Milk Tray

Milk TraysTM are a breast milk freezing system made from PETG plastic, a medical-grade plastic meeting the highest standards in plastic and manufactured right here in the United States! Milk TraysTM will eliminate many of the problems you as a breastfeeding/breast pumping mother face today. Milk TraysTM are a safer, easier and more economical choice for you to create a frozen “stash” of breast milk. If you are a working mom, an on-the-go mom, or just a mom wanting the security of knowing that you will never run out of breast milk then Milk TraysTM are the right choice for you! Total of 16 semi-cylinder cavities that are 1 oz. each. Eliminates waste associated with nurser bags. 1 oz. Milk Sticks fit through ALL bottle openings, unlike “ice cubes”. Lids block out freezer burn, eliminate freezer smells and are easy to stack. Slim in size to ensure ample room in the freezer. Plastic is very flexible making it easy to remove the frozen Milk Sticks. Reusable and can last, depending on use, for up to one year. Made from hard plastic and does not allow fat soluble nutrients to adhere or cling to the sides like the soft plastic of nurser bags. Invented by breastfeeding, working moms. Pump your breast milk into the bottles that come with your breast pump and then pour that expressed breast milk into each of the cavities of your Milk TraysTM. This will then freeze into the patented one-ounce servings in just a few short hours and will fit into any bottle opening . Once the breast milk is frozen, you will then “pop out” the one-ounce Milk SticksTM and store them in dated freezer-safe zip lock bags (found in every kitchen) until ready to use. Now, the trays can be reused for the next round(s) of pumping.

I got these for a baby shower gift and since I have gotten them for all my nursing moms. These ROCK. The one bad thing- they can be a little tough to get the frozen milk out so I had to touch the milk with my hands more than I wanted to, but I just made sure to wash my hands really well before I handled them. Oh, and these come with 2 trays (8 oz each), most of the descriptions don’t say that.

Lid isn’t great

I like the size, it’s supposed to freeze into 1 oz portions, and because they’re skinny they can be inserted into bottles to be thawed out. But the lid is not good. Maybe my husband put it in the dishwasher? I don’t know, but something touching breast milk ought to be able to be boiled (kill germs!) and not warp. The lid is only good as a way to stack the other one on top of it in the freezer. It’s not airtight (leak when you walk with it, so scary!) and they both (I bought two) warped so they barely even stack anymore. I ended up getting some other freezer trays with airtight lids instead. Second baby, though, so I figure I got my money’s worth the first time around. Good idea, but lacks the follow through.

Wonderful help

I like these trays a lot! There’s two in a package and I find I do use both sometimes and just one other times. My only complaint is that the lid does not seal so I have to be very careful setting these in the freezer so as not to spill my milk! Otherwise, they work great and I take the frozen milk bars and put them in plastic freezer bags that I label and put in a bigger freezer bag. I think this is a cheaper method than buying actual milk storage bags because I get coupons for Ziploc bags, etc.

Very convenient

A very convenient way of freezing breast milk. Definitely recommend. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because you have to be very careful putting the tray in the freezer and when you move things around in the freezer so that the milk doesn’t spill.

Needs a better design

These are such a great idea but they need to snap close so your not spilling them when you go to put them in the fridge.
