Damaged kitchen table
Appeared to be made of good quality (very sticky, wouldn’t move with 16 month old toddlers), however, upon peeling it from the wood kitchen table, it pulled up the top layer of the table. The wood kitchen table is now damaged because of using this mat.
awesome!
I have purchased two of these mats for my toddler. THEY ARE AWESOME! Worth the money. They are way better than my Tiny Diner Mat. Easy to wash in the dishwasher.
Good product for eating out with baby
This product is great for when we take our little one out to eat with us. It is a silicone material so it is fold-able and easy to carry. The silicone helps the mat to stay put so that we can put our baby’s snacks on it. The only downside is that the material is quite sticky so after 1 use crumbs and things are stuck all over it. If you rinse it off and let it air dry it will be clean and ready to use again.
Great for containing a crumb mess
My favorite thing about this placemat is that crumbs stick to it! My least favorite thing is that it’s just a little too large to fit between the anchors of our portable clip-on high chair.
Really cool idea
Very cool idea, but I ended up returning it because I ordered a different silicone placemat which worked better for my needs. This one is a little thick and sticks to the table. It would be GREAT to pack for eating out when your tot is first eating finger foods and likely to throw plates. However, my toddler is past that stage and the stickiness was more a hindrance than a help.
Cleans Easily, Stays in Place
I wanted a placemat to keep my daughter from scratching our table, not from getting it dirty, although this placemat serves both purposes beautifully. Some other reviewers said it was difficult to clean and others boasted how easy it is to clean…they’re both right! When cleaning liquid messes they wipe up in a snap (the tiny raised sides help keep the liquids on the mat and off the floor!) but when you’re cleaning up crumbs from the sandwich at lunch it feels like no matter how much tugging and pulling you’ll never get the mat clean. It only took me a few days to realize that wiping it with a wet cloth helps remove the crumbs easily or of course you could run it under water to rinse. I’m very pleased with this mat and I think I’ll buy another one to take with us to restaurants (since it can roll or fold up to fit in a tiny space).
