Loved this sleepsack!
This sleepsack was perfect for my son! It’s soft and keeps him warm in his crib. I highly recommend these to anyone with babies. Although I wish I had bought the medium, he could have easily worn it at 2 months old, where they suggest the small, and it would have fit him longer than the size Small.
Our favorite sleep solution
In what ended up being one of the best decisions we made in terms of product purchases since becoming parents, my wife and I discovered the glory of the HALO SleepSacks when we bought the newborn sized ones with the built in velcro swaddle. The swaddlers sleepsacks took the headache, hassle, and difficulty out of swaddling. We were sold and have been buying SleepSack products in larger and larger sizes as our son grows up.He has slept in a HALO SleepSack product every single cool or cold night since the day he was born. They are extremely high quality, they hold up perfectly wash after wash. He looks comfortable and sleeps soundly while wearing this sleepsack. We have this micro-fleece version for the coldest nights, and the thinner cotton versions for the more mild nights. The design of these SleepSacks is incredible. The SleepSacks zip from the top on down, keeping the zipper at the bottom of the SleepSack where your child cannot easily find it and unzip it, and it also won’t be a bother for children who sleep on their stomachs. And it’s nice knowing that this product is much safer and provides way more peace of mind than putting a blanket in the crib.
Soft and easy to use. It makes me feel much better about my son moving around his crib at night now that he is mobile.
Have them in every size
The Halo SleepSacks are incredible! We received one as a gift and since I have purchased additional ones in every size. At a very early age we started putting these on, and it created a great routine. Once the sleepsack is on now, she knows its not a nap but bedtime and goes right to bed.Pros:1. Zips from top to bottom. This is awesome if you have to do a late night change, you unzip it halfway and you don’t have to get your little one completely undressed. Super convenient.2. The Fleece are really warm, every time I check on her she is never cold.3. Cleans super easy, never have any fraying, loose ends or wearing down of the material. We wear one every night and I wash the entire load every week and they hold up really well.4. Keep your baby safe from being tangled up in blankets.5. For summer months HALO makes a cotton sleepsack; which I also recommend.6. Doesn’t restrain your child from moving their legs around, if they like to sleep in a certain position they have the room to move their legs and get comfortable. I like how they give your little one enough space, it widens out so they have some freedom to move and get into a comfortable position.Cons:None, these are the best out there.I can’t say enough good things about these SleepSacks, we love them and have given them as gifts to people. You can never have too many of these.
Lightweight. Works great for warmer nights. Its long enough to grow with baby. Would buy again and do recommend it.
Soft and warm, but doesn’t wash nicely
I know microfleece can pill in the wash, but this one seems to do that a little more than I thought. It’s still a cute sleep sack and does the job–keeps baby warm and safe–but we have this exact model in the size lower and it has lost some softness in the washing machine, and I don’t put fleece in the dryer. Otherwise, we love Halo products and will continue to purchase them.
Nice sleep sack
When we transitioned out of swaddling I was nervous about how to keep my 4 month old baby warm. This is a nice neutral color, cute for boy or girl, and my baby seems very warm and cozy in it. She knows it’s bedtime when we put her in this!
I love this sleep sack for my 8 month old. He moves all around at night and likes to sleep on his stomach, so as a safety precaution I don’t like to let him sleep with any blankets. This sleep sack is perfect and he stays nice and warm, and free to move all over. Its nice and soft, I love how it keeps his arms free to move, we previously used a swaddleme and just left his arms free but this keeps him warm all the way up to the neck. Definitely recommended.
My kid is long and skinny but the sizing recommendation was still right on (ignore the ages, just look at the height/weight). The fabric is really cozy and warm and helps him sleep all night.
Soft, adorable and well-made
I am in love with Halo sleep sacks. My son sleeps in one every night and during every nap. I would ask him to write the review, but since he can’t talk or write, his mama will have to do it for him. I’m giving this 5/5 stars because this product has functioned amazingly for us and is adorable. The material is really soft (for naptimes I usually remove baby’s pants and socks because that’s how I’d want to sleep in this softie). At night time it seems to have provided just the right amount of warmth during the cooler months (of Missouri) when layered with long pjs.The zipper has held up and I like that it zips downward from neck to toes (so that baby can’t easily reach the zipper pull (which I’m sure he’d love to do now that he is exploring everything). So far we’ve used this product from about five months up till now (11 months) and will continue to use it until we hit warmer nights requiring an air conditioner. Until then, it has served us well! This has been a must-have for our family!!
returning these because they were absolutely gigantic. I could fit my 16 year old in this if I wanted to. the newborn is very small and then the medium it’s probably 10 times the size of a newborn size.
Baby stays warm without the possibility of harmful blankets.
Since we can’t load a crib full of blankets what’s a mother to do? A properly fitted sleep sack is a great solution. It zips closed from the neck first down to the feet, so if you want you can leave a little air hole open at the toes. Though some might not like that because it won’t release at the neck first if there’s any sort of breathing problem.I wouldn’t put a newborn in it though. The SMALL sack is too big for a 9 pound or less baby and they worm around in these things. I don’t like that the neck could pinch the baby’s throat, and the baby isn’t going to be strong enough to get free of that situation yet. I am holding onto this sleep sack until the small fits my baby’s neck and shoulders properly.
I like that even though we’ve used this almost every night there is still plenty of wear left so we can save it for future babies. This design is also perfect because it is gender neutral. I wish they would make one with long sleeves though.
My baby has slept in these every night since she was born. She’s almost 15 months now. Safe way to allow baby to sleep with a "blanket." Keeps her warm, but short sleeves keep from over-heating. Cute designs.
Great warm, fuzzy sleepsack, perfect for winter
Perfect sleepsack for a cold winter. Super cute and fuzzy. The only drawback is that the zipper start sometimes comes apart when you start it – not sure how long the zipper will actually last?
Why didn’t I buy this sooner?!
I absolutely love this product and am kicking myself for not buying a sleep sack sooner. Finally bought one for my 3rd child at 15 months old and just can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner. From the first night wearing it he began sleeping in an extra hour in the mornings. I love that I don’t have to worry about a blanket in the crib or him being too cold. I bought the large when he was about 24 lbs, he is just shy of 26 lbs now and 18 months old (approx. 32") and still fits nicely in this size. I recently purchased 2 more in x-large to grow with him. This is one of my all time favorite baby products! Will use it from the beginning with any future babies I may have.
HALO sleepsack fleece
Great product, like every other products from the brand. Fleece keep little ones warm and the pattern is sooo adorable.
Very Soft and Good Fit
My almost two year old daughter was outgrowing her medium sleep sacks, so I ordered a new one in large. She is on the shorter end and weighs 27 pounds. This sleep sack fits great with room to grow. It is also very soft (maybe that is because it has not been through the washing machine a bunch of times). It is also a cute pattern.
This is the only way I can keep my son warm at night. He has used these since he was a few weeks old when swaddling didn’t work for him. I love the long length.
The ONLY way to make sure little children stay warm at night!
This is such a practical solution to keeping little ones warm at night! Since most babies and little children move so much during sleep, it is really difficult to find a way to keep them warm. Blankets fall off or wrap around them as they move but sleepsacks keep them warm all night long.My grandson has used these since he was born and I’m delighted they come in this size which is large enough for toddlers.(see also a version of the sack shape with mini "leggings" for children who begin standing up and/or walking so they don’t trip)
Soft fleece, keeps little feet warm in the winter. Roomy enough that he can still sleep in all of his crazy positions at night. He is 28" long and 19# and it’s a little big but works perfectly right now and leaves plenty of room for growth.
warm and cute.
Such a cute design and keeps my baby nice and warm at night. She wears long sleeve cotton pajamas underneath, occasionally her hands feel a little cold in the morning but her core is nice and toasty. She moves such a lot at night it is great that the sleepsack can move around with her. She has been wearing the Medium size from 3 months until now (7 months) and there is still room to grow. She does love to chew/drool on the top of the blanket, so you may need a couple of these to always have a clean dry one.
Love halo sleep sacks!
I have bought several halo sleep sacks for my daughter. They have all been great quality and withstand daily wearing and a few times a week washing. The colors hold, and the zippers work flawlessly. My daughter seems comfortable and happy in her wearable blanket. I keep buying more as she outgrows each size!
must have for new moms
I was given a few sleep sacks from a friend for my baby and absolutely love them. They’re warm and safe, highly recommended!
These are the best!
I love the Halo sleepsacks! I use the microfleece ones with a long sleeve onesie as my twins’ bedtime outfit. They stay warm and comfortable and are able to move their legs easily while they sleep.
Good Halo Sack
I liked the first one I got, so I got another. My only thing is that this is a bit on the heavy side, so it’s great for the winter. Now that it’s summer not so much. Other than that, it really is a great product that my fast growing baby can’t fit into anymore anyway.
All I can say is that I wish someone had told us to try this weeks earlier. Our 9-10 month old learned to stand in crib and would stand at midnight (and other times) bawling – for attention, because he was cold, because he had not mastered getting down. To keep him warm all night I got a sleepsack and viola, no more standing, no more cold, no more bawling. (It’s harder to manoeuvre in a sleep sack, so although it was not restrictive, it kept him lying down.) For the first time in a long time, we all slept like babies.
HALO medium sleepsack must be made for much larger babies
Baby out grew the small size of the halo sack and his feet were all the way to the end so I got this to replace his sleep sack only to find out that the opening for the head is so much bigger than the small that the zippered part was all over his face. I dont think this sack is safe and my baby’s head size is in the 90th percentile
Need one for every size
I got this a little big but even though at first it was at least 12" too long, it worked well for my little guy and even better because he could grow into it. He’s been in a sleepsack since the first day he came home and whenever I put it on him, he knows it’s time for bed. It’s great to keep them covered up! I sometimes wonder how little babies stayed warm before these since I know mine won’t ever keep a blanket on!
Good but not as soft as years past
Love the halo sleep sacks. Fleece is much better for winter. My only complaint is I have 2 from about 3 years ago and those were much softer before and after washing then this one. I’ve used same detergent, but it’s not as soft even initially. Feels like a cheaper quality textile being used to manufacture now unfortunately.
