Not for squirmy babies

We’ve used another sleep sack that is thicker and less stretchy, and our twins had no problem with it. The issue with this is that if your kids like to kick, they will end up catching their feet in the fabric, making the thing pull at their shoulders and trap their feet above them. For us, this leads to very unhappy babies, very quickly. These sleepstacks were a mistake for our babies.

NOT organic!

The description of this item says 100% organic, but it’s really just 100% cotton. It is not organic cotton; the packaging makes no such claims. I was disappointed, because I picked this one specifically because it was supposedly organic cotton. Functionally I’m sure it’s fine; I have other Halo sleep sacks, and I like them.

Cute and functional!

This is a really nice cotton sleep sack. It is a great alternative to the fleece ones and is both a great size, and nice color/pattern. I really like to use this especially when using a fleece jammie or when the temp is a little on the warm side and fleece would be too warm. I also really like the length of this item, which will provide more months of use than some of the other ones that I have seen in the same reported size……

soft and strong

This wearable blanket is soft and strong. I only wish they also made these with long sleeves and with organic egyptian cotton.

soft, but huge arm and head holes

The fabric was soft and gentle, but the arm holes and head holes were huge! it just didn’t fit him right, and ended up gaping awkwardly. He was within the size suggestions, but the holes just seemed off.

I love sleepsacks

We love halo sleepsacks! I never have to worry about a blanket coming undone and covering up my daughter’s face. We used a fleece one for cold nights but love the cotton ones like this for nap times or for warmer nights. We love how it unzips from the bottom for easy diaper changes. The owl print is cute. We bought this one for our little girl, but went neutral so that it can be for a boy, too.

Wonderful sleepsack

My boy is 18 pounds and 24 inches. He fits into a medium size just fine with leg room to kick around. I love everything about this product:
• Nice, soft cotton that helps baby stays comfortably cool.
• It has a reversed zipper which starts at the neck and go down to the feet, so it is very easy to put on and take off.
• I absolutely love the lime color and the cute and clean design.
• Does not shrink after repeated washing and drying (in low heat).
• Best of all, my boy loves sleeping in it. Whenever I put it on him, he knows it’s bed time. This is a solid five star product.

HALO SleepSack

This sleep sack is great. It’s long and wide so her legs aren’t cramped and the zipper and neck line are far enough away from her neck so she’s not restricted.

LOVE these!

These sleep sacks are absolutely wonderful! I’ve been putting my 2 1/2 month old daughter in them since we brought her home from the hospital. We just moved up to the medium ones (and they are very roomy!) because she is almost 13lbs already and close to 24 inches! The sizing chart suggests she should be in small still – and we do have small ones – but she likes a lot of room to kick her feet, so we have already sized up. I love that the zipper starts at the bottom because it makes diaper changes that much easier. Design is cute (we have the owl one and this one) and the cotton is perfect for summer. These are a must for safe sleeping!

Love HALO sleep sacks

Excellent sleep sack. My son wore HALO brand sleep sacks exclusively, from Small to XL, and both cotton and fleece. I love that there are different fabric options for different times of the year. This lighter, more breathable cotton was great for spring and summer, and nights in the fall when we had the heat running high.I love that the zipper starts at the top and zips down. That makes middle of the night diaper changes a cinch. I could zip up halfway, remove his bottom half to change the diaper, and then zip him right back into it. Some nights he would barely notice the diaper change because he stayed nice and warm in his sleep sack.I was almost sad when he outgrew the sleep sacks around ~1 year and moved on to a blanket. These things are great quality. If memory serves me though, the cotton ones do shrink significantly more than the fleece, so take notice and wash carefully.

Cute and useful

With all the SIDS cases and suffocations, it is a good thing to have. But most of all, for a little baby girl it is important to look cute. Hehe. It is made very well too. It has resisted many washes.

Best blanket we ever bought!

Our daughter kicks like crazy when we lay her in the crib or sometimes in her sleep. We have to constantly cover her up because the blanket ends up around her waist and not on her legs. We put her in the sleepsack, wrap a blanket around her legs and then zip it up. She doesn’t get mad to be put into it. It’s sleeveless so she needs to wear long sleeved PJs. I plan on recommending this to other parents, I only wish i had found this sooner!

Soft, light blanket

It is a wonderful light blanket which is just right for the summer nights. My daughter likes it and seems to be sleeping pretty comfortably in it.I bought it to transit her from SwaddleMe. At first she slept with just one hand out and then I took her both hands out to see how it goes. She does wake herself up a lot, but gradually learning to sleep with her hands free. She weights 17 lbs which is at the bottom of the medium size weight limit, and her sleep sack is almost too big. I like it that she has penty of room to kick her legs though. The only reason I can’t give it five stars is the zipper. You have to zip it from top to bottom. The manufacturer claims that you can change your baby at night without taking them out of the blanket. Well, my daughter is 5.5 months and I forgot when I had to change her at night last time. If I had to, I’d need to take the whole thing off anyway to prevent it from getting wet under her bottom. I think it would be a more useful feature for younger babies, but not for those who fit the medium size.So every night when I put her in her sleep sack with the lights dimmed, I have to fight with her arms and legs trying to zip it from the top. Every. Single. Night. Such pain!It also seems that the holes for arms are almost too small. They don’t stretch any, so it looks painful when I have to take her hands out of the sack.Other that that, it is a wonderful, absolutely beautiful product and I can’t wait to get a couple more.

Love these Sleepsacks!

Perfect for our seven month old daughter. It’s lightweight and a perfect substitution for a loose blanket. Plus it keep little legs from getting caught in between the crib slats. Our daughter is long for her age, but this size (Medium) is perfect with lots of room to grow. The owl design is adorable too! Well made and high quality!

Peace of mind while my son is sleeping

Whoever came up with the idea of sleep sacks is a smart person. They are great! I sleep better at night knowing my son can’t kick his blanket off or get tangled up in it. His sleep has really improved since we started using this product.

Cute and functiona

Aside from the safety aspects, its so nice as a mom to not have to worry about your kid kicking off the blankets when they are wearing them! This is a light weight (like a heavy t-shirt) covering so it is warm, but not stuffy. When on vacation in the USVI, we pared a long sleeve onsie with this and it was perfect for our 6 month old. It has plenty of wiggle room, but it is compact for travel. We also have the fleece version for the cold MN winters, which we like, but it doesn’t wear as nicely as the cloth.

Halo Sleep Sack

I have always loved Halo products. Purchased this sleepsack with confidence and used it for one month. Zipper split and rendered it useless after a month. Called their customer service and they replaced it immediately. Because of my positive experience with their company and previous history with their products (no defective items whatsoever), I will continue to use their products and recommend them. These sleepsacks are so helpful for diapers changes during the night. I dress her in a long sleeve onesie, socks and a sleepsack and we’re good to go!

Lorrie Deer Park, CA

It’s a keeper

Quality is great. Still looks new and we’ve been using it for months. No problems with the zipper or appliqué showing wear. This is a good option for warmer nights.

Elena Channelview, TX

Quality product

Easy to clean, soft, and a wonderful, safe alternatives to blankets. They keep our daughter warm without overheating her, and the reverse zipper makes it easy to change her diaper without completely removing the sack.

Harriett Ramseur, NC

Love it

Fit our son really well and helped keep his limbs out of the crib slats at night (pediatrician says not to use even breathable bumpers). Helped us all get good sleep. The owl is really cute and overall it’s great. The only drawback was when I washed it I noticed a tiny hole in the seam at the foot, just big enough for his little toe to get out. The rest of it seems pretty sturdy so maybe it just snagged on something but I’ll have to repair it.

Rocio Millbrook, IL

Just what we needed.

The material is soft and seems warm without being bulky, and it will transition us from late winter into spring and summer well. It washes well and is awfully cute!

Halo sleep sack user for two kids over 3 years now.

I can not say enough about these sleep sacks. I found them so helpful in comforting my babies in the newborn stage that I just continued to use them as they got older. Now when I get the sleepsack out and put it on him before bed he just knows that it is a que that it is sleepy time. He starts to rub his eyes and yawn, just knowing that he is about to go to bed. The little owl applique is adorable, and the sack is well made. The green is a little more bright than I would like.

Carole Garden City, MI

Simply wonderful 🙂

My son sleeps beautifully in these sacks and I sleep more soundly knowing he is safe. For sizing reference he is 28 inches 17lbs and just moved into the large size.

Maritza Ashland City, TN

Good Quality, Well made.

These are of really good quality, easy to get arms in and out of the openings.Stops our twins kicking off blankets, as blankets aren’t required.Happy to recommend this product, and have purchased quite a number more of them.

Newborn to 1 year old essential

I’ve used Halo sleep sacks for both my sons from newborn to 1 year old (when they start to stand in crib). I’d advise getting darker colored sacks as formula can stain neck. We also found that when they were able to stand they’d trip and fall in sack when in crib. We switched to small light weight blankets at that point. We found the fleece sacks too warm even during winter. I’d suggest just use cotton and baby will be fine.

Lynn Basehor, KS

Best sleep situation

Love these! We put our baby in them at night over his sleeper and don’t have to worry/mess with swaddling etc. They keep him cozy and don’t come off. Love them!

Rachelle Vestaburg, PA

Trusty sleep sack, durable and strong even after much use

Love their products. Our son’s been in halo sleepsacks since he was 1 month old. Back then he used the swaddlers, then transitioned over at about 4 months to a newborn sleep sack, then to a small. And now we’re onto the medium sizes. Crazy how they grow. This is a really cute print. The owl applique is really cute and adds character to this sleep sack. I love their designs. This sleep sack has served us well. Durable, breathable and best of all, safe. I think my son’s so used to having a sleep sack on, I don’t know what he’ll do when we eventually switch to a blanket! We however, live in CA and get 100+ degree weather here during the summers and I just wish that halo also makes a thinner muslin version of this sleep sack for the really hot weather places. Make a muslin version to compete with aden and anis please!

Callie Oelwein, IA

kinda big but she’ll grow into it

My daughter is growing out of her size small sleepsack from halo so we decided to get the next size up and its huge on her. The size range is kinda a big range though. I kinda wish they made it 6-9 months instead of 6-12. That’s a huge range to have your baby fit into. The product itself is super cute. Love the owl applique. I just look forward to her not swimming it in someday.

Soft, breathable and easy to clean

My daughter sleeps in this nightly and I just bought another for back up. I love that I don’t have to worry about her getting caught in blankets, but I know that she’s nice and comfy. The material is soft, not too warm, and I am able to layer her clothing underneath if it’s cooler out. Perfect for our changing CA climate.
