Great Waterproof Bibs!
Wish I had found these sooner! My 6 month old is a big drooler and we have lots of spit-up. He sometimes soaks through 6+ regular bibs a day. With these bibs I’m often down to no more than 2 bibs a day, and I only change the bib b/c it smells like spit-up, it never leaks through to the back side. It has a waterproof lining INSIDE between the front and back cloth linings, so there is no vinyl/plastic exposed. I’ve also had trouble with some bibs having neck holes that are too large – these are perfect. When I purchased them my son was 5 months old and they were a great fit. Probably would’ve fit fine even younger as well. The washing instructions say not to put them in the dryer, but I do and so far so good (I’ve had them for several weeks). Great product!
Not all bibs are created…
Until you have had more than 1 child you don’t tend to notice that bibs need to have more function than fashion. Strangely I never noticed this much until I ran across one of these bibs from my daycare. My daughter came home with one of these and I immediately noticed how great they were. They’re absorbent it don’t soak through, they soft but have the liner in the middle, they’re reversible which is a must for me. When I had my third baby I knew I had to find more of these and amazon never disappoints 🙂 I keep a stack of about 10 bibs at the ready but these are my go to…the Velcro is strong and stands up to the constant washings. Let’s face it, if it doesn’t stay on it’s not worth keeping. The one from my daycare is still in my rotation, 2 years later.
Nice colours, good size, but waterproof and absorbent??? Not really. I was disappointed in the actual quality. I guess I should have known it was too good to be true.
love these bibs
Once I bought these they became the only bibs my son wore. They are so durable and it is so nice that they don’t soak right through. Of course they would eventually, but on especially drooly days we just switch them out and his clothes stay dry. I have bought three packs so that we never run out!
I have a PROLIFIC spitter-uper (very active baby who won’t sit still to digest) and he’s now a teething drooler. Green Sprouts waterproof liner bibs are the only ones we can use without needing to swap them out every 15 minutes (he still goes through 3-5 bibs a day). He can literally soak the side facing out and the under side of the bib and his clothing will be totally dry. For drool or little spit-ups I can wipe the surface of the bib with a cloth and let him keep playing then wait to swap for a fresh bib after bigger messes or clothing changes.I also found I prefer these to the Green Sprouts 0-3 month bibs that have the squishy, absorbent collars. My son spit up enough that the collars just soaked up the milk and held it against his neck. These allow a bit more airflow so he’s been less prone to milk rashes.
inexpensive and good boy colors. though i would prefer to have the velcro be made out of the less prickly type that I have seen on other bibs. I also would prefer a side closure to make it easier to get on my squirmy little guy. no waterproof layer inside, but they are ok for the money.
Great bibs before and after solids!
Started using these when my son was 2 months old and a prolific spitter. The bibs are soft, have easy velcro closure, do not let the liquid through. They also fit really nicely around the neck of my little munchkin and did not allow any leaks there.Wash easily.Darker colors do bleed a bit, so use cooler water.Velcro closures are VERY strong, but be careful not to leave any part of use exposed – it will scratch and irritate baby skin! Wish the Velcro was on the side and not the back to avoid this.
Drool + These Bibs = Rash
My son was a drooler (still is). We tried these bibs, hoping they would withstand the non-stop drool. Were they waterproof? For the first 10 minutes. If we left them on any longer our son would develop a rash under his chin and around his neck if his clothes didn’t cover that area.We used a lot of Eucerin on him while he wore these. We washed them a few times hoping that was all we needed to do. No luck. The fabric is stiff and even the velcro in the back caused a rash on his neck. You are better off with using nothing than using these bibs.
Cheap and inexpensive
These bibs are definitely made very cheap. Don’t expect to last too long. It started fraying after the first wash. They are not waterproof as they claim.
Love these bibs!
These bibs are super soft and very absorbent, and they look super cute! They also don’t crumple and wrinkle in the wash like a lot of other bibs I bought do. Love them!
THESE ARE THE BEST BIBS EVER!!! KEEPS BABY’S NECK AND CLOTHING DRY, AND THE TERRY BACK KEEPS BABY FROM SWEATING AND BIB STICKING TO SKIN!!, WHEN ONE SIDE GETS DIRTY THEN IF DRY, IT CAN BE REVERSED TO THE OTHER, CLEAN SIDE. I WOULD GIVE IT 5 STARS IF IT CAME IN BIGGER NECK SIZE OR THE VELCRO WAS MADE WHERE THE NECK SIZE CAN BE ADJUSTABLE, AND IF THE PRICE WAS A BIT LESS, BUT HEY, THEY ARE GREAT BIBS SO I DONT MIND PAYING MORE. GREAT VELCRO TOO, HOLDS VERY STRONG WASH AFTER WASH… JUST MAKE SURE TO CLOSE IT BEFORE WASHING AND DRYING OR IT WILL CATCH AND HOLD ON TO JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING, ITS THAT STRONG. LUV IT!
For prodigious droolers
My son is a prodigious drooling now as his teeth come in and these bibs work a charm. They are wide enough to catch it all and they have a waterproof layer that keeps it from wetting his clothes. The colors are cute too. Far, FAR superior to terry bibs.
Great for feeding or teething
I bought these for feeding but have ended up using them as teething bibs as well. They are pretty big so they cover up the baby pretty well at six months and still to this day at 10 months. I haven’t noticed any wetness left behind and baby’s clothes are always dry after use so I’m pretty pleased. I actually bought 2 sets because I like them so much. I would use food catcher bibs though once baby starts self feeding ;o)
not what i expected
They are not a bad quality but they are also not waterproof. The size is nice, its just that drull will still get on ur baby clothes and get them wet.
Really nice bibs
These bibs are super absorbent and I like the colors. They fit my son realy good and does exactly what it is supposed to do.
How could yu say soemthing bad about a bib? I love these great price and they’re big but not too big. I use them on my 5, 6 month old
Great product, washes really wellsuper wide for the mouth full of food head turning babieseasy to get on
The advertisement is misleading. They are not “waterproof.” They are useful as light cloth bibs to wipe drool for a 3 months old baby.
Cover well, hold up well, and wash well.
Was cautious after reading other reviews, but have no complaints about this product. They are waterproof and protect against spit-up and drool. The bibs are also a good size and cover quite a bit of my infant’s neck and chest. And lastly, I have not yet seen any scratching from the tabs of the bib. They also wash well. I would recommend these bibs and I would buy more again!
Every baby needs some
These are awesome. They have a waterproof layer in the middle that keeps babies clothes dry. I had 2 droolers and these were essential! Seriously
I had been looking for waterproof bibs for a while. My son is teething, so he drools a lot. His shirt used to be drenched in like 30 minutes after I would change it. No more. These things are perfect. My son is 10 months old and these things are the correct size for him. He is not exactly as small kid either.
