Very cute, durable and fun

This suitcase is very cute, the seams are durable and the wheels function perfectly. After using 2 times, the bottom wouldn’t stay standing upright anymore, but Amazon sent me a replacement one for free, and I haven’t had that problem with the second one yet. This bag hold a lot of stuff and is great for a 4 year old to pull herself through the airport. It has one strap for the parent to hold. I would give the product 5 stars, but I only gave it 4 because I would like to see them add 2 backpack straps onto the bag so that it can be carried more comfortably by the parent when the child gets too tired.

LOVE this and so does my 2 year old.

This is the almost-perfect weekend bag for a two year old (and maybe a different-year-old, but I only can go by what I know, and I only have a 2 year old, so this is the only experience I can really share). I love that the handle doesn’t fall down into the luggage when she is pulling it (it might later on, though, once it gets some wear – you know how those handles get). And I love that it is lightweight and easy to roll/maneuver for a two-wheeled item. And it’s super cute and matches the backpack I got her (aka the new diaper bag).My two gripes:1) When the suitcase is unzipped, the flap won’t stay open, so you can’t prop it. It’s the way the zippers are not unzippable all the way back, preventing the flap from staying propped open like other luggage.2) The zipper is hard to get around the little "ears". It would be better if the ears were behind the zipper and not in front of them, as you have to move your hand around them a bit, else you will get slightly snagged up on them. The zipper itself doesn’t catch on the ears, but your hands will. Hard to explain but just trust me – it’s slightly annoying.I’m still glad I made this purchase, though, as this is cute AND the only non-corporate-endorsing logo’d (Barbie, Elmo, Cars, etc) one I could find. And my daughter says "hoo hoo" every time she sees it. Which is pretty darn cute, too.

Great overnight bag for kids – just note that it is the size of a standard backpack though

I bought 2 for my boys (17 months and 4 1/2 yrs old) for our trips to visit family out of state. We go several times a year and I have always put their clothes in a huge bag with mine or used one bag for them to share which would lead to the 4 year old digging for his clothes and mixing them all up. I wanted them to have their own bags from now on, especially for the 4 year old because he now packs his won clothes (using a checklist of pictures) and then he can get himself dressed on the trip without mixing up his clothes with his brother’s. Note that this is about the size of a regular/adult size backpack with wheels and handle. It’s not really a luggage or suitcase per se.How much can you fit?For the 4 year old, I was able to fit a week’s worth of clothes in the summer – 7 tops, 7 shorts, 7 underwear, 7 socks, 3 pajamas to wear twice each, and swim shorts. I wash all the laundry on the 6th day if we stay a week or more. In colder weather it will be less that fits in here due to the clothes being bigger. I used it in the fall and was able to fit about 4-5 long sleeve shirts and 2 short sleeve shirts, 5-6 pants, 7 underwear, 7 socks, and 3 pajamas. For the 17 month old, I was able to fit a week’s worth of clothes for both the summer and fall trip, with room for 2 aden and anais muslin swaddle blankets (he uses as his bedtime blankies) and an Ikea Spoka nightlight with the charger. I think I also had an extra outfit for him just in case. Also, I put the diapers and wipes in my bag, there’s no way to fit a week of those in here with clothes. It pushes the bag to it’s limits for a full week trip, but anything less than that and you would gain some room for a toy or books. We bought the little matching backpacks for them to pack toys and books in though and that works for us. Granted, its 2 more bags to carry, pack in the car, and keep track of however then the toys and books are more portable to take around and they don’t have to dig in the luggage for those items. Usually the luggage is upstairs in the guest room and the backpack is downstairs in the living room, so it makes sense for our trips.

Bought this for my son’s first plane ride…

….before the trip, introduced this along with the matching back-pack to my son (18 mos at the time). He LOVED wearing the backpack and wheeling this luggage along around the house. We did bring them along for our trip, worked well…almost too well, he wanted to pull it everywhere! He did struggle getting it down the aisle of the plane with the backpack on his back. Needless to say, it didn’t go well when we tried to help him along. We did use the back pack only on his second plane ride, that went much better. I do love the rolling luggage and will probably bring it again when he’s a little older and a little better coordinated.

Perfect size for a small child’s carry-on

I was shopping around for a suitcase for my 3 year-old for our long flight across the Pacific and stumbled upon this one. We’re frequent travelers on long international flights and I figure it’s time to let my kid tote her own things around so I can lighten my load. The bag is really more like a large backpack for older kids, except with a handle bar and is on wheels. It’s a canvas bag and has a main compartment, a side mesh pouch handy for a water bottle, and a front pouch that has a mesh pocket inside. The front pouch is roomy and very convenient for things that we don’t want to dig around for (tissue paper, wipes, small toys, tickets, etc.) Despite the handle bar and wheels, the bag is surprisingly light, which is good for us since carry-on has a weight limit of 7 pounds only, and the lighter it is, the easier it is for my little one to drag along with her.The handle bar is really quite short, which is perfect for my kid, who stands at just under 40″. We threw in some bags of candy to add weight for a test run and my daughter seems to pull the weight easily without any problem. The bag is wide enough that it doesn’t flip over onto its side when she turns a corner. The zippers open up all the way, which is a feature that I love, as it makes it easy to get to things at the bottom. Personally I prefer a soft canvas bag over a hard case suitcase because 1)it is lighter, 2)it doesn’t show the wear and tear and scratches as easily as a hard case, 3)it is easier to access without laying down, and 4)it is way easier to over-stuff the bag. But like I said, this is totally a personal preference. The zipper has a cushy tag attached that makes it easy for the little one to find and pull.I really like the size of the bag as a carry-on. I can throw a small blanket, a small neck pillow, some change of clothes, snacks, and toys all in there with ease. And the bag is still manageable for my kid to pull around. The best feature is the parent strap, which allows me to throw the bag over my shoulder when my kid gets tired of pulling the bag. When not in use, the strap tucks away nicely underneath the handle bar. The strap is also removable, thus replaceable.Overall it’s a great bag both for looks and practicality, and I’m really glad we found it.

Excellent quality and very durable

We go on A LOT of road trips. So far this sweet little suitcase has weathered many storms, bumps and drops. The wheels and zippers are extremely sturdy as I have come to expect from any of the excellent Skip Hop products. There is a lot of room in all the pockets and my daughter loves that she can roll her own suitcase around.

Love this adorable bag!

This bag is adorable and we love taking it to the grandparent’s house for a swim day! We are able to put plenty of things in this…his lifejacket, swimsuit and swim shirt, change of clothes, diapers, wipes, sunblock, swimhat, bubbles, etc. And that’s not even including the front zipper pocket and the mesh pocket on the side for a bottle of water or baby bottle. I bought the matching small backpack as well for a set!

Good Size, Kid Loves It Too

This rolling suitcase is perfect for our 1.5 year old. When we’re not travelling, we keep his "upstairs toys" in it–coloring pages, crayons, some blocks, etc. The little zipper pulls are so cute and seem sturdy. I am very pleased with this purchase!

happy child

our child learned to pack her own bag, and often travels in our living room to either the supermarket or to overseas. Other than the imaginatory, she does travel with it to school etc, so functions great.

So roomy!

We bought this for my two year old to pack to Grandmas’ houses. One via 2 hour car trip and another via 2 2-hour plane rides. I was absolutely amazed by how much we could fit in here! We were able to put a week’s worth of winter clothes for my 2-year-old son. I can’t wait to use it on a plane, as I know this will hold all the toys and extra clothes he’ll need for a day in the airport(s).I am really impressed by the quality. The fabric is thick and I know it will be durable as it travels the country. I plan to hand it down to my little girl. We’ll be using it for years!

Lots of room

My daughter is almost 2 and we got this for her to travel with on the weekends when we go to visit family frequently. It fits everything very nicely with room for more. We can pack clothes, diapers, shoes, and books. The front has lots of room for all her snacks and we love the stretchy area on the side we used for her favorite sippy cup.

Wow, so happy with this!

This little suitcase is ABSOLUTELY adorable, and great quality at a great price. We fit almost all of my 10-month old’s wardrobe in it for our vacation. And I LOVE the little touches like the inner pockets & banana zippers! So cute!

great bag!

I got this when my son was born. It’s roomy enough to fit anything we needed, plus a pocket in the front and side bottle pocket that comes in very handy. We’ve had it for almost 3 years now and its still holding strong despite not so gentle handling. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is cuz its made of canvas which cant be wiped clean easily (as opposed to vinyl etc). Over the years its become very dirty and we’re in the market for a new suitcase, but haven’t found anything as cute and roomy and sturdy as this one! maybe we’ll buy the same one again. I mean…its only $25 so cant complain!

Too small for what was intended…

Super cute luggage piece! Unfortunately, it was much smaller than I thought it would be. I would’ve like some inside compartments as well to help with packing smaller items (socks, undies, etc). Have to return it.

Nice quality, easy to use, large enough for all their toys.

Our three year old loves her new monkey roller bag. It’s a really nice size–big enough for all of her toys for the trip, her little brother’s toys, two blankets, and two stuffed animals. And she gamely pulled it through much of the airport (there was a learning curve–we had to keep repeating “the monkey needs to face up” “the monkey needs to face up”) We don’t use the carrying strap on the back–we just carry it by the top handle or hang it from the stroller. The wheels are not inline skate wheels like on a high-end adult suitcase, but given the amount of weight they have to bear, they do just fine. The side pockets are nice for in-air drinks. If I had to pick a weak link, it would be the handle. It feels just a little bit flimsy. That said, it definitely held up to the abuse so far! The handle doesn’t lock open or closed. With an older child, or if you plan to check the suitcase, I suppose that might be a bummer. But with a preschool-age kid, it’s nice to not have to help her raise and lower the handle. Overall, a really high-quality product!

This little roller suitcase is a perfect size for my 4 year old. We recently went on a trip and he loved having his own luggage. It seems well made and i love the pocket on the side for his water bottle. We bought the Dog one for about $23.00 with free prime member shipping! Very happy with purchase!

Great for sons first flight

We bought this for our 18 month old son for his first flight. It was bigger than we thought and I love how it has two separate compartments. The front compartment is larger than I expected and there are side pockets too. Our son loved the design (the monkey) and it traveled well.

Cute

Bought this to match his little lunch bag and little back pack / harness. It is small enough that our 2 year old can pull it when the luggage is half full. The telescopic handle isn’t exactly the easiest for him to pull up or push down but given the price, that’d be expected. So far, he likes it. It’s big enough to pack for a weekend trip.

Cutest suitcase!!

I just love this! Saw it in Target and got it on Amazon because it was less expensive. It’s extremely cute and sturdy, and seems quite well-made. Lots of little pockets and other cool features (including a strap on the back so an adult can wear it as a cross-the-body pack if the little one gets tired of pulling it).

Awesome Addition

I ordered this for my 2 year old, he has the lunch box and the back pack, I wanted to get each of my kids new suitcases and saw this and just had to have it. It is a great addition to the line. It is perfect for a toddler. I haven’t had any issues with its durability, and has held up great with being “rolled” up and down our stairs.

This is the perfect size and my kids love it

Got this for my 20 month old and 3 year old for overnight trips to Grandma’s house and my 3 year old will use it next time we fly to hold all of his belongings, plus sippy cups, snacks, etc for him and his brother. Basically a bag for all that they need for the flight so I have more space in my diaper bag. I love Skip Hop lunch bags and these are great just like the lunch bags. And they are not tiny like people say. This is a huge backpack– so not like the typical little toddler backpacks. It’s a little smaller than a carry on suitcase. It could easily 3 pairs of shoes, a few books, a hat, and 3 changes of clothes plus much much more. How big does a kid’s backpack have to really be when they are toddlers anyway? I got the monkey and the puppy and the boys love their backpacks so much they put their toys in them around the house and wheel them around from room to room. This is a great investment and is holding up well with how hard they are with things. Please get it if looking for a rolling backpack for your kids. You won’t be disappointed.
