Maybe not for infant seats?
I don’t know if its because I have a base or if it’s because I have it on my Surburban’s "captain’s seat" but it doesn’t seem to be big enough. The little pockets on the front can not hold anything because they are tiny and they do not hang right. I believe its not hanging right because its too small for my seat. I’m thinking it would work better on a bench seat. It does serve its purpose though of protecting my seat.
It is wide enough to cover the seat for the car seat but not deep enough for the pockets to be used in the front on my Volkswagen or on my daughter’s Escape. Not a big deal but I am not sure what car this would work on as far as depth goes.
Item Not The Same As Pictured Or Described
The item that was pictured and described when I placed my order for this car seat proctector last week is NOT correct! It describes the exact same protector that I purchased several years ago which is why I wanted to purchase another one seeing as I’m expecting in the next couple months. The protector I ordered (as described) is BLACK with two GREY stripes down the middle and the one I received is BLACK with LIME GREEN stripes. Yuck!!! Very dissappointed!
Nice seat protector
It seems like the material that makes up this seat protector is very durable and it comes with additional pockets in the front. The pockets don’t really extend out too much on my 4-door Tacoma truck. It would be nice if the pockets would of been a bit deeper, but its a good product. I mean it does its simple job that it was designed for.
I have one of these for all three of our carseats. They keep all the crumbs and leaky sippy cups off of the fabric/leather in our vehicles.
This seat protector works fine, but is a tad too short for the seats in our van. I would measure your seats before purchasing if you want to use the little pockets.
Simple and useful
This works great in our SUV and has stood up to multiple put in/take outs of the car seat base the past 7 months. It practically disappears beneath the car seat and is not bulky.
These are great and durable but the part that goes up against the back of the seat could be longer.
Works well with Graco Travel System
The Eddie Bauer protective pad seems to work just fine with Graco Travel Systems. The seatbelts latch and the base is snug when attached properly. Good quality materials and construction. We haven’t tried this yet, but if there is worry about slippage then put a layer of a gripper sheet (sold with drawer protector / liners) such asGrip It Shelf and Drawer Liner Blackunder the Eddie Bauer pad to help it “grip” the seat. We use a similar product under floor mats in the house and in the vehicles – no more slipping mats…
Just what I needed
Item is as described. Protects my seat from issues with car seats for an extended period of time. It won’t cover the top of the seat much, but I wasn’t needing that. For the price, this was perfect.
Second set and love them!
Just bought these two for our next baby, one for each car. We have used these from the beginning to protect the seats from getting damaged from the car seats and it has always worked great!
this is a must…we have the eddie bauer system with car seat and stroller, and our suv has leather seats so great for the protection and as well as it has the pockets in the front to store stuff, but its a little short.
Great leather seat saver. Don’t really use the front pouches, but it saves my seats from the car seat! Both the booster and bucket seat
Works Great for Protecting Your Car Seat
I didn’t give this item five stars because I would have liked it to be a bit longer. The pockets ride up a little high and make it hard to put things into them. It has protected my car seat though. I ended up buying a protector with pockets for the backside of the front seats and they protect my front seats from dirty shoes and the pockets are easier to access.
We returned because we had the seats installed by the CHP. The do not recommend any liners between the seat base and seat.
I have 2. Spills wipe right off and looks nice on my charcoal leather seats. Worth it to protect the leather, even more so if you have cloth seats.
We have two of these one in each car the quality is great and it really does keep the car seat from damaging your leather seats (Lexus ES350 and Escalade). We don’t take the base out ever and you cannot notice any difference between the back seats.
