good temporary furniture
i agree with the other reviewers that this isn’t the highest quality piece of furniture out there. that being said, i think the price reflects that and it’s the overall value that drew me to this product. with most furniture you have to assemble, you come to expect cheaper materials such as particle board and plastic dowels – this is no different. it took my husband and me a little under two hours to get all assembled. this was a little easier to put together than theSouth Shore Savannah Collection Changing Table. when we were done, it looked very nice. my plan is to use this dresser strictly for the nursery so when the crib goes, i intend on purchasing a furniture set made from solid wood to grow up with my kid. for this price, i don’t mind getting rid of it when the time comes especially when it served its purpose nicely.if you do decide to get this, i would definitely recommend shopping around. when i bought it, i found it significantly cheaper (and with free shipping) at another external website. this same exact dresser is sold online at walmart, target, wayfair, babies’r’us, etc.. i hope this review helps and congratulations!!
The dresser came quickly and was packaged properly. It looks beautiful in our nursery and has plenty of space in the drawers!
Other reviews are accurate
Like other reviews said, this product did take 2-3 hours to put together. It looks great, though! However, be realistic with yourself when buying this: you are buying a piece of furniture that comes in about 40 different pieces. Don’t kid yourself that this will be easy to assemble or the sturdiest piece of furniture you own. You are buying it for the look or the price. Takes about the time and has the sturdiness of an Ikea dresser.
Great Starter furniture
There are many negative reviews for this dresser but I have no complaints about it. Given the price range there are certain things that shouldn’t come as surprising:It has many pieces and steps for assembly. It’s made of particle board. The tracks for drawers are plastic (hasn’t been a problem). We purchased this product for the nursery. It has not been tested by a child as far as durability but has stood up well in day to day use. We would not be surprised if this dresser needs to be replaced after a few years, but we did not invest a lot of money in it.The only “flaw” we have found is that the decorative trim piece on the bottom required some wood glue. The finish is also soft (again, is this a surprise for the price?)—but scratches are harder to see since it’s white. It’s a smart purchase if you want something that looks nice, is sturdy, and will last at least a few years without spending a ton of money to get your nursery put together and functional.
dont know why anyone complained about this product
first of all, its a piece of furniture. OF COURSE its going to take some time to put together. these things dont just screw themselves together. second of all, the material is not super cheap like these other reviews say. whatever it is, it works just fine. unless you are banging stuff all over it & chipping the ‘paint’. or if you spill liquid all over it & dont immediately wipe it off. other than that, this dresser is awesome.i also bought the changing table & the door chest for my sons nursery. couldnt be happier!
Arrived all broken!
We bought this item for our baby’s room. We received this chest but when my husband opened it to assemble it, he noticed the parts came broken. It was broken so bad until he can’t even put them together with whatever he had. We had to return this item and decided not to buy another one. We have decided to fix shelves in the existing small closet for storage instead of adding another bulky item like this chest in the small room.
