My mother in law purchased this dresser to match the Emily 4-1 crib. Colors match well (honey oak). We are using this dresser as a changing table as well, to conserve space and alleviate future furniture purchases. It is just the right height for my husband and I. I’m 5’6″ and he is 6′. The dresser was fairly easy to assemble with two people, taking less than an hour. The only issue I have is the crib is solid wood and worth the $200 we spent on it, however this dresser was $100 more and made of wood and wood product (aka=flimsy drawer bottoms). I wanted the dresser to match and I was completely aware of the quality, but was a bit pricy (but it was a gift).
I purchased this since it matched my daugher’s crib. Very heavy, and arrived well packaged, with no scratching or damage. A little difficult to put together with one person, taking about an hour and a half. The only concern that I have, is that each of the drawer fronts have popped off at one point, since having clothes put in. We have fixed this, and it has not happened since, but makes me wonder if as the clothes get heavier, it may not hold up as well.
I purchased this product to match the DaVinci Emily Crib we bought 5 months ago. I was a little concerned about the quality of the material used for this product based on other reviews, but the product is as good as any other particle board product can be. The packaging was good, the wood finish is good (and matches with the crib) and more importantly it was quite easy to put together. I would strongly recommend this product along with the crib (see my separate review for the crib).
Looks nice, but is made of cheap materials
I purchased the entire DaVinci Emily set for my daughter’s bedroom. Thankfully, the crib is sturdy and well made. The changing table and this dresser are cheap quality. They all look nice in the room, and to the casual observer, one probably would think they were quality pieces. But the drawers are flimsy, the knobs fall off, and it was a real pain in the a$$ to put together. Now that my daughter is crawling, I worry she’s going to pull the whole thing on top of herself. The big positive is that it holds a ton of clothes. The drawers are deep and I fit pretty much all of her clothes in here.
Beautiful Dresser, Easy Project
This dresser was hands-down the easiest furniture assembly I’ve done in the past several years. All the parts (screws, etc.) were there, all the holes were well-drilled and centered, and everything fit together just as it should. I did nearly all of it by myself, in about three hours. The finished dresser is beautiful and has plenty of storage for all of my daughter’s clothes. I would highly recommend this dresser!
