One major drawback= 1 star

I have had this beautiful piece, for a year now. It is lovely and matches the davinci crib perfectly! It is great in all aspects but One: the rail design, around the top is probably the worst design for a dresser/ changing table. My baby’s leg slips under it, just while I’m picking her up. This has happened only a few times, but my gosh! It’s horrible. It’s tough enough keeping her flailing limbs secure during changes. This rail adds to the number of bumps and bruises she aquires now, on a daily basis. As she has grown longer, her head is right up against the wood:( I would also love to continue using this in her room, but it won’t convert to a book case without some alterations.Consider this before purchase. Otherwise, the overall quality is great. The risk of injury to baby’s legs though, when picking baby up is my reason for 1 rating. I would not recommend this product. Go with a flat surface or one which is completely encased. Happy safe baby = happy confident mommy!

not very strong

i like to start of by saying cherry colour is not really cherry:(sad but true, it did not match my other davinci stuff that was also cherry.i am a little worried that the changing top will not be strong enough to hold a baby for long. its made out of partical board about 1/4 inch think. what if your little one happens to make a mess, that board is going to turn to mush.the construction is very poor and it not really worth the money, but to late now for me 🙁

despite some misgivings, ended up looking good!

I ordered this with some trepidation. One, some negative reviews here, second the Amazon color is “brown” but I wanted espresso. Turns out Brown IS espresso. It perfectly matches our Kalani espresso crib. It took a quite a while to put it together, certain stages do require two people (just like it says in the manual.) The manual is not very clear, the parts are not labeled and certain steps are not explicitly called out, you sort of need to figure it out on your own. Like other people said, it DOES scratch real easily, indeed. However, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better table in this price point. Took me about 2 hrs to put everything together, it was quite a project. In the end, it is rock solid. DaVinci is a Million Dollar Baby brand, excellent customer service. I managed to mess up a bolt accidentally, sent them an email, a replacement came in the mail in 2 days. Two things I wish they’d improve.1. Better instructions + parts need to be labeled.2. The drawers when pulled from a side, end up a little skewed, you need to pull from the center.Otherwise, good product, real solid.

I bought this for my baby daughter’s arrival in late 2011. Less than one year into using this, 2 of the three drawers were broken, dangerous and unusable. Today (April 2013) I took the third and final broken drawer out to the curb. Unfortunately, I need a changing table for my toddler daughter, so I must have the unsightly drawer less piece of furniture in her adorable nursery – but I have to walk back and forth to the equally crappy accompanying chest of drawers that matches the changing table that I also bought. At least 3 drawers are still functional on that. Do not buy either piece of furniture: they are a rip off.

Got it from a furniture store, some important points to consider!

First off I got this changing table with the matching Kalani crib in Espresso. I really wanted the “Emily” crib because I like the rounded top rail look. But the feet on this changing table do not match the feet on the Emily style crib.BUT look at the top rail on this changing table – rounded rail. Then look at the crib – no rounded rail! It’s more like a sleigh. Very frustrating when this piece doesn’t quite match either crib. But once you get past that the changer itself is nice.Color is nice, though the finish scratches very easily. The drawers are spacious and roll in and out smoothly – however, they are not very sturdy at all. I don’t suspect they will hold up to climbing and such so be prepared for that. I really want this thing to last through toddler years right along with the convertible crib – especially considering the price. We’ll see!Overall it’s a gorgeous set. I really like the look of it and my Father in law, who gifted us the set ultimately, is very pleased! The changing table, drawers aside, is very sturdy and I feel safe using it for baby.

It’s OK

It’s an OK changer. Not hard to assemble. But it’s not very sturdy, and it’s easy to make a scratch on the surface.

Poor quality

When you open the drawers it feels cheaply made! I felt like I would break it everytime I opened the drawer.

Nice, solid furniture that looks good, too

Originally, when I heard that this was pine, I hesitated, but it isn’t at all flimsy and it feels more like hardwood.I put this together last night in about an hour and a half. It was very easy to do. (I am also 38 weeks pregnant!) The dresser is nicely made, looks great and is very sturdy and solid. The color is very nice and the drawers slide smoothly.

Good buy

Bought matching crib and changing table. Color good, sturdy furniture. Have been using for 6 weeks now and have no complaints. Nice amount of room on top for changing baby

Great deal for price, hefty set up

This is a beautiful changing table, it looks just as pictured. I am very happy with it. The only unhappy one was my husband- it was a bear to set up- came in a zillion pieces.

Baby gift for my grandson who isn’t here yet. The parents chose this, I know they all will love it.

Easy to asssemble (and unassemble)

This changing table was very easy to assemble and looks really nice. I was able to put it together by my self while I was pregnant. The problem is that the screws tend to come loose, so every time I move the table (by scooting it on the carpet) I have to tighten the screws or it wobbles. The changing table is comfortable for my little one, and she likes to grab onto the rails when I am changing her (although, that could be an issues for an older child).

Beautiful piece of furniture. Will get the job done.

This piece arrived in excellent condition. We sat down and put it together in roughly an hour. I worked on the drawers and my husband put the frame together. It looks fantastic in our nursery. Baby won’t be here for a few more months, but it seems very sturdy and I know I will love having the extra drawer space! The mattress pad that comes with it is so-so. I plan to make my own “pillow case” type covering for it with material that matches the baby’s bedding. Should do the job just fine!

great size and really sturdy – we were expecting cheap material because of the price but were surprised by the quality… it did take over 2 hours for my Mr. DIY / fix it man to put it together ….

Cheap wood

It seems to be made of cheap and light wood. It’s very light and it probably won’t last for a long time. It’s useful, well designed and works well for now, though.

Holding up!

The drawers are falling apart (we had to glue them) and you have to re-tighten the screws every once in a while, but for the most part this changing table has held up.
