% spandex
- Machine Washable
- It is recommended that all newborns wear a TortleTM for the first six months of life to aid in repositioning baby’s head.
Got this for my son who is developing a flat spot behind his right ear from always wanting to look right when he sleeps (or is in his Fisher Price Rock & Play). It does seem to help keep him looking the other way but he’s strong enough that he can still get to looking right. Also, he is a very HOT baby and is always overheated so keeping a hat on him is a major challenge and I usually don’t even try since he’s hot to begin with. I think it’s a great idea and will probably save a lot of parents the worry over flat head syndrome, just isn’t the best for my son.
Latoya Rapelje, MT
This is a brilliant idea and works relatively well. My baby has torticollis and a flat spot. I use this overnight in the hopes of avoiding helmet therapy. Used with physical therapy, it does seem to be helping the torticollis. I generally wait until she is fast asleep and then quickly put it in. She’ll usually knock it off after about an hour, but I’m up every three for feedings and put it back on then. It works better than a rolled up towel.
Erin Cohocton, NY
Even though my baby was right in the middle of the weight & age sizes for the medium hat (3 months, 12 lbs), it was too small and kept sliding off. I think it would have worked well if it had fit. I’m going to have to order the next size up.

I was looking for a long-sleeved waterproof bib for my toddler-to-be, and I first purchasedBumkins Waterproof Sleeved Bib – Blue Fizz. They both have their pros and cons, but here’s the list for Kushies:PROS1. BPA-free, PVC-free, phthalates-free,
• (Bumkins is NOT lead-free, but only lead-
• )2. Easy to clean, especially on the lining (vs Bumkins’ lining stains and is regular cloth/cotton material and hard to clean)CONS1. Thinner material (almost feels disposable but it’s not)2. Velcro neck strap (doesn’t adjust to neck size of baby, not as resilient as a tie strap in terms of older babies pulling it off)Both have nice designs and work well as bibs. Like any other cloth/fabric-type bibs, the flimsy “catcher” at the bottom of these bibs doesn’t catch as nicely as hard plastic-type bibs but those stiffer bibs are also less comfortable. My baby seems comfortable in both Bumkins and Kushies sleeved bibs, although he tends to chew on the Bumkins one more whereas the thinner material (maybe the thinner material is actually a pro instead of con in this case?) allows the bib to fall against his body more and is less tempting than the thicker material of the Bumkins bib that sort of stays closer to his face/mouth.Overall though, Kushies gets my vote for lead-free, esp since my baby likes chewing on the Bumkins one. And the easier to clean is a big bonus for busy parents as well.

I couldn’t believe how much time I had to spend each day trying to get stains out of clothes. And with winter coming up, I wanted to get long sleeve bibs, which for some reason I haven’t seen in Babies R Us or any other store. Every bib I got seemed to have some issue, but I thought it might be helpful for others to see a comparison of the details:SIZEKushies – the smallest of the three bibs (sleeve – 11 inches from neck, width – 10 inches, length – 13 inches from neck).Ikea – sleeve (14 inches from neck, including a 1 inch fabric cuff), width (12 inches from one seam to another but another 8 inches that wrap around – yea!!), length (14 inches from neck)Bumpkins – sleeve (14.5 inches from neck), width (13.5 inches), length (12.5 from neck)Tidy Turtle – the largest (sleeve – 16 inches from neck, width – 14 inches, legth – 15 inches from neck)MATERIALKushies and Ikea are very thin, like umbrella material. Kusies folds down to nothing – great for a full diaper bag. Ikea folds a little thicker due to cloth cuffs and extra fabric.Tidy Turtle and Bumpkins are thicker and stiffer. Tidy Turtle has a visibly larger weave.CUFFSAll the sleeves have a 3-inch opening (in diameter).Kushies – no elastic cuff. Food may fall in and drip onto the baby’s arms/clothes.Ikea – 1 inch of soft spandex fabric. The cuff opening is just a little bit smaller than the other bibs.Bumpkins and Tidy Turtle – elastic sewn inside the bib material.NECK CLOSUREMy 20lb baby has a skinny neck. Unfortunately, all of the bibs are about the same size around the neck, regardless of what type of closure. Bumpkins ties together at the neck, and the others have velcro. Even they are supposed to be “adjustable” velcro, they are all about the same size opening on the smallest setting. With velcro, you also have to make sure you stick it together before washing. Otherwise, it will stick to and ruin your other clothes. Unfortunately, the Ikea bib has an extra long grippy part that cannot be covered, so you are sure to ruin some delicate clothes if you throw it in the wash without putting it in a separate lingerie bag or something. In general, all the long sleeve bibs seem too big for my my 1 year old and were too big around the neck area. Sometimes I use a clothes pin to make the neck opening smaller. Aside from that, I feel that Bumpkins and Ikea provide the best coverage without being too big. They are wide and long enough on the bottom and have an elastic cuff to keep Baby’s clothes clean. I like Ikea’s thinner material and spandex cuffs, but Bumpkins looks cuter (we love Cat in the Hat).

These work well, they protect my baby’s clothes. They are not perfect, some food does make its way through the arms and neck, but honestly, a bib should not be too tight to prevent that. One thing you should be aware of is that the dark colors leach like there is no tomorrow. I got a blue one and hand washed it in cold water before using it. The water was deep blue in no time. I returned it, baby will spill water and bring the bib to his mouth, I don’t need a lot of blue on him and his clothes!I do like them enough as to buy more and have them rotate through the day, though.

I was shocked when I read all of the 5 star reviews. These are horrible bibs. They are listed as waterproof, and is very far from the truth. Never have these kept moisture off of his clothing. We would have to double bib him, and even then, both would be drenched in a half hour or so. We will stick with our generic Target brand ones that absorb and wash great.
Lorraine La Vista, NE
My son has had bad reflux since birth. These bibs have been a great saver! They are a nice soft cotton, but still have enough waterproofing to them that the spit-up doesn’t soak through to his clothes. I also appreciate that they don’t have any design/embroidery on them, as it helps catch and absorb, where as the ones we received as gifts or with clothing sets haven’t worked. He is now drooling a lot and these have worked great for catching that, as well. They have stayed in great shape through 6 months of washing.
Faye Ohiopyle, PA
I bought this product based on the rave reviews and they were terrible! My 3-month old twins are not drooling yet, just using them for regular bottle feed and it soaks thru so quickly. Unless I got a batch of defected bibs, they really are no better than paper napkins…

I ended up returning this sleep sack. Even though it was labeled as a "small" it was considerably larger than the Halo Sleep Sacks we already had in small. But the main reason I returned it was because the fabric is so rough — very similar to burlap. And the colors are even brighter than shown in the picture. I worried that the color alone would be too stimulating for my baby to fall asleep quickly.
Rachael Accoville, WV
The material is a little rough so I have to put a onesie underneath. It fits well and does what its supposed to but I wish the fabric was softer.
Jaime Quinton, OK
This is adorable but the waffle fabric is not very soft. It’s actually kind of scratchy. And we’ve washed it several times.

This product is so cute, I’m giving it as a baby shower present. Not really sure how well they work but they definitely are cute.

cheap and poor quality. I received the bibs and the stitching is already coming off (without even using/washing it). The backs are also made out of a cheap plastic, which i do not like. The sayings are cute but do not buy these bibs.

I didn’t realize just how many bibs I’d need for newborn twins. Especially if you want to keep from staining all those lovely baby clothes you collected. These worked out great.

Keep baby safe and covered all night with the Halo SleepSack Swaddle and Wearable Blanket Set featuring one solid color size newborn (fits babies 6-12 lbs) SleepSack swaddle and one size small (fits 10-18 lbs) SleepSack wearable blanket with sheep print. The SleepSack wearable blanket eliminates loose blankets in the crib for safe sleeping as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Its sleeveless design reduces the risk of baby overheating and rebreathing into the sleeve. - The halo wearable blanket allows your baby to stay safe, warm and cozy all night long
- The original halo sleepsack wearable blanket now comes with a removable, adjustable swaddle feature this 2-in-1 sleepsack swaddle helps infants to be swaddled from birth
- It also allows you to move the feature down for arms out or remove it completely when no longer needed to use the sleepsack wearable blanket alone
This is a great swaddler and sleep blanket. They are well made, hold up in the wash, and work well as swaddlers (disassemble before washing though). However, for what you are getting, it should cost half of what it does, in my opinion. If it was more affordable I would give it 5 stars. I have only found it less expensive here than in other places though.
Hallie New Waterford, OH
I received the newborn set at my baby shower. There was a noticeable difference in my son’s sleeping when we started using these, probably when he was 2-3 weeks old. The swaddle feature stayed secure all night, and we knew he was warm and cozy. When his little arms started escaping around 4 months, we still used the sack, and bought bigger ones as he grew. I think we stopped using them around 13-14 months, when he could cover himself with his blankie. I wish they were a little cheaper–I ended up using my sewing prowess to lengthen one that was too short for him so I wouldn’t have to spend $20 on one. Cheapskate or thrifty??? Judge me all ya want, but it worked for us!
Shelley Koosharem, UT
I love Halo sleepsacks. I am very concerned about keeping a safe sleep space for our daughter. I love the material and the breathable cotton. These are awesome, but to be blunt, the swaddle sucks. We used it at first and it really helped our daughter get to sleep because she startled herself with her arms and woke herself up. However, the swaddle rode up near her mouth throughout the night. We ended up getting less sleep because we kept having to get up and adjust the swaddle. Even if you follow the directions perfect the swaddle rides up over the face. I’m surprised it has not been recalled. I am giving this 3 stars because we took the swaddle wings off and just used the blanket sleeper, which we really like. Just be wary of this swaddle. It is not safe. It is also a pain to wash. I like this set because you get 2 sizes, which is nice.

So we had high hopes for this swim diaper. Our son is 18.5lbs and wears a M. Unfortunately, the M does not fit too well, it gets all saggy and the other day we had an accident in the wading pool and voila EVERYTHING came out of the diaper. It did not contain anything. If you are looking for something to have more elastic around the legs and something that fits snug try Finis swim diaper or iPlay. Supposedly those work better…this one did not cut it for us.
Helene Gloversville, NY
This product works well. It is just as effective as the little dipper swim diapers that you can buy that are disposable. The best part is that you can use it over & over. Bear in mind what they are used for. If you arent comfortable with cleaning something up that has poo in it then maybe these arent for you. They fit well but when I ordered them I was concerned that a large may be too big. Unfortunately my son has already outgrown them. I guess it is hard to tell when you are ordering a product like this online. He is not quite 2 years old and of average size. There have been some floaters that have escaped while in the pool but no worse than any other product. Somehow its ok if my son makes #2 in the pool. Anyway I think you would be hard pressed to find anything that is completely effective at preventing escapage until you have a kid that is potty trained. As gross as it is there really aren’t any alternatives.
Ofelia Ipswich, SD
I bought two of these when we signed our 6 month old up for swim classes. He’s worn these twice a week for the past 8 months. They are great!!! Again for those that complain that they don’t absorb urine..——- SWIM DIAPERS ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO ABSORB URINE!!! That would totally defeat the point of a diaper for swimming. My boy did a number 2 only a couple of times and this swim suit caught it all just fine. Nice snug fit and they wash incredibly well. The velcro gets a little tattered, but honestly, for 8 months of weekly washing, they are so well made. These are very appropriate for an infant/early toddler to wear alone without being bulky. He received so many compliments on them. He’s now a bit bigger and wearing little boy trunks, but we put these underneath the trunks to catch any potties, because they will hold so much better than the trunks—-they are that good!! Get them, you wont be disappointed.

I love my Peg Perego Skate but one thing they forgot when they made this awesome travel system-how to transport it safely! At some point, parents will travel with this behemoth stroller.Enter this bag.True to it’s claim,it IS universal. As you probably know, The Skate isn’t the most lightweight of all full sized stroller and it’s painful on the back trying to load this on the trunk of a car alone-I always have to do it with the seat detached. For reference, I’m 5 ft tall and medium built.I love everything about it-I got mine in brown with red lining. Some things I think it could improve on-1-the mere fact it has wheels is great but the shoulder strap is impossible to sling on your shoulder if you have the heavy weight strollers like me.The weak point would be-the part where the shoulder straps attach and the velcro that gets left exposed once it’s fully packed.Maybe it could benefit from reinforcement?2-A wider handle at the top would be better as well. All in all, I don’t think this is an awesome product. It fit my Perego Skate and that’s one very heavy stroller( I can imagine only the 4mom’s Origami would be heavier than this), it will work for you too!I strongly recommend watching the helpful video on youtube and doing a practice packing at home before doing it on the airport.I am going to update this review once it’s flown with us.

The travel bag holds a ton. More then I thought it could. We packed it with a fold down full size bassinet from our Uppa Baby Stoller, 4 packs of 72 count diapers, Uppa Baby Vista Car seat, and a boppy. The bag comes with velcro that is really strong that is attached to the bag. It also comes with additional straps that velcro down. When we stuffed this bag we were at the very end of the velcro connecting. We were worried as we were traveling from the West Coast to India and back and with very little velcro keeping it closed… It did perfectly fine and did not open up. The other great feature is that the inside of the bag has a sort of nylon bag that cinches your items together when you put it in the bag. The cinch to the nylon internally attached bag will not encase all your items but does ensure they will not come out of the edges of the bag. The wheels are ok, inline skate type wheels on the lower end; you can not pull this far with any weight without having some issues of drag, but it is pull able. The strap to pull it with is nylon material so as long as the weight is low I think it would work fine and would be easy on your hand, we did take this to the extreme.Airline Tip: Airlines usually put your stroller on for free, since this bag can exceed some size limits on airlines, stuff it full and tell them it is your stroller at check in. They are not going to open it up. Then bring your stroller to gate check.
Allie Rosepine, LA
I got this to fly with my B-Ready and it was a great fit even with the second seat in the bag. I was also able to stick a folding clip on high chair in the bag too. It also fits the Bugaboo Bee easily and I’m sure many other strollers. So nice to have a versatile bag that works for lots of different size strollers. I’m looking forward to using it in the future with some of my many strollers.

These mittens smaller size I found to be PERFECT until she was about 10 weeks. I liked that they weren’t huge oven mitts, they stayed on her hands, and didn’t stretch out. But now that she’s 12 weeks, I feel bad putting them on because they are so tight around her wrist. So, I wouldn’t say they go up to 6 months of age. But they were my favorite when she was little, I bought 4 pairs.
Kelsey Stamford, VT
These mittens are PERFECT. With my first baby, I bought a pack of Gerber mittens and they SUCKED. Always falling off and the elastic was flimsy and coming undone. I’ve been using these for a week on my week old daughter and they haven’t fallen off once! They’re pink and go with all her outfits and don’t seem to bother her or be too tight. They stay on without leaving indents in her little hands. I love these! Highly recommend!!

Our baby can spit up with the best of them. These cloths provide great coverage and absorption – the only other product that comes close are the thick ply old fashioned cloth diapers. They are soft and cute and have held up after many washings. I highly highly recommend getting many of these if you have a champion spit-upper on your hands.

These are a nice size, good looking, and absorbent! We loved them so much we bought a second pack. We found other cloths too small.
