Bough as a back up but did not like
I bought theses nipple sields because they were so cheap and I though they might be a good back up to have if I misplaced or damaged the madela shield we were using. They are very think and stiff. Also, the holes do not let much milk through. I did not like them.
Although the transaction went smoothly, I have a problem with the product itself. When I bought the item, I thought what a good deal I got, until it arrived. The shields do not hold a shape. They are sticky and flimsy. These are better left in the trash.
BOUGHT THESE FOR MY DAUGHTER IN LAW WHO WAS HAVING TROUBLE NURSING …..SHE SAID THAT THEY DIDN’T FIT PROPERLY TO HER BODY CONTOUR SO FOR US THEY WEREN’T SUCCESSFUL….GREAT IDEA FOR THE RIGHT PERSON
Last resort nipple cover
Medela nipple shields are way better. Yesterday I used this on bc my son was fussy and breastfeeding calms him down. He must of really wanted breastmilk bc I this nipple shield was so cheap it kept coming off.
odd nipple shape…
Very thin silicone, so better for keeping up supply than something thicker that’s harder for baby to suck on, but the odd shape of the nipple made this difficult for me to use. I prefer the bebe dubon brand.
Very close to bottle nipple shape
I wasn’t able to get my daughter on the breast due to flat nipples and her being a lazy sucker. I have been 100% committed to pumping but still wanted to try to have her nurse. I tried other nipple shields (Medela, etc…) but this is the best one I’ve found. And at $1 a piece, I figured I had nothing to lose. This material is thinner and actually sticks to the breast better because of it. I have had success with her latching on with this shield because it is the closest to the shape of the bottle nipples.
