- 100% Cotton
- 3-way adjustable swaddle that adjusts to your baby’s sleep style. Swaddle arms in, hands-to-face, one or both arms out to ensure baby’s best sleep and an easy transition to the SleepSack wearable blanket when it is time to stop swaddling.
- Used by hospitals nationwide as their swaddle of choice for safe sleep education. “Back is Best” embroidery reminds caregivers to place baby on his or her back.
- Strong, adjustable fasteners ensure a perfect fit and resist breakouts for more secure swaddling. Unzips from the bottom allowing baby to stay swaddled for easy diaper changes.
- Generous sack design allows room for kicking, but cannot be kicked off so baby stays warm all night. Recognized as “Hip Healthy” by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute.
- Sleeveless design reduces the risk of overheating. Use over regular sleepwear to take the place of loose blankets. Discontinue swaddling when the baby shows signs of rolling over or breaking out of the swaddle wrap.
Does not work – dangerous for wiggling babies
After seeing a short video in the hospital on the newborn channel after delivery which highlighted this product, we bought two. After receiving them, my wife swaddled up our little baby and then watched to see what he would do. In less than a minute, he had the arm flaps pulled up over his face and he was gagging. We immediately returned both and replaced them with simple muslin sheets that are much more effective for swaddling (not to mention less expensive) and if he gets one over his face they are breathable so there is no issue.May this be a warning to other parents, this product seems like a good idea but it is potentially dangerous for active babies that like to move their arms a lot and is not nearly as good as simple breathable swaddling blankets. Parents be warned!
In general, pretty great
These sleep sacks are great! They take all of the guesswork (and escapism!) out of the swaddle. The foot first zipper is genius – allowing for diaper changes without removing the swaddle. Our four month old is starting to roll over and we’re trying to wean him out of the swaddle. Another great feature of the HALO, you can choose to use it as a sleep sack keeping one or both arms out. We’ve had two for the past two months and my only problem is that after just a few washes the seams around the neck are fraying. We are careful to velcro the sides down and zip it up in the washer/dryer, but it looks a bit raggedy shortly after purchase.
My child easily unraveled
Maybe mine was defective but my child unraveled it due to the loose velcro. Seems like a dangerous suffocation hazard. I returned it after one use.
Love it! Our daughter started stepping fine unswaddled at around 6 weeks which is when we. Stopped using her newborn size halo sleepsac. She started moving around more in her sleep not too long after and her moving woke her up so we were relieved to see her sleepsac available in this size. Kept her warm but not too warm and sound asleep.
Can’t sleep without it
Our little guy can’t sleep without a swaddle, and he can breakout of a normal receiving blanket swaddle. He’s been sleeping in a SleepSack since he was a newborn, and we wouldn’t get a good night’s rest without it. They do start to stretch after a while (we have to pull it tight, tight, tight to keep him from getting his arms up and out) but these are still our favorite sleep swaddles.
Halo sleepsack is a must have
I have two of these. Luckily I found them at TJMaxx for 10 bucks a pop. That being said I would pay much more for them. My little one, like most babies, still gets scared of the big world outside the womb. Once his arms flail you know crying in fear is not far behind. This stops that from happening. I put him in one every night. I have never had an issue of him putting it over his face. He will pull his arms out of the sack but hasn’t gotten scared when this happens. I highly recommend this product. Oh, it also makes breastfeeding easier because you can cover his arms so he is not unknowingly pushing away from you.
Not for a young infant (13-15lbs). The swaddle option didn’t work, maybe when he gets bigger?
was so pleased with this it looks so great I just love it and I love the quality, great for easy diaper change zipsfromthe bottom
The Perfect Swaddler
Halo sleep sacks are the best for swaddling infants. I have tried several other brands, but my sons have always been able to break free from them. Yes, the velcro is loud, but if the velcro wasn’t strong enough the baby would break out in seconds and then it would be pointless. I really like the material of this particular sleep sack, it’s nice and light (but not too light) and perfect for semi-chilly spring and fall nights. Also the pattern is really appealing. Five stars for this one.
kept my son swaddled!!
Love it, used it to keep my son swaddled during the warmer months. He slept longer in this and there was never an issues with him getting out of the swaddle. Thats the problem I always had when I swaddled him with blankets by morning the blankets with be bunched up around his chest which can be dangerous. This is perfect.
Perfect weight, worked really well for baby who hates swaddling
Our little one hates to be swaddled, and these sleep sacks have proven to be lifesavers for us! The arms were just perfect for swaddling him securely when he needed it, and I love that they just wrap around his middle when he no longer needed swaddling. I think he really liked the extra security they provided without the restraint of his arms like usual swaddles. The weight is just perfect as well – not too hot to use in summer, but warm enough to work when the air conditioner is on. We have several of the Halo SleepSacks, and this is one of our favorites!
