haven’t used it yet.
I bought the wrong type of prefold to use these. I’m hanging on to them until I buys ome clotheez though. They seem to be made from some semi durable materials and there is an extra piece of plastic or whatever just to wrap around the sharp part for safety when it’s not in use. looking forward to using.
Bye Bye Safety pins
Say good-bye to safety pins. This is a genius product for cloth diapering. So very quick and hooks on any prefold cloth diaper.
great, but not mandatory.
i used pins for my prefolds for the first 2 1/2 months that i cloth diapered. i wanted to try these “god-sends” people rave about called snappis. i must say, theyre great. they hold the diaper well, and theyre pretty quick. they did have a bit of a learning curve, but i mastered it in a day and a half of changes. they create a tight fit for the prefold/flat diaper, which is really nice. i dont like the fact that the snappi packages says “do not use for more than 6 months.” good thing i got a pack of two!i do like my new snappis very much, but if you dont have them to try or think theyre a lil expensive for something that just holds a diaper together [like i did,] then dont worry. youre not missing out. i think these are for more of a piece-of-mind thing [no slipping and poking you LO with a sharp pin] than an improvement in the diapering world.i give it five stars because functionally, its works great. but i couldve kept using pins and not have had a problem…if it keeps the diaper together, i would even do scotch tape. lol. its not everything its hyped up to be, just an alternative to keep the diaper together, but it does work. if youre on a budget, though, and 8 bucks is too much to spend on something that lasts 6 months and is only meant to hold the diaper together, just get the pins and youll be good. [you get a free pair at GMD when you add a dozen prefolds to your order.] 🙂
These are working great for us. I have never used pins to contrast them, but they are definitely allowing me to use folds that I couldn’t do without them. They stay in place well on my wiggly 10 month old girl. They seem like they’ll last a long time, as they’re well made. I will definitely buy more if mine break or get lost.
A must have
Love the pink, hate the green! Easy to use and does not slip off diapers. A must have for cloth diapers. Do not grab at the claws because it will hurt and cut fingers. Last about 4 to 6 months with everyday use before needing to be replace. So much safer and easier than safety pins.
If you use prefolds, these are must haves. They work so well and I can’t imagine CDing without them. Get them!
