Good option if you don’t have suctionable bath tub
Most bath toy pouches I’ve seen suction cup to the bath tub wall. Our bath tub has a tile that suction cups don’t stick to so we can’t use these. Instead I was storing bath toys in a drawer in our cabinet and always worrying about water getting in the drawer or mold and mildew if the toys didn’t properly dry out. This is the only solution I’ve found that works in our bathroom. It’s not a great product but it solves our problem. The pelican bath storage pouch is kind of clunky and my 15 month old boys can break it apart and pull it off the tub wall. Still I don’t consider this a major problem because the parts are big enough to be safe and the children are always supervised in the tub anyway. I’m more concerned with the toys being consolidated when they aren’t in use and being able to properly dry out. The net is a good way for them to air out and drip into the tub. The net is also machine washable.
Cute but thats about it
I was sick of the suction cup holder type toy holders always falling off the wall, so I was excited to find this cute pelican! Excited until we used it. The mesh does not stay in place (falls out when we try to get the toys out) and it is way to big for our normal size tub (The picture lis very misleading in showing the mesh not touching the ground)So bummed this didn’t work, I would return it had I not already thrown out the box!
I recommend this one over the others..
This is great because the ones that stick to the wall are a pain.. They don’t stay up and I could not stand it falling all the time. This ones a perfect solution. Also, my 14 month year old has fun helping me put the toys in the bin at the end of each bath. Love this.
Holds lots of toys, can get knocked around. Does tend to come apart.
My kids have too many tub toys. This was the first basket that held them all. It stays in place reasonably well. My biggest gripe is that the bag isn’t really secure in the beak, and can come off pretty easily. That said, it’s a minor hassle to finally have space for all the toys. Also worth noting: the beak is all white, not white and yellow. The bag is also white, not yellow.
I just wish it was bigger
This is a great, decorative and super practical bath toy storage thing. My kids love it and actually play with the holder itself as a toy – pretending it’s eating different things, etc. I really love it. It’s sturdy and attractive and doesn’t fall down. The only thing I wish about it was that it was bigger. Maybe we should get rid of some of our bath toys, but bigger items don’t fit. I’d been hoping to fit everything in there, but there’s no way. So your bathroom may not look quite as neat as you hoped if you have any larger boats, or toys like that, but it’s still great for the little things. I love that you can easily turn it out of the tub for showers. Great buy!
Always Falling Apart…
This thing is always falling apart as my little boys try to take toys out of it. It’s also pretty big and takes up a lot of room in our tub when I’m trying to bath my three boys. Since our tile is not completely smooth I can’t use suction cups to hold up other toy holders, so this was really our only other option. At this point, all the toys just sit in the bottom of the tub, because the net insert always comes out.
Pelican Storage Pouch
Bath time is a big deal in my house. We have tons of boats, rubber duckies and other water toys. I have gone through more bath toy organizers than I can to remember. Most of them had suction cups that didn’t stick or nets that broke after only a few days. The Pelican Bath Toy Storage Pounch is the best bath toy organizer I’ve come across to date. The first thing I love about the pelican is that it goes on the tub instead of having to stick it in the wall. This means there are no toy avalanches when the adults are trying to shower. It’s also more convenient for the children. They can reach in and pick and choose which toys they want to play with. When they’re done playing, you can leave the netting inside the top until the water drains and it dries so it doesn’t drip on the floor. Later you can turn it toward the outside of the tub so it’s not in the way when others want to use the tub or shower. There is plenty of room for storage in the netting. I fit as least fifteen average toys in there with no issues.I’m very pleased with the Pelican Play Pouch. It’s sturdy, has lots of room for toys, and has an adorable design my kids love. Best of all, it helps keep our bathroom organized and tidy. This is gift both kids can parents can appreciate.Complimentary product received in exchange for an honest review.
So cute and useful!
Great product to keep all of your bath toys near and dry. Can’t say more than GREAT product! Will recommend it to any one with small children.
Practical and easy to move
The pelican is adorable and hold a lot of toys. It is easy to remove so my child can explore the tub without pulling it in. The basket itself also comes out from the top so you can use it to scoop toys out.
Perfect for a claw foot tub
We have had a hard time finding anything to fit our claw foot tub and this fit the bill perfectly.
