Made cheap, not worth the money!

By far the worst baby furniture quality for the money! $240 for a cheaply made peace, the paint or whatever the cover it with comes off as you put it together. This is suppose to be wood, about 30% of it is, the rest is not wood. The instructions are so bad, it’s not even funny. I’ve put a lot of furniture over the years, and I did put this together eventually. It’s not even that none of the parts are labeled. But the printed material is put together by someone who has never seen or touched the unit. Some of the holes are drilled in wrong places, there are extra holes that you don’t even know if you’re missing something that might go together. For our first baby, I bought a baby furniture from Walmart, it was half the price, twice the quality and instructions that my wife could put together within a half an hour. Don’t waste your money, buy different brand!

First thing first, I read the reviews before I purchased this item and I hired a handyman to put the dresser together for me. Unless you are really good at furniture assembly, it does appear to be on the complicated side to put together and requires two people to assemble it. There are a lot of parts. That being said, I LOVE the dresser. The espresso color matches perfectly to the Kendall crib I purchased at PBK. The price point of this dresser is unbeatable. It’s not 100% perfect and not the most amazing dresser I’ve ever seen, but it’s also not a million dollars so I’m not sure what the one negative review is about. Overall, the price is great, the look and color is great. All new baby items smell a little when they arrive out of the box. Just assemble it and air it out before baby comes. It’s very functional and will serve me well for the next few years it’s in use. The changing pad that comes with the item you’ll just toss and get a contoured $15 one. If the veneer/wood chips, just get a $2 dollar wood colored pen and fill it in. This is a great dresser/changing table for the price.

The instructions are bizarre!!

The instructions were hard to follow and saying in some pictures there were 4 drawers, some there were 3. If you are relying on the directions… good luck. Plus the assembly is quite intricate if you are not used to that type of thing. Luckily, I had help to put it together. Assembly time was approx. 2 hours. I am quite satisfied with the quality- it is very sturdy, which when pulling out the parts I wasn’t so sure it would be. The stain and finish is really nice as well. I bought a Pottery Barn crib and they both look like they are from the same manufacturer- I am very impressed with that. I highly recommend this changing table, if you are experienced with IKEA like assembly. Although I do wish the bottom of the drawers were a little sturdier- I worry that over time or with too much weight put in them they will start to sag. We will see…. they do slide in/out very smoothly, though.

Pretty and serves it’s purpose

Nice looking, scratches easily…as all the DaVinci furniture does, and was pretty easy to put together. Complaints: Smells like paint stain and HATE the pad that it came with. I contacted the company re: the smell and the reassure me that everything about the changing table is non-toxic. I still question it as I believe anything that off gases isn’t good. We settled for the cheap foam pad it came with, only because we figured our daughter wasn’t laying on it for any length of time. Over time, it’s gotten a couple tears, one on each side. We cover the pad with organic receiving blankets and will throw it out if it gets any worse.

Problematic at first but love it now.

The first one that was sent to me sucked since it was missing the instructions and some of the hardware; but the replacement was great. Everything was in the box and the instructions were easy to follow.
