Expensive, but nice.
My main gripe is the price. It’s just 4 pieces of cloth. That’s it.-I also am not a huge fan of the design. I just really didn’t think it was that cute. But then again – no newborn is going to care, and neither did my sister, who these are for (her baby, specifically).-They do work well as swaddle blankets – they’re pretty thin stuff – and have a little give to them so they work well for swaddling.I just can’t get over the price – for some material you’re going to wrap your kid in and have him puke all over then throw out once you’re done swaddling – ugh. Ha – maybe I’m jaded – I think ALL baby clothes, etc, are overpriced…!
soft and comforting and spacious
Swaddling is making a comeback and what better way to do it than with these soft, 100% cotton blankets. The cotton is really soft on these which works perfectly for sensitive baby skin. they are warm and breathable. The size is pretty generous at 47×47. These can be used for other purposes besides swaddling too.The price doesn’t seem too outrageous (paying less than $8-$10 for a good quality blanket seems reasonable.
These are so cute, the pattern is really sweet, probably my favorite so far.
I love all of the A + A muslins, and have a ton of them. Got these for new baby and love them. The pattern is gender neutral, and is light and sweet and whimsical, not too complicated or overpowering, perfect for a newborn. The material is soft and supple. As all their wraps, they wash well and are multi-use (we use as swaddle, I wear some as scarves to nurse with, stroller covers, blankets, burp cloths, etc…)
these are great
super soft and excellent size. my son loves being snuggled in these. i catch my 4.5 yo daughter in them as well. they are cute, and really nice. i don’t see much difference between these, and the higher end aden + anais blankies… they do exactly what they are supposed to.
great for the summer
My baby likes having a blanket to cuddle to help her fall asleep and these work perfect during the summer. I also use them when we go out to shield her from the sun, keep her legs covered when we have the air conditioner in the truck up high, and to cover myself and her during breastfeeding. My baby is long so the size works well for her. My baby is too old for swaddling so I never used them for that. There is a warning on the label not to use them on a baby that can kick out of them. They are obviously afraid of the blankets getting twisted around the baby. Know your baby’s sleeping habits and motor skill abilities before purchasing so you can make the best decision on whether this product is safe for your baby.
Got first package of them as a baby shower gift. It is now Mu daughters security blanket, which she calls it "buddy" and it helped her thru her first 10 days of daycare! She now sleeps with it at night, naps with it, and carried it with her at daycare so she’s not crying.Very good material, light weight and great big size. I’ve used them to swaddled my twins when they were young. Now I have 16 of them so I have fresh ones for my daughter each day at school.
4.5 stars Adorable Print
Let me start by pointing out that I live in the south and so most of the winter the temperature doesn’t go below 50 degrees. My baby was waking up all through the night and always got out of his swaddle! So I decided to give these a try. I really think they are worth the price. Buy these or the original A&A; swaddle blankets because now that he is 6 (almost 7 month) we still use them everyday! even if we are only shading his car seat from the sun. They do get slightly softer with washing, they are VERY breathable. And if I truly wanted I could still swaddle him-they are THAT big. We purchased the night owl print, it is adorable. I think this print would be perfect for a girl or boy. We get compliments on them all the time. I heard that the original A&A; are softer. We have an original cozy sleep sack and it doesn’t seem that much softer, but I can tell the weave is slightly tighter in the original fabric.Btw, our little one started sleeping through the night after we swaddled him in these, it was a miracle!
Super cute blankets
I have yet to find an Aden & Anais product that I don’t absolutely love. I know some people don’t like the Pinzon by Aden & Anais blankets as well as the regular boutique ones but personally, I love both of them. The boutique ones are slightly more sturdy feeling than the Pinzon version but I LIKE that they’re different. The Pinzon version are a bit more light and gauzy so I like to use them as the first blanket when double swaddling my little guy and then use one of the boutiques for the next swaddle. At first I was using two of the regular blankets and it just felt like a bit too much blanket, doing it this way with one Pinzon and one boutique works much better. The Pinzon prints are also SUPER cute, I wish they’d put out a larger selection because I like them better than most of the boutique prints. I also have not had an issue with them being “rough” like I’ve seen some reviewers say. The Pinzon ones I have are just as soft as the original Aden & Anais blankets that I have, only difference is that they’re a bit thinner.
These are amazing. They are lightweight and even worked well for a baby that heats up quickly like ours. They are very large which make them amazing for swaddling. My husband swears that it was this blanket and his tight swaddling that helped our son start sleeping through the night at 10 weeks. I recommend them for everyone, even if your babe has rejected swaddling before, try again with these.
The Best Swaddle Blanket!
Perfect size for swaddling and they are breathable which makes them safe! Definitely worth the price! My baby wouldn’t sleep without being swaddled. Since these are muslin, I felt safe putting him in the crib with it.
This is my only set of muslin blankets because this is my first child. I chose them because love the patterns, I got the night owl set. I read in other reviews that they aren’s as soft as the others I can’t compare but they are plenty soft for my son. I’ve been using them as swaddlers for my son and they work great when I swaddle him right the only thing that has been better for us is the swaddleme but thats made specifically for swaddling. I like that material is breathable for my son who can get sweaty pretty easily. Overall I’m very please with them, I’m looking forward to using them as lightweight blankets when my son isn’t an infant anymore.
Soft and beautiful
I love these swaddle and has been buying them as gifts for others. They’re soft and beautiful. I thought that I would like the small star and polled dot print more, but these big prints are actually more pretty in person (I own both sets, small and large pattern)
These are my son’s favorite. He is 2.5 months old and loves to be swaddled in them. they are thin and stretchy, so he doesn’t get too hot and is able to move around still without coming unswaddled. I love the print on these as well, very boyish 🙂
best blankies ever
This is my fourth baby an I received one of these blankets at my baby shower. It quickly became the favorite blankie. I can swaddle him and he can’t break out, other blankets are just too small. The fabric is soft and airy. I can swaddle him over fleece jammies and he won’t be hot. They are large enough to cover a carseat or stroller too. The baby smiles when I rub the blanket on his cheek. One of these was not enough so I bought this set. It’s super cute and nice to have a few in the wash, one in the car and a clean one! I no longer use the flannel type receiving blankets except under his butt on the carpet for diaper changes. These are our favorite. As far as different quality, they are a little more sheer than the name brand, but they get softer and fluffier each washing. I can barely tell the difference, I’m pretty sure the baby can’t tell.
