Stylish But Could Be Better

I purchased this hamper in Green Stripe. It is very stylish and matches perfectly with their line of storage boxes. The hamper is made of a canvas type material. It can easily be folded up for storage. The handles are very sturdy. My only complaint is the lid does not match up very well. In order to keep the lid from falling in, I have to slightly pull it as I put it down. It is a minor inconvenience.

Color misleading

Large hamper. Am pleased with the fact that my labrador’s hair doesn’t seem to cling to it. My only issue is that it is a little more gray than it appears.

Looks great until lid falls in

I was happy to find a hamper with a lid which matched my decor. It certainly gets the job done and I love the sturdy handles; it is light enough to carry to my basement washer. However, because it comes folded the hamper does not always retain its shape enough to keep the lid from falling into the hamper, thus defeating the purpose of having a lid. Overall, I’m satisfied but not thrilled.

useless lid

Cute and matches my sons room well but I hate the lid. It falls through the hole if you have it down. I usually just tuck it behind the hamper as it is completly useless.

Perfect solution for a kids room

We purchased 2 of these in preparation for our new baby. We have one for dirty clothes and one (with a liner) for dirty cloth dippers. I have been very happy with them over all with only a couple small down sides. The bins we have that much these are very sturdy, but the hampers at their larger size are not as sturdy. The other small disappointment is the cover drops inside the hamper…sometimes. I see both of those cons as the trade off you get when you spend this much on a hamper and are not a deal breaker for me, I would still buy them over again. They are not a great solution for a long term, heavy use item but for a child’s room where they might be traded in for a different look in a few years they are perfect. We now have 6 larger bins, 4 small bins, the diaper caddy and 2 matching hampers used through out the house; and have been very happy with the whole set overall. We also move every couple years and bins and hamper type items are inconvenient to pack and we have broken numerous different types over the years. I look forward to our next move with these, and being able to collapse them all and put them in a moving.– Perfect solution for a kids room.

just okay

The color is fine but the sides bow in and sometimes the lid falls in. Lids just don’t work well with cloth hampers.

Sturdy but could use some improvement

This hamper is cute and sturdy enough to hold quite a few baby clothes with no problem. My only critique is that the cover bends slightly after a while, and as a result the cover can fall into the hamper if you’re not careful. A tab on the edge of the cover would be enough to prevent this from happening and make it a 5 star product.

Toss away clothes

I love the colors, the designs, the material. It stands up just fine, but it bulges on the sides and the front, so it looks like the top is too small. I wish there was a way to keep the sides from expanding. Overall, I do like it and it doesn’t take up much space in the guest bathroom.

It waorks ok.

The lid does not line up square with the hamper. I use it to store baby blankets and baby laundry. It works ok. I wish the lid fit better.

Great a must have for any nursery

It is so easy to just throw whatever is messy into this hamper. It looks great and I like the fact that the lid hides whats in there until its ready to be washed. The lid also pushes down or folds out to make it easy to get stuff in the hamper. Plus its light weight and easy to carry even when its full

Great Hamper

This is a great hamper. It is sturdy, yet light weight. The color is also a perfect light pink. The handles are a good size and make it very easy to carry to the laundry room.

JJ Cole Hamper

I like this hamper that coordinates with my JJ Cole Diaper Caddy. A possible design suggestion would be that the lid had a slightly bigger top flap than the hole, as it sometimes falls inside.

Ok but overpriced

A bit flimsy for the cost. Although I haven’t had any major problems with it and it matches our decor, I am disappointed in the overall quality. The stitching is offline on the front of the hamper and the lid doesn’t really lay evenly with the top. It is functional, although in retrospect, it’s pretty big for a nursery because i find I do laundry every day with a newborn so not much piles up in it.

Nice looking in room!

Reviews were right about the top sometimes collapsing, but if you know that it is not a prob! handles help to carry it to the laundry room! Nice color and seems like nice quality!

Looks expensive

Amazing value for the price. The hamper is perfect for the babies room and looks expensive. Highly recommended. The brown is a deep chocolate brown.

Most Space-Saving Sturdy Hamper with Lid

PROS- sturdy (no wobbling/tipping when using)- compared to other hampers (rigid and wood-frame with bag types), this one takes up least amount of floor space- stay-put, user-friendly lid you simply lift and let drop with one hand (unlike the kind with wood rods holding up a laundry bag with flimsy lid)- simple, versatile design (works with most room designs)- materials seem *relatively* safe (probably less emissions than hampers with varnish/paint), which is important in baby’s/kid’s room and for overall indoor pollution levels- handy handles at front and backCONS- really wish it came with a removable liner (this would help keep hamper interior clean)- not sure how easy it will be to keep clean- wish JJC offered color options in addition to sage, baby blue, pink, chocolateTIPIt’s collapsible, with the sides folding-in (sides are just cloth, while front, back, top are sturdy fabric-covered board). This means you assemble it simply by opening the hamper and pushing down on the fabric-covered board insert that goes at the bottom of the hamper. Make sure you’re pressing it all the way down at all corners – this is what keeps the hamper standing up straight.

Super cheap but does the trick

It’s true that the lid flops inward after a month or so of use, but that makes it easier to just toss baby’s PJs into from across the room. Heh.

Flimsy

I bought this hamper for my son’s nursery but was very disappointed when it arrived. It was incredibly flimsy. If I threw any laundry in it would loose its form and the lid would cave in. I also thought it was pretty pricey for what I got. It ended up getting returned.

Kind of flimsy

Pretty to look at but this hamper is pretty flimsy. The lid sometimes falls inside because the sides are not perfectly stiff.

Looks nice, but really it is not a great hamper

I wanted something neutral. This hamper looks okay, but it’s kind of cheap looking and cheaply made. It’s basically cardboard that is covered in fabric. It’s very flimsy. Once you put something in it, it loses its shape. The lid does not lie on top of the opening perfectly, so there are gaps around the edges, and the lid also mostly just sinks into the hamper instead of resting on top of the opening. I am returning this item.
