I bought this mattress thinking it would work. I just got it today, and after 3 years of amazon shopping, this will be my first return. It is too big for my graco playard, and like the other reviewer said it is so soft I dont think its safe enough for my soon to be newborn baby.
The worst ever
Wow is this item the pits and a waste of money. It’s like a pillow not a mattress. My 14 lb baby sank right in the middle rendering it useless. I tried the Carter’s velour cover and it was way to small. Fits the pack and play but what a piece of crap. The plastic cover over the foam/pillow whatever it is also way to big for what’s inside. Bad manufacturing from start to finish. Save yourself the hassle and put a thick quilt on top of what comes in pack and play and that works much better and feels more like mattress the baby uses when at home.
This mattress. Oh my God. So, I ordered this about a week ago for my son’s graco pack and play. It arrived today and I was skeptical already due to the reviews that said it was too hard. I was pleased to find that not only was it not too firm, but the sheets I already had fit it perfectly! Plus, now my son has a new mattress to sleep on. I am thrilled with this buy. Would definitely recommend.
Perfect Fit and Firmness – Great value
I was very skeptical about buying this because of the reviews on SOOOOO many of these pack’n’play mattresses not fitting in the models with the bassinet/cuddle cove – the one that I have. Other people said that there were gaps, that they had to put a rolled up towel on the side, etc, but for me it fits perfectly. Granted, right now it is in the bassinet portion of my pack’n’play, and I haven’t put it in the lower portion, but there is no gap. Also, I read a few reviews that complained it was supposed to be soft, but wasn’t – don’t listen to them. For safety, a baby is supposed to be put on a FIRM mattress, but the surface supplied by the pack’n’play is just ridiculously hard. A baby mattress like this will not be (nor /should/ it be) as soft as a typical adult mattress, but it is much, much softer than what comes with the pack’n’play. I absolutely could not get my little one to go to sleep in it before the mattress, and now I have no problem. I have been using it for a good 2 months, now, and I love it. I would DEFINITELY recommend.
this does not fit a Graco Pack n Play! Do Not Buy
This is not a perfect fit for the Graco Pack n Play!! The corners of this mattress sticks out and is very dangerous for your baby to sit & stand. Please do not buy this, I really want to return this item but I already threw away the packaging materials..there’s my $$$ down the drain..
Fits Graco Pack ‘N Play On the Go Travel Playard (Go Green)
I had a tough time figuring out which mattress went with the Pack ‘N Play I ordered, because the descriptions of playard mattresses sometimes have conflicting information. I went by measurements, though, and hoped this would work. It did! This is the perfect size for our Pack ‘N Play On the Go Travel Playard. We’re using this with a sheet made by Carter’s.The mattress seems to be just right–not too firm, not too soft. When I was setting up the Pack ‘N Play and I saw how firm and uneven the mattress-thing that comes with it is, I was really glad I bought this to add to our setup. It seems like it would be much more comfortable than without. My daughter has slept on this a few times now, and she seems quite comfortable.
Three words: Best. Thing. Ever. – My son would not sleep in his pack and play at all, as in never…..until I bought this mattress. We use it when we travel and he sleeps all night in it. There are a few things to note about this though: 1) My pack and play has the two levels. A higher level for when they are very small and then a lower setting as they get bigger. At the higher level, this mattress did not fit well (it’s a Graco by the way) because of the way the pack and play (p&p from now on) is constructed. I did make it work but I had to push in the corners of the mattress and I was a little bowed when he was not in it. Not a deal breaker, I think, but something to be aware of. It fits perfect on the lower bed setting. 2) Not sure if special sheets are available for this. My p&p sheets do not fit this at all. I’m guessing there are so look for them and buy with it…I put a regular crib sheet which is too big but I made it work until I find the right ones. 3) This mattress makes the "pack" part of p&p less convenient as you do have to lug this mattress around. It is however very lightweight and can easily fold in half. I bet you could roll it too and secure it with w bungee or something. Either way, so worth it to have a sleeping baby!!
Fits Graco PNP Perfectly!
I got this based on other reviews, and I’m so glad I did! It fits the Graco Pack ‘n Play we got perfectly (which is this model:Graco Baby Pack ‘n Play Playard with Reversible Napper and Changer, Go Green) and it seems much more supportive than the basic PNP one (we put this on top of the PNP base). We use these sheets with it for warmer weather:American Baby Company 100% Organic Cotton Interlock Fitted Pack N Play Sheet, Naturaland for colder weather:American Baby Company Heavenly Soft Chenille Porta Crib Sheet, Chocolate. We also use theAmerican Baby Company Waterproof Embossed Quilt-like Portable/Mini Protective Pad, Whiteunder the fitted sheet.
If space and money is tight, skip the cribs and just use these with your pack n plays
We use these all the time. In fact, if I had known we could just use these I never would have bought a standard crib. Our babies sleep peacefully on them and pack n plays are much smaller than cribs and perfect for those with twins.
fits the pack n’ play perfectly
Definitely improves the sleeping surface of the PnP. This way we use the PnP as a bassinet beside our bed. Fits the REGULAR SIZED PnP not the smaller travel version. Very happy
I recommend this mattress to anyone with a standard graco pack n play. fits great! no gaps at all. Its is firm yet comfortable and it lifts the position of the baby up so in my experience its easier to just reach in and adjust baby if it’s needed. It seemed to help baby sleep longer because they graco mattress "pad" is so hard and those metal bars are right under it. I was trying to go cheaper but I’m glad I didn’t and found this because its not too expensive and it works perfect! I am very pleased. I bought the american baby organic cotton sheets and they fit this mattress very well. don’t debate just do it. perfect!
Dream On Me 3″ Foam Graco Pack n Play Mattress
I have two "Graco Pack ‘n Play On The Go Travel Playard", and bought two of this "Dream On Me 3" Foam Graco Pack n Play Mattress"–which fit perfectly. I like that the mattress has a vinyl cover over it for leaks and such, but it doesn’t seem to make for a very comfortable sleep area for my babies. Also, it kind of made a crinkly noise when they would move around. The problem I have beyond this mattress is that I have trouble finding sheets that fit. I’ve ordered "Luvable Friends Fitted Pack n Play sheets", and the only ones that fit perfectly were the "Traditional Pink Print" (this is the one with teddy bears dressed in a pink ballerina outfit). I ordered the "American Baby Company 100% Cotton Value Jersey Knit Fitted Portable/Mini Sheet" in Pink, and even though the sheet’s really soft, it doesn’t fit quite well. Also, because the mattress has the vinyl/plastic covering, I decided to get the "American Baby Company Waterproof Quilted Cotton Portable/Mini Crib Mattress Pad Cover". The padding doesn’t fit it perfectly, but when I pair it with a fitted sheet–voila! Perfect sleep area for my babies.
Fits the Pack & Play
No gaps between the mattress and the Pack & Play; fits perfectly. Now my little grand daughter has a comfy place to nap while she visits! Carter Easy Fit portable crib sheets work well on this mattress.
Great for the pack n play
This mattress make the portable crib more comfortable for our grandson when we take vacations and babysit. This is the third one I have purchase.
Graco Pack’ n Play Mattress
Bought this for my graco pack and play play yard. Wanted a mattress to put into the play pen, as the play pen came with a padded board, but i find it a little too hard to put my baby (5 months then) in it without a mattress. This mattress is neither too hard nor too soft. My baby would sleep in it while we travel. It fits perfectly into my graco pack and play play pen. And for those looking for a sheet, i bought the “Carters Easy Fit Jersey Portable Crib Fitted Sheet” for it and it fits very well on it. Hope this review helps! The link for the crib sheet:B001CWF01O
Makes the Pack n Play so much better for Sleeping
We use a Graco Pack ‘n Play for our toddler to sleep on when we sleep at my parents. The Pack ‘n Play by itself was fine when she was an infant but now that she is older she was rolling around and waking up in the middle of the night. I ordered the mattress and had it delivered and noticed an immediate difference in her sleep (i.e. less rolling around, etc.) This mattress fits perfectly and makes the pack n play so much better for sleeping.
Fits perfectly and is the same as a real crib mattress
The mattress itself is exactly like the firm mattress that is in my son’s crib. (the people who say this mattress is too soft must have written their review under the wrong product-this is by no means soft). My Graco pack n play is on the smaller side so I was afraid it wouldn’t fit (measured slightly bigger than the mattress that came with the pack n play). It is very snug but fits well. I won’t have to worry about baby rolling into any cracks. Wish I would have purchased this 8 months ago when my baby was born!! Only downside is it isn’t compact so bulkier for travel but it’s so light that you can easily throw it in the trunk of the car.
Much better support for baby to sleep on
I bought a Pack n Play to use in the living room, as my mother comes over to help me watch my newborn while I return to work. So my baby spends his nap time on the Pack n Play during the day. But I found that the thin foldable mattress that came with the playard was too thin, since the bassinet was basically just supported by a couple metal bars. The price of this mattress seemed like a splurge, since it costs almost half the price of the mid-priced playard I bought. However, it does the job, especially for my baby who sleeps on it everyday. The mattress fits perfectly on the playard bassinet, and baby is comfortable without feeling the metal bar support below. The only thing to be aware of is that since the mattress is 3 inches thick, the playard mattress sheets sold in the store would not fit. Luckily my mother is great at sewing so she made some sheets for this mattress with cotton bedsheets.
My son sleeps in his pack and play every night, and this little mattress has held up to all 35 pounds of him. No pitting or denting in any spots where he frequently sleeps and sheets fit well over the mattress. My only regret is no buying this sooner.
Fits pack n play
Fits my pack n play. Great way to add cushion to my pack n play. The mattress is firm which is what you should have for babies. To add a bit of softness, I also use this with a mattress pad – American Baby. Great combination.
Good quality matress for the Graco Pack N Play
I still use a big quilt on top of this mattress to make it even more cushion-y for my baby daughter. The Pack N Play matress that comes with the unit is NOT comfy for sleeping. With this additional mattres, the added quilt, my daughter sleeps wonderfully when we use her Pack N Play while traveling.
Definitely helps with longer naps/overnights
We purchased this mattress when we took our one year old son to his grandparent’s house for 9 days to help him sleep better. My initial thoughts were that it seems a bit flimsy coming out of the box, and not as thick as I was hoping for. It also does crinkle just a little when the baby moves on it. But, we know he doesn’t sleep well on the pack ‘n play’s floor so we crossed our fingers and prayed. Sure enough, once we got it all set up, he slept better than he would have otherwise. I won’t say he slept like a charm, but we are pretty sure that’s because he was teething, had a cold, and is getting too long to sleep comfortably in the pnp… what I will say is that he slept much better than he would have otherwise. If your child still fits well in the pnp, but has problems with longer naps/overnights, I would DEFINITELY consider this as an option to improve that situation.
Graco Pack N Play mattress
This Graco Pack N Play mattress fit the Graco Pack N Play pen perfectly. I is a HUGE improvement over the plywood bottom this playpen comes with. There is no doubt that this was money well spent. If you are wondering if you should get this, just stop wondering and order it. You baby will love you for it. The fit it great, and it is relatively much softer than the original mat. I is very similar to the firmness of a crib mattress. Good luck.
Thank goodness for the foam mattress
My son has never been able to sleep we in his pack ‘n play, and always ends up in bed with us, keeping us awake. I assumed\ that he just found it uncomfortable. Knowing that we were going to need to use a travel crib for a week at my in-laws, I went on a mission to find a way to make the pack’n play more comfortable. I finally found the Dream on Me Foam mattress, and after reading every review, I had it sent to my in-laws. It was ready to use out of the box. There were no odd smells as I read in a few reviews. Also, the mattress is completely waterproof so there is no need for a separate mattress cover. It did the trick and my son slept soundly every night (and so did we). We couldn’t be more pleased!!
Fits the need
Fits perfectly in our Graco Pack n Play. We use it when traveling, only way to get the little man to sleep away from home. We didn’t have the strong odor that others had. Maybe a little expensive, but if it helps him sleep, I’ll pay it!
The other reviews were right. This mattress is too firm. I looked at all the reviews and the cost of each mattress and I still thought it would be a good deal, since baby mattresses are supposed to be firm, anyway. But it was even harder than I anticipated, and my baby doesn’t fall asleep on this mattress on her own. We have to rock her to sleep and then set her down on the mattress. But I don’t think she’s comfortable, frankly. I guess it’s alright since she won’t be sleeping permanently on this pack-n-play mattress, but I would think for the price you could get something more comfortable!
Good for vacation, better than the original “board”
Fits Graco Plack and Play perfectly. Great for taking this along with the pack and play for a vacation. This existing "board" that comes with the Pack and Play is a bit hard so this mattress is a great alternative! We found that you can actually fold this in half to pack into a suitcase too if you’re planning to travel internationally (they don’t sell this in many places). Of course, you’d want to fold it and pack in your luggage until the very last minute and make sure to take it out asap when you arrive so that it won’t be "bent" for too long. All in all, I’d suggest getting this if you like going on vacation with the Pack and Play.
Our babies nap much better in their Pack N Plays than they did with just the standard Pack N Play insert. I still haven’t found sheets that fit this perfectly though. Another reviewer had mentioned using portable crib sheets, but I find these to be too small. We have been using regular fitted crib sheets, and making sure they are tucked completely underneath the mattress.
My son will not sleep in his pack n’ play without this mattress
This mattress is great for many reasons. It fits wells in the Graco Pack ‘n Play and you don’t have to worry about your child getting any limbs stuck. It has also been a great relief to me because my son is learning to cruise and when he falls down in the Pack ‘n Play I don’t have to worry about him hitting his head. Well worth the investment.
Perfect fit, very firm.
Fits Graco pack’n play perfectly. We are using it in the bassinet portion right now and it fits snug with no gaps. I am also using quilted pack’n play sheets that are supposed to go over the thin, crappy mattress that comes with the pack’n play. The sheets fit very tightly, but they do fit if you take the mattress out to put them on. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the mattress is VERY firm. I know babies aren’t supposed to sleep on plush surfaces, but the firmness of this mattress seems like overkill. My daughter doesn’t seem to mind it and does sleep as ok as can be expected from a 3 month old. It’s also much better than the "mattress" that came with the pack’n play.
