Next time I’d get one with drawers
The quality of this changer is fine and it’s easy to assemble. The one thing I’ve learned over the last two years is that as your infant becomes a toddler, he will start pulling things from the table. I’ve had to restack diapers and clothes and even just have the bottom shelf full of toys that I didn’t have to reorganize if he got to it. My recommendation for new parents is to get a changing table with drawers so that you don’t have to worry about your toddler getting easy access to stuff you don’t want to keep reorganizing. The ease of access is nice, but pulling out a drawer isn’t that much more work. ALSO when we were sleep training, I found my son sleeping on top of his changer two nights in a row so we had to remove the changing table from his room at 18 months of age. I don’t know how he got to the top, but I’m sure he wouldn’t be able to do that if there were no open shelves to climb onto.If you want more reviews on baby products, check out the website AllMomsArePerfect.com for a must have baby registry list (vs. what you don’t need), what to expect at the hospital delivery, a full stroller shopping guide, and even how to navigate the first year of parenthood.
Nice changing table for the price. Should have a little shelf to the side for the diapers, wipes, etc or a top that is bigger than a changing pad… but most changing tables don’t. Easy to assemble and looks more expensive than it is. The changing pad that comes with it is poor quality – buy one (you can get a really nice Summer Infant changing pad for $30 or so on Amazon).
Great changing table!
I ordered the "espresso cherry" because the regular cherry looked too red, and I’m glad I did. The espresso cherry is a deeper red and it matched my crib color perfectly! The table is very sturdy and with only 14 screws it was relatively easy to assemble. One of the grooves wasn’t cut out completely (for the shelves to slide into) so I had to whittle it down myself but other than that it went together quickly. The changing pad that comes with it is really thin, so I would recommend upgrading to a better pad. This table is definitely worth the money!! Love it!
This is a great changing table. I liked it so much when we had our second child I ordered another one for their room, we’re still using the other one. It was fairly easy to put together, I was able to put it together myself. It is a great size for me and it’s sturdy. For the price I would recommend it to anyone. Great product overall and aesthetically pleasing.
NOT Made in USA
Not Made in the USA like the website states. Was very disappointed when the box arrived with a giant Made in China on it. But overall, it was easy to put together, feels sturdy, and I like the color. No chips or marks on the one I received. Arrived on time and in good condition.
Great table, great price
Bought this changing table for my soon-to-be son’s nursery. His room isn’t very big and with a crib and dresser, I needed something that would fit nicely in the room without overcrowding it. This table is it! It was easy to assemble (took only about 20 minutes) and matches our Baby Cache espresso crib and dresser very well (we bought the black). The changing pad that comes with the table is thin and flimsy, so we purchased a thicker contoured one to replace it. The table will fit a standard 16×32 changing pad snugly and securely. The shelves are tall and fit storage bins of all sizes. Perfect for all the diapering essentials we will need for our little guy. Despite the need for a different changing pad, I give this product 5 stars because of the price, quality and look. If you’re on the fence, just buy the table!
I would definitely recommend this furniture. It is very sturdy, made of solid wood, arrived fast, undamaged and was assembled in no time by me and my husband.I took the cherry espresso one and it is a dark red brownish beautiful color very rich. It is spacious enough to put all you need to change the nappies.Furthermore it is equipped with a solid harness to make sure the baby does not roll over. I would recommend this product.
perfect match with other furniture
Matched perfectly with the other baby furniture. That was a great help because our baby crib and dresser set did not have a seperate changing table as part of the series.
Decent for price
The rite was as described. Not the most high end piece but what do you expect for the price. It’s sturdyenough to not fall apart when you’re changing a diaper.
Exactly as described. Very sturdy, nice color with subtle red tones. We bought this to go with our chestnut crib and its not a bad match colorwise. It does take two people to put it together.
This came extremely fast, very well packaged, and in perfect condition. We bought the stork craft tuscany 4 in 1 crib in cherry color and this changing table in black cherry matched almost 100 percent(you can hardly see a difference). I was super pleased with the beautiful color. Husband and I put it together within 20 minutes, assembly was very easy and we had zero problems. This piece is VERY sturdy and a perfect size for our nursery, not too big and not too small. I can foresee this lasting us a long time! If you are considering buying this, you should. You will not regret it!
This is a great piece that would work well in any nursery. The color is great and its very simple to put together. I put it together myself at 8 months pregnant with no trouble. It’s very sturdy and well-made.
First Time Expectant Father – Chose Delta In The End – Very Pleased
My wife and I are expecting next spring, but as most parents do, they go ahead and get their furniture prior to the baby arriving. I’d like to think that my wife and I are like any loving set of parents. We would do anything for our child but our thought processes are also based on practicality. When we first visited USA Baby (a nationwide baby specialty store) and Babies R Us, we were surprised to find that various furniture they had in their showroom was as expensive if not more expensive than the full bedroom suite we have in our master bedroom (includes nightstands, beds, multiple dressers, mirror, etc). Some of the cheapest “suites” were around $1600+ and if our child is going to use it until she’s at least a teenager with the growing pains of her abusing her own furniture over the years, I’m not willing to spend that much. My wife then went to Target, saw the Delta line (she was happy with the appearance & construction) and then we made our choices based on their website. The crib isDelta Bentley S Series 4-in-1 Crib(Amazon’s picture is wrong, go to Delta’s website to see the actual style) and the dresser isDelta Universal 6 Drawer Dresser, White. If you’re wondering, yes we mixed & matched the furniture from different product lines Delta offers. All the furniture is white (finish number 100 by Delta’s catalog). If you’re going to go the same route as us (mix and match), make sure the finish number is the same across all the products you choose, otherwise you’ll have mismatched finishes. The changing table was chosen because it had nice “curves” compared to the Delta Bentley series changing table (which was just square-ish). Because we got the “Bentley S” crib, it’s a little more elegant than the standard “Bentley” line. There is a “Bentley S” changing table, but it was not available in white at the time of our purchases. The finish of the white is a glossy, pure white (like bright white paper). It doesn’t seem to scratch very easy and overall I was pleased with the finish all over each part. After assembly, the changing table is very sturdy. I am pleased with the craftsmanship. From start to finish, it took me about 30 minutes to assemble the changing table. I’m 5’10” and the changing table comes up to about the upper part of my thigh/lower part of my hips. While I think this might be short for some, it doesn’t bother me since changing a baby doesn’t take that long. I think I would be able to endure the “bent over” position for a few minutes. For shorter people, this is a good height. One last note is that there was an issue with the furniture but Delta quickly rectified it and I could not be more pleased with the customer service. The right side of the changing table had a hairline split in the wood. Structurally it’s fine but aesthetically, you can see the split very easily. I called them up the next day, got a customer representative very quickly. Told them the issue, gave them the model # and lot #, told them what part it was, provided my name & address and BAM. The part was ordered and on its way. The whole call literally took less than 5 minutes.Customer service and product quality is top notch for the price point. Because of that, I’m very very pleased with Delta.
Must Have – Great quality
This table has worked out great for us! We initially didn’t think we’d need a changing table so we bought a pack n play with changer instead. The first day home with our newborn we knew the pack n play wasn’t going to cut it! We are short (I’m 5’3) and the pack n play change was still way to short for us to comfortably change our baby. When changing 10+ diapers a day, I’m not dealing with a backache too. We still use the pack n play for upstairs changes, but we have this changing table downstairs where we primarily change our newborn. It is the perfect height and the shelves give lots of storage. It feels more expensive than it is. It is well built and sturdy. I like that the baby lays inside and there are railings all around. Even when she is older there is no chance of her rolling off the table. This is the only place in the house our baby lays content and happy. She loves her changing table. We bought this diaper caddy to go under and it fits perfectly and organizes extra diapers, ointment, wipes, thermometer, etc.:Munchkin Sarabear Portable Diaper WaffleWe also bought this to hang on the side to make diaper changes quicker and easier:Prince Lionheart Diaper Depot ClearWe also use the baskets that came with this infant closet organizer:Delta Piece Nursery Closet Organizer
Sturdy and attractive
This sturdy table looks nice and the color is true to the product image. It was very easy to assemble and arrived in perfect condition. I recommend buying a thicker changing pad, but the one that comes with it is still useful as an around the house changing surface.
Great product for the price
This is very affordable & a nice quality. Even though the materials aren’t expensive, it looks great & is sturdy & safe. It went together easily & works well with our nursery.
Solid and beautiful
We purchased a Baby Cache Oxford crib from ToysRUs and wanted a changing table that would compliment the crib. First, I was not too keen on buying a changing table at all. I have 2 kids already and did not use a changing table for them and from reading other opinions, the changing table is only useful for a few months anyways, and then just becomes an inconvenient useless peice of furniture. My wife however, wanted the room to look "complete". So I surfed around and found this. It looked like a good combination of elegence and low price. When I put it together I was pleased to see it really did compliment the crib and looks beautiful in the nursery. Besides it is solidly made and seems like a good quality, especially for the price. Now, if we find it useful then I will have to concede my wife was really right and I was wrong.
Better Than Expected
As a single, soon to be mom (33 weeks along), this was more quality than what I had expected for the price. It was relatively easy to put together. Though not necessary, would have been helpful to have someone else around. All the tools and hardware (which literally only consisted of 14 screws and a key to turn them with) were included. The instructions were very clear (which isn’t always the case as I am learning in putting together everything baby). The product arrived FAST (within 2 days) and nothing was damaged. The holes aligned just fine – I was worried upon reading other reviews. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product for budget conscious moms.
Just as advertised
Easy to put together, looks good, does the job. Nothing fancy, but definitely not cheap feeling. Sturdy & attractive. Happy with the purchase.
Nice table, works well, looks good. A part arrived broken however, and we had to have it replaced. Once that was taken care of, the table is great and stable.
Arrived quickly. Easy to assemble. Very sturdy.Scratches VERY easily. It’s not as tall as I thought it would be.
My baby is 5 months old and we love this changing table! We were so glad to find this as we had been looking and looking for a changing table that would match the DaVinci Jayden 4 in 1 crib. It is hard to find white furniture it seems. Both the crib and this changing table have proven to be great purchases. There is enough room for 4 big baskets on the shelves. We did buy a softer changing pad, however.
Arrived damaged and unsafe to use. After reading other reviewers’ notes that it took weeks to get replacement parts, I decided I couldn’t wait that long and returned it to Amazon. Looks cheaply made with low cost wood
Came in record time, was fairly easy to assemble aside from one screw that fit into absolutely none of the appropriate holes! I easily found another one in our drawer of excess screws and had no other problems assembling it. The table works great, the only thing to consider is that the railing on the top is a little low if you have one of the contoured changing pads, but it comes with straps (and so does the contoured changing pad) so you can always strap in the baby if you need to step away!
Looks great !
Love this changing table it goes great with the matching crib. It was a little tricky to put together but eventually got it done & it looks great. I love the shelves & railing. The changing pad that comes with it is thin but I don’t mind as its soft enough for a quick diaper change. I bought a changing pad cover for it but then you can’t really use the straps which I probably wouldn’t use anyway as I will be standing right there.
Delta Eclipse Changing Table NOT made in America as advertised.
I scoured the internet and local stores for changing table that was sturdy, attractive, and made inAmerica. I found this changing table on Amazon. I ordered it,happy with my find. It arrived quickly in proper intact packaging. The table was easy to assembly but a rubber mallet was needed to gently tap the knobs into the predrilled holes as they were not perfectly lined up. The table was sturdy enough although the legs were not even as it wobbled to and fro. There were a few scratches but nothing major. The bottom two shelves were a littler weak but more than strong enough to hold several packages of wipe and 90 dippers. The top shelf on which the baby laid was not made of 2 X 4s but strong enough to hold a 12 month old baby (25 lbs). It is attractive and the finish is fine. The changing surface is surrounded by approximately 6 inch high rails to help protect the baby from rolling off. The plastic mattress that comes with the changing table is very thin but since the baby is only on the table for brief periods, it is sufficient. I put a king sized pillowcase on the pad that is long enough but has to folded under over along the sides. The straps on the changing table thread through the mattress pad, but I don’t use them as I do NOT walk away while the baby is there. The kicker is this. I bought this changing table because it was advertised and still is as of today, as being made in the USA. It is NOT! Clearly, labels on the box and on the table itself states that this table is made in China labels.I contacted Amazon and customer service was quick to answer my query about the origination of the table and offered to send another. I was assured via email that the replacement table was made in the USA. The send table arrived. The above written review remains the same except that the second table arrived with more scratches and the finish has more "bumps".This table is made in China and I worry about the finish having toxic chemicals I do not want the baby contacting. The pad protects baby from touching the shelf but does not keep him from hanging onto or rolling over and putting his mouth on the railing. Not sure what I’m going to do. I need a changing table and I like the looks of this one. I’ve yet to find another table that I like that is made in the USA. I don’t know what I’m going to do.
It is pretty.
I second guessed myself on the color and should have gone darker but listened to another reviewer. It’s okay, I’ll survive. I just wish it were taller. I am 5’9" with a bad back and soon to be another C-Section incision. The slight bend you have to do to reach the baby is going to kill me, I can tell already. I am trying to figure out how to raise it safely. The only solution I think will be to build an 8" table for it to stand on. If you are tall with a bad back… just consider sitting on your bed or couch to change baby. This is too short for me.
Petite and beautiful
It’s a little short for some talk people but I wanted a compact, smaller changing table and that’s what I got. Easy to put together, beautiful color and make and build. Love the storage although I kind of wish they were a bit bigger. Stil I would recommend.
Can’t expect too much in terms of quality for this price.
I looked around for a sturdy, sleek changing table at BabiesRUs and BuyBuyBaby but neither of the stores had the style and height I was looking for. I ordered a sleigh style crib from Potter Barn and so when I saw this changing table I thought it would work really well. I’m 5’9 so was hoping for a slightly higher piece and based on the measurements provided – it did appear that it would be higher than the standard ones. The piece arrived yesterday and it took my husband maybe 20 mins to put it together. It is sturdy and the ‘wood’ appears heavy and ‘nice’. The side panels and curved front panels do give it a nice look. The only thing is, the height measurement includes that back ‘headboard’ looking like piece which is misleading b/c the height of the table in reality (where you put the baby) is just the standard height. SO, it did seem a little short for me, but I guess I’ll make it work. This changing table is not high end at all, and it can be seen in the finish of the wood. I noticed few blaches of paint, few cracks but luckily on the back piece that is not visible. For a little over $100 you just can’t expect more… I don’t plan on using it for longer than a year or so and will replace it with a nicer drawer piece. In the meantime, it will do for now. Most importantly is it pretty heavy/sturdy and has lots of room on the two shelves. There is a really thin pad that comes with it, but I’ve replaced it with a nice thick/contour one from Potter Barn which I guess gives that extra inch or height.
Great sturdy Changing Table
It doesn’t look as sturdy as I thought it would be in the photos but it is. Very nice looking as well.
