helps my baby sleep peacefully in noisy environments
I am a private music instructor and teach a lot of loud instruments, like the saxophone and trumpet. I bring my baby to lessons with me, and he sits right next to me with these on and sleeps peacefully while my students honk away. I gave it 4 stars because even though they can really block out loud sounds enough to let my baby sleep, the headband design tends to move around a lot on his head, and sometimes even fall down and cover his eyes. However, I still think the headband design is a better alternative to the other kinds of noise cancelling baby headphones – those ones look like they would squish your baby’s head! I would definitely recommend this product!
My little big guy is 2 months. These cut out the sound at concerts we have taken him to, but the strap gets in his eyes and frustrates him. He has to be carried or in a upright carrier like a moby for them to work best. If he is asleep in his stroller it is hard to keep them on properly. But I feel they do protect his hearing, so they are worth every penny.
Pleased Baby/Pleased Mom
I was not only impressed with how quickly I received these earmuffs but how wonderfully they worked. My son is nearly five months old and I really wanted to attend the local fireworks display but I was concerned about the noise level from not only the fireworks but the large crowd as well. These earmuffs worked perfectly, my son slept through a rather loud music set before the fireworks with a huge crowd of people talking loudly. When the fireworks began he wasn’t startled at all with these on, we were all able to take in the fireworks. Although, I wasn’t able to watch very much of the display because his expressions were so cute. The earmuffs stayed on reasonably well too! My son was a bit wiggly when he was hungry and we only had to re-adjust them a couple of times and even then they didn’t fall down all the way. The adjustable band didn’t leave a deep mark on the baby’s head. Overall I was very impressed with this product’s sound reduction, how well it fit, and how comfortable it seemed to be. I have and will continue to recommend it.
Hard to put together and somehow also hard to KEEP together!
I’ll start by saying these are adorable, which is why they got two stars instead of one. But they are far too painful to use. The little ear muffs slip over the headband, which has velcro in the back. Somehow it’s really hard to get the ear muffs over the headband but the minute my daughter pulls on the headband they fall off of it! So the muffs are hard to get on the headband and yet easy to fall off, I guess. The headband is pretty small – my daughter has a big head but these were even really tight to get to velcro even when she was 6 months old. (I realize it should be tight to have proper hearing protection – I’m just mentioning that in case someone has a big-headed baby.) And the headband slips down over her eyes/nose often. She has worn them around the house to get used to them and she seemed to think they were OK. But with the least bit of unhappiness she pulls them off and the ear muffs go flying from the headband. We tried to use these for fireworks and it was a disaster. I realize that she can pull off pretty much any type of ear protection and I’m OK with that – I’m not OK with it taking a few minutes to get them back on her as I try to find the pieces and put it all back together, then struggle with getting it on her head without it going over her eyes (which results in immediate pushing and shoving on them). I’ll try regular over-the-head earmuffs next.
Soft and comfortable for baby, perfect sizing!
These earmuffs are wonderful. That are soft and comfortable as well as cute! They are easy to use and so far my baby girl hasn’t tried to pull them off. They have a snug fit without being tight on her head. They block sound very well (tried them myself) and they fit little ears very well. I have no complaints and would buy them again for our next baby!
Worked great for our 5 mo old
They stayed on well for my 5 month old baby (he’s small for his age). He seemed to enjoy the sporting event we were at and wasn’t startled by loud noises. The best part was how much his parents enjoyed it not worrying about damaging our baby’s hearing. He even fell asleep at one point! My only complaint is that we had them on the loosest setting and they were snug… Can’t see them lasting to one year.
Hope the company makes the adjustments
Actually, I’m a little disappointed with the product. While it is great in theory, there are a lot of flaws with the current design. First of all, the product is supposed to fit 0 to 18 months – there is no way this is possible. My daughter has an average size head at 3 months old and the band fits, but I can tell it wont for too much longer. Not only that, there is nothing to secure the band over the top of the head. Therefore, all it does is slip down over her eyes and make her scream. It would be better if the band went over the top of the head, like traditional head phones, and there were different sizes to change out as your child grew. or if the tension was adjustable to accommodate head growth. We’re using this for a trip in a small double engine aircraft, something we’ll probably be doing frequently, so I was looking for something to protect her hearing from the noise of the engine. Sad to say its too late to return this, as I really have no other option to protect her right now. I may try making some changes to it myself. If not, I’ll just hold the ear muffs over her hears myself so at least there is some protection.
Loved these for my twin 4 mo old boys at the races but they did keep slipping down into their eyes. I doubt there’s any way to avoid that with my wiggle worms though. They had no problems though and they both hate loud noises.
Cute, but don’t stay on
The ear muffs only work if the baby’s head does not rest on anything. While holding or nursing my three-month old son, the ear muffs would move around and scrunch up his ears. Perhaps they would work better on a six month plus child? But they did look very cute. Would not buy again.
didn’t receive all parts
The head band did not come with it..I tried to use a "regular" head band , and they kept slipping off. I returned them, cuz I needed them for a special event that was occurring that weekend
Baby did not like!
The headband that I thought might be a great solution proved not so much! My baby wears headbands and hats all the time and she was not a fan! I also bought the more traditional type and she liked them!
I bought these earmuffs for my 3 month old to wear to her older sister’s LOUD volleyball games. She is not bothered a bit by wearing them, AT ALL. And while at the semi-final games, she didn’t even flinch during the cheering or the loud buzzer. I am very protective of my little ones’ hearing, and I feel comfortable allowing my baby to be around loud sounds with these earmuffs. Plus, they’re adorable!
Great for Infants
I bought for my 3 month old. I’m impressed how well they stay on. I recommend this product to anyone looking for hearing protection.
Work great, really useful!
My husband is a basketball coach and my infant daughter didn’t like the loud noises of the game. These earmuffs worked perfectly to block out noise and allowed her to be at the games without being upset. They look like they fit comfortably and she never attempted to pull them off. I have a friend who has used this same brand of earmuffs for her son and she’s also really liked them. Would highly recommend.
