Perfect bag for 2 kids
I love Ju-Ju-Be products and this was my first ever. I bought this when the shadow waltz pattern first came out. I LOVE the pattern and the pink inside is gorgeous. I use Be Quicks and Be Sets to help organize this bag even more. You can go onto Ju-Ju-Be website to see more videos on the inside of these bags. The main compartment if very large it has 2 mesh pockets on the front and another mesh pocket and a zipper pocket on the back. There are 2 bottle pockets on the outside (keeps sippys or bottles cold or warm for up to 3 hours). It has a back pocket that has the memory foam changing pad in it. The front had the mom pocket and a bottom pocket with more mesh pockets in both of those. I also love the smart magnets on this product. BUT my all time FAVORITE part is that I can wear this bag 3 different ways. Over the shoulder, messenger style, or backpack style. I use it backpack style many times going into stores or from the house to the car. I would not want to wear this as a backpack around for more then an hour because the straps are not as comfy as traditional backpack straps, but for what I use this for it is perfect. If you are looking for a traditional backpack diaper bag I would recommend the Be Right Back or the BFF from JJB. If you want to learn more about JJB then you can also check out their website and look for the pink room. You can see lots of pictures of all the Ju Ju Be bags and how different ladies pack them up. I am going to warn you owning a Ju-Ju-Be is the start to a JJB addiction 🙂 have fun!
great quality – hard to find a diaper bag in a backpack
I really like this bag. I had been eyeing it for awhile but didn’t want to spend the money on yet another diaper bag. I had my second child recently and was having a hard time lugging the infant carrier, holding my 3 year old’s hand AND a big shoulder bag….maneuvering through parking lots, stores, etc. was really a pain. I needed a backpack. So I decided to splurge and get it…there aren’t many backpack diaper bags out there unfortunately. I love this bag for many reasons: high quality fabric that I can tell will last me the next few years; beautiful patterns to choose from (I got the blue bouquet – the colors are gorgeous); the pockets and compartments are so well thought out and allow me to be so organized so I’m never searching for anything – everything has its place…and you can fit a TON in here and it’s not even that big! The ONLY thing I don’t like about it are the magnetic closures on the front pockets…while they are great in theory, I can’t store my car keys in there because I have a smart key (and I’d really like my keys to all by on the key clip). I also worry about my phone being stored in there. So far I’ve had no problems with the phone but I did have a problem with my smart key so can’t store it there anymore. Overall, though, it wouldn’t make me change my decision to purchase this bag – the pros far outweigh the cons.
THIS BAG CAME TODAY, AND I WAS SO EXCITED FOR IT TO COME! IT IS BY FAR THE BEST DIAPER BAG ON THE MARKET. THE FABRIC IS WELL MADE, AND HAS A NICE SHEEN NOT A PLASTIC FEEL, THE INNER LINER IS BRIGHT SO I CAN SEE WHATS IN IT. POCKETS!! LOTS AND LOTS OF THEM. WE REALLY LOVE THE CONVERTIBLE STRAPS ON IT, YOU CAN WEAR IT AS A CROSS OVER BAG, OR BACKPACK. I AM A TALL PERSON, AND THE STRAPS GIVE ME PLENTY OF ROOM TO MESS AROUND TO FIND THE RIGHT FIT. ALL AROUND THIS IS A GREAT BAG! PRACTICAL AND STYLISH. I CAN CARRY IT AND NOT FEEL THAT I AM CARRYING AROUND A DIAPER BAG. ALSO ONE THING THAT I COULD DO TO IMPROVE IT… I WOULD ADD AN EXTRA SMALL HANDLE AT THE TOP THE PACK, SO WHEN IN THE CAR IF THE STRAP IS FULLY EXTENDED, YOU COULD STILL PICK UP THE BAG WITH A GOOD GRIP AT THE TOP. AT THIS POINT, WE GRAB IT BY THE TOP FABRIC. THE DETALE ON THIS IS SO CUTE TOO.
LOVE this bag
I am in love with this bag!!! I carry a lot of stuff around for my 2 year old and this bag holds it all. Perfect for the summer since we are doing lots of things outside. The only issue for me is the straps to wear it as a backpack. Since I put so many things in it, the bag is really heavy and the straps start to hurt after awhile. I recommend that you buy the extra straps if your planning on using it a lot.
Wish I bought a “print” instead of solid color
I Bought this diaper bag as an early mothers day gift to myself, however I wish I would have bought the champagne bubbles print. I think the print design would camouflage the marks left on bag by daily use and magnets on the front pockets. I wish it had the stroller straps included also. I would order again but I would order a print pattern instead of a solid color.
don’t like it’s a black hole!
I do not like this bag get the Ju Ju Be Be Prepared or the BFF if you want a backpack. This is a black hole and you can’t see anything inside because you pile stuff on top of each other. The other 2 bags I mentioned are the best diaper bags on the market right now not only because they are washable which is awesome but also because the whole side of each bag opens up all the way because they have gusseted pockets. I don’t think there are any other bags like that on the market. So you can see absolutely everything in them and have everything organized next to each other not on top of each other and you do not really have to take anything out to get to things. You can even “work out of the bag” such as when you are feeding the baby mixing formula, or changing the baby. You never have to take things out and put them on nasty public surfaces at airports, stores ect. That to me is a MUST! I refuse to put wipes, diapers, or burp cloths or anything that comes in contact with the baby on any public surface so you can have all that stuff laid out in the bag. It is the best! I think that is a must in a diaper bag to be able to have everything you need visible and organized like that. I absolutely love the BFF for everyday use (little smaller but still big) and the Be Prepared for travel or if you are going to be out all day because it is huge! You cannot go wrong with those 2. I think they are a must! I think everyone in the world who has a baby needs to order both of these! Hahaaaa! The BFF has straps like a backpack but you can take them off so very versatile. I would not recommend this bag (PackaBe) because of the black-hole issue and also the mommy pockets are too small or rather flat so nothing bulky fits in them. If you have a bulky wallet or larger tube of lotion or something or a lot of keys forget it they will barely fit and take up the whole pocket each. OH AND ONE OTHER IMPORTANT THING the PackaBe will not just stand on its own its too narrow so falls over so you can’t lay things on top like wipes when you are trying to change the baby. Trust me you need the other 2 bags!
Great quality but rather Awkward
This is my first diaper bag so i spent many days online searching for just the right bag. My son is 6 weeks old so I’m just starting to get the hang of what I really need to pack. Before you even pack it, it’s heavy, but I think that is because the fabric is so heavy duty. A cheaply made bag might be lighter, but this one seems like it will last forever. I’ve used the bag during a cross country road trip, several all day outings, and some shorter trips. I carry cloth diapers, wipes had dirties so the bag gets pretty heavy. I’m exclusively breast feeding so I don’t carry any bottle feeding items.I prefer to wear my son in his K’tan carrier, so the back pack feature is ideal, but it looks clunky rather than stylish no matter that it has a nice print.. I bought the padded straps and the stroller clips separately. I think they were very expensive. The padded straps are softer than what came with the bag, but still not super comfy. I’m 5’7″ and average build and I find the metal adjustment pieces the padded straps hit my arm pits uncomfortably. Not that they actually come with this bag, but if your planning to get them you might not love them. My little sister Is very petite at 4’7″ at 11 years old, and this bag fits her much better than me. She wears it if shes out with me and the tiki toffee print seems to be more suitable to an 11 year old than a 34 year old woman, but at least it isn’t a Disney print. The stroller clips are very nice, but the bag is really awkward when hung on the handle of my kolcraft contours stroller handle. It’s a disappointment.Speaking of awkward, the whole bag falls over and off of things all the time. I was happy that my 24oz camel back bottle fit in the side pocket, but that makes it guaranteed to fall over. The bag also needs a handle on top to make grabbing the bag while holding a baby much easier.I like the front pockets for my things and sanitizer wipes and a burp cloth. The strap hooks get in the way of the pocket for the changing pad making it awkward to put the pad in one handed. My mom always stuffs the pad in the main compartment cause she can’t get the pad in it’s pocket. The interior is huge, but not easy to deal with unless I use smaller packing containers that keep it organized and that doesn’t always happen with a new baby! I find the interior pockets pretty worthless.I wanted to really love this bag, especially for what I spent on it. I cannot complain about the quality or roominess but it’s just not great functionally or even all that stylish since it looks so clunky.
Not for me….
I was REALLY excited to get this. I used it for about a month and a half and one day I was just like,… nope this isn’t working for me. I find I don’t use the backpack function nearly as much as I thought I would and the bag is cumbersome to carry on your shoulder. It is VERY good quality material and closures, hardware etc., but the excellent quality adds a lot of weight to the bag, its heavy even when its empty. I think a handle on the top would be a huge improvement. Even my hubby seems awkward carrying it, guys don’t really want to put wifey’s bag on their shoulder and I can’t see him wearing it as a backpack so I often see him gathering the straps up in this weird way when he’s carrying it around for me. I think this is better suited for someone in the city who uses a backpack OFTEN, but if that’s the case then I would spring for the more padded straps JuJuBe sells on their website as per other reviewers the straps are really not that comfortable for long wear. I have lots of designer diaper bags such as Petunia Pickle Bottom and Skip-Hop. Believe it or not I think Skip Hop makes the best, most functional diaper bag and they’re on the lower end of the price range. I even got a Skip Hop for Target that I LOVE.
