He gets bored with them

As soon as my 18 month old hits the floor he is either at the potty or the kitchen cabinets. They work great i have played around on where to put them on the cabinets i have found that on the bottom or if you put two on one cabinet and separate them far enough apart that you can push both down at the same time but the baby cant works well also.

not so good

My 11 month old can pull the drawer so fast that she pops the safety latch out of its holder and then the drawer is open. Really? She’s 11 months old- her arms are like little weak sausages.

Too much work for nothing good

Hard to install and not that great since baby can still open the drawer a little and catch their fingers while trying to shut any drawer back! Not so good, I would not recommend it. The magnetic ones are awesome, though! Buy those instead!

THEY WORK GREAT

These latches are easy to install and work great so far. I highly recommend them. Very durable and reliable. Good luck.

Great price! Works well!

These are the same locks my mom used 26 years ago with me (or very similar). Hers held up very well. I looked at the fancier types but couldn’t justify spending that kind of money for an apartment. My husband installed two packs of these. He’s pretty handy but it did take him a fair amount of time. I would say about an hour for both packs with a drill. Once installed the doors open about an inch so little hands could still open and get pinched… But if you are just getting them to keep kids out reach for what’s in cabinet they are good

Works as promised.

Works as described. Wish I didn’t have to screw it into the cabinet but such is life. No complaints so far and we’ve been using them for a couple weeks.

Work great

They are great at keeping little hands out of drawers and cabinets, I like that once installed you can’t see them. Other kinds that go through handles just look bad all over your nice kitchen

Does the job… but not well.

These work. They install fairly easily (two screws on the catch, two screws on the plate), and they stop the drawer (we only have them installed on drawers) opening past two, maybe three, inches. But that’s actually an awful lot, and it’s more than enough room for our Little One to get into the drawer and get into mischief. She’s also already started to figure out the catch at age 1.They don’t seem particularly sturdy — we’ve already broken one and they’ve only been installed a month.

Cannot use on Frameless Ikea Cabinets

I purchased these elsewhere (not on Amazon) but I must write and forewarn all customers who may have Ikea “frameless” kitchen cabinets. You cannot install these since there is no frame for the latch to secure on. The drawers are the top of the cabinet, not a frame. These type of Ikea cabinets that are now popular in many kitchens so I felt I should mention this problem.

works as expected

I got a free 2pack directly from dream baby. Like other said kinda pain to install but after the first, its cake. They work as expected on my cabinet doors. Idk how these would work on drawers…but never needed to childproof my drawers.

Effective yet not

I thought this would be the easiest option. They’re a pain to install, bad instructions and no template to put them on correctly. They work for the general purpose, my daughter can not open the drawers I put them on. But be aware, they may work to keep a child out, but if there is something in the cabinet/drawer that fits through the opening the latch creates it really defeats the whole purpose. My daughter has opened the drawers as far as possible and pulled out whatever she could get her hands on. Be careful when purchasing, I even broke one upon installation.

Works Well!

These were a little bit of a pain installing. It takes a little skill to install them perfectly, but anyone can do it with a little bit of planning before you start drilling. Even though these are plastic, they seem to be quite durable. They will get the job done.

Broke

Some broke and some stayed in place so I am not sure really how to rate this. The ones that are still in place work great and keep my kiddo from reaching his hand where it doesn’t need to be but unfortunately if he pulls too hard it will come off. I think that is to be expected though as these are made of plastic not steel. So all in all I think the product is ok. I would use again but just not for any drawers with dangers in them. I will just move those products to an unreachable place.

I don’t get this product

I think I installed it right but I am not sure. If I did install it right then I change my stars to 1. But I gave it 3 stars because I may have installed it wrong. After I installed it the door seems to open to far still before it catches on the hook. I wish the hooks were not so long, But it was easy to install

You could find better

They don’t have self tapping screws so it is very hard to install. It’s much easier just to teach my child to stay out of those cabinets.

Not too excited by these

I bought these and while I guess they are what they are advertised to be, they seem to get "in the way" when closing the drawer and therefore get bent and then the drawer won’t close at all. Not exactly what I needed for my kitchen drawers.

good price

east to install, and easy to use. they open just enough and are tough enough when I pull the door open forgetting it has a safety latch.

Good for Some Applications

I live in an apartment with the standard, cheap press-board cabinets. I do not recommend this product for this type of cabinetry. It would probably be more stable if one would first pre-drill the screw holes with a bit that is slightly smaller than the diameter of the mounting screws then dip the screw into glue before installation. You have to get used to using the latch and avoid opening the door or drawer too quickly or you will rip either the latch or catch right off.It will not stop little fingers from getting smashed because the door or drawer opens a few inches and if the child has their fingers on the inside when they close it back they might hurt themselves. In the right application (affixed to real wood) these latches will prevent your toddler from getting access to dangerous chemicals that are stored under sinks or other areas in your home. I am currently using a better solution by installing a walk through gate which keeps my very inquisitive grand daughter completely away from anything that could be dangerous and still allows adult access to every corner of my apartment.

doing a re-run on baby proofing with grands and these are imperitive!

I looked at several kinds of these and while someone said they looked sharp enough to put out a child’s eye, they fit into the cabinet really well, are definitely safer than the ones we had and are indispensable for houses with children. We love them and recommend them.

Not a good latch for baby proofing

These latches are very hard to install. They are also not very strong and do a pretty poor job of securing the drawers we attached them to. We are no longer using these saftey latches, I’m searching for a better system…

Ok latches

These latches have worked ok for us over the last 6 months however a few of them have broken. I don’t think that these are any better of worse than other coverable brands that we have tried.

Great product, easy to install…only thing it’s when you slide the drawers back in, you still have to push it down. It can’t be slide in easy…keep my daughter out of the drawer for sure
