i love johnathan adler so i was excited to this see this collaboration And what a perfect marriage. this highly functional skip hop bag has all the bells and whistles: adjustable strap with an awesome pad with secret stroller clips (endlessly useful!) the magnetic closure is a lifesaver, and the bucket design is perfect when you are on the go with a 6 month old and 3 year old in tow. i can just dump thing in and easy find what i packed. you will definitely stand out at the playground with this colorful bag.
not so great
I purchased this bag b/c I am a big Jonathon Adler fan and loved the print on the fabric. It is; however, just like any other skip hop diaper bag. It is kind of tight on space in the big middle pocket if you are filling any other pockets. And, one of the cords on the side broke already after about 2 weeks of use. Pretty cheap construction. I figured it will last another month or 2 and then we will have to replace it with a better quality bag.
Another Great Skip Hop Bag
I really like the magnetic front pockets because they are easy to open. There are also plenty of inside zipper pockets, perfect for stowing smaller things (like my 22-month-old’s crayons.) The main mouth of the bag stays open wide enough that I can easily grab things like jackets and toys from inside, but it’s deep enough so that they don’t fall out. There are plenty of zippers and compartments so that I can keep everything organized. I am using the bag for two kids, my newborn and my toddler, and this bag can handle both ages pretty well. The mesh water bottle pouch is a really nice feature as well, since it can hold a variety of bottle sizes. The Chevron Blue pattern is bold and unique! My other diaper bags are all Skip Hop as well. My favorite features of Skip Hop bags are that you can hang them from your stroller, and I love the soft and washable changing pad that comes with each diaper bag. It’s so durable and thick.
perfect diaper bag…..and purse!
With our first baby, we thought we needed one of those huge backpack style diaper bags that could fit enough to keep our child fed/bottled/diapered/entertained for a week. Not only did we not use our diaper bag as an overnight bag (we packed one separately if we were on a trip), we quickly realized that we didn’t want to – or more importantly – need to pack that much stuff. Plus, I didn’t want to have to carry a separate purse….Now we have 3 kids. The youngest is still in diapers and needs the requisite sippy cup/change of clothes/diapers and entertaining essentials..plus we always need to throw in a couple notebooks and markers for the older two. In addition, I use the bag for my personal belongings – makeup/phone/wallet. There is plenty of room! And, if I want to run an errand without the kiddos, I can still use the bag without looking like a dowdy mama. This is the perfect bag for the mom who wants to fit everything in while still looking good. I love it!!
Stylish and Durable, but A little Hard to Use
This diaper bag is super cute and very durable. However, I find it difficult to get things at the bottom of the bag easily. it does’t open very wide, so I sort of have to wedge things in and then struggle to get them out. The fabric is not very flexible, which is a blessing and a curse in terms of it’s durability vs. it’s ease of use. The pockets on the inside and outside are a decent size, but the ones on the inside eat into the overall space inside the bag.
Well, I like it but not enough to give it 5 stars.
This bag is really nice but I can’t say it’s my favorite diaper bag. I own and have used many different diaper bags. I bought this bag because I am absolutely crazy about the Skip Hop Jonathan Adler Pronto Changing Station. It’s so awesome I thought it would be cool to try out other items on this line. However, the Pronto changing station that I’m crazy about doesn’t fit into this diaper bag very well if I have to pack burp cloths, blankets, and a change of clothes–which I always do. So I was disappointed about that. The upside is that this bag comes with a changing pad and a little zippered bag that could hold 3-4 diapers easily. So when I do carry this bag, it won’t be necessary for me to carry the Pronto Changing Station. I still like the Pronto paired with my Thirty-One utility tote better though :-pI like how it’s a cross-body diaper bag. Hands-Free is the way to be for me. That’s why I was hoping this would be a replacement for my Thirty-One tote (it can’t be worn cross-body). However, the Duo is kind of on the heavy side even before I load up all my stuff into it. So it digs into my shoulders. For this reason, I’m thankful it came with a shoulder pad.In the long run, I’m glad I purchased this bag. I’m sure I’ll get my use out of it. Like I said, I really do like this bag–just not enough to give it 5 stars.
Great size, easy to use
I selected this because the print was cute and worked whether it was my husband going out with the baby or me.I LOVE the little change pad that comes with it as it’s so each to grab and use when out at public restrooms. The smaller loops and clips work perfectly on our stroller.I wish there was one small pocket inside for my cell phone. I throw it in one of the outside pockets, but my regular handbag has a specific interior phone pocket… that’s the only complaint
Works well for us
We’ve had this about a month and so far so good. It holds what we need it to hold and it looks good. We’ve never tried another diaper bag so I can’t compare it to any other but for our purposes it’s done its job. We carry 6 disposable diapers, 3 cloth diapers (for general cleanup/burping), full size pack of wipes, changing pad, change of clothes, swaddle blanket, travel pouch with various items like nail clippers, nasal aspirator, alcohol wipes, pacifier), 2 bottles inside insulated bottle holders and a couple other things depending on the day. It can get pretty full, but it hasn’t failed us yet. I’m not a huge fan of the pattern/design, but at least it doesn’t scream diaper bag the way some others do. The zippers on the two side pouches do seem a bit on the light weight side, but have worked perfectly for the past two months.
Only small complaint i had with 2 kids is i wish it was a bit bigger. Once you fill all the little pockets it gets hard to get into its so tight
