May work for you but didn’t work for us
My wife and I purchased two of these after seeing them advertised on the infant channel in the hospital. Our baby refused to let his hands be contained and quickly pulled the material up over his face and started gagging on it. My wife decided she didn’t trust it and we returned them both immediately. We found instead muslin sheets that are very easy to wrap him up in but they are breathable and if he pulls it over his face it’s not an issue. After returning them we posted a negative review on the other sleepsack and as I was looking over my reviews I saw that the HALO company had left a message for me with some points for consideration such as swaddling the baby without the arms and making sure the correct size was being used. I appreciate that they were concerned enough to respond to our review but we still feel the same about the product. While this is advertised as an easier and safe alternative to regular swaddling blankets, we found it neither easier nor safer than regular ole muslin baby blankets. Considering that the price for one of these is the same as a pack of 3 or 4 of the swaddling blankets, it was an obvious choice in hindsight. Others have had very good experiences with this product but we did not and wouldn’t recommend it to others for these reasons.
so soft and warm for winter
I had several of these that I used when my baby was born in January, they are great for new parents that are having trouble learning to swaddle. This also works great because you can unzip it and keeps arms down and keep baby to check or change a diaper. the plush sack is super snuggly and warm and is comfy for a sleeping baby. I also like cotton ones to wash a little easier and breath better when its not so cold.I have a Houdini baby that could escape from a swaddled blanket as soon as you put him in it, no matter how tight you made it, so these sleep sacks worked great to keep him secure and snug as a bug without his arms coming out.
This is such a fantastic product!
The velboa fabric on this SleepSack makes it incredibly soft and pleasurable for my newborn to sleep in. It is well made and easy to use as well. It is warmer than the cotton version but probably not as warm as the microfiber SleepSack.Another special thing to note is this version of the HALO SleepSack has a * removable swaddle*: you can remove the swaddling panel completely and you still have a regular SleepSack to use. This was handy because my little guy decided he didn’t like his arms restrained while he was sleeping.I definitely recommend this product.
Looks great and keeps him warm
Great coverage for an infant in the winter. This is especially nice when we are jogging around the lake where it is normally colder. Coverage for an infant is at a maximum in this swaddler.
I received an identical blanket at a baby shower and loved the soft, cozy material so I knew this sleep sack would be perfect. It’s roomy enough for my little guy to grow with.
This is a great invention. Better than classic swaddling, which my son got out of anyway. I didn’t want to use regular blankets when I was sleeping and even when we did during the day he kicked them off completely in his sleep. The sleep sack kept him warm safely. The option for arms in or out was also helpful as my son preferred his arms out. The chocolate color is very nice and rich also. I have since bought multiple sizes, colors, and types of this product. I also bought extra to keep at Grandma’s so blankets are never used when we are not around.
This sack is great for new babies, it’s cozy and wraps tight to keep your kid warm & secure and helps them sleep longer. My son gets cold hands since we have a fan going during the night and this sleepsack solves that problem. He is super tall now & almost doesn’t fit in it, and I’m definitely buying the next size up!
