I bought this in size small and large…I figured my daughter would fit into the small and have room to grow in the large. I could not find sizing info on these anywhere! Not even the manufacturers website. So to help future buyers, here’s the sizing listed on the packages:Small: 7-14lbsLarge: 14-20lbsThe small does seem to run a little big, my daughter is 13lbs 24.5 inches and it looks like there’s plenty if space left
Really important cold and security protection
These young babies seem to thrive on swaddling for security, i think even more than the constant warmth. I have noticed that babies who constantly want to be held seem to really love this swaddle sack. I got to test it out on different infants while babysitting grand babies and their cousins/friends. All had different personalities but even the non-snugglers seemed comfortable in the wrapsack. It is easy to put on and you can leave the arms free for the older ones in this size range. Chubby baby or more slender the wrap is adjustable and it washes well too!
Easy to Swaddle and No Loose Blanket Around…
We are happy with this WrapSack Blanket. We love to swaddle our little one in this WrapSack Blanket. It’s so nice not to have to worry about the blanket covering our baby’s face. We like the quality of the fabric. It’s very soft. We also like that it stays in shape after we washed it a few times. We would highly recommend getting one for your baby or someone who is about to have a baby.
Swaddle Made Easy and Pretty as well!
The Summer SwaddleMe WrapSack Blanket in a pale Flower Burst pattern makes for a perfect swaddler. Babies love to be swaddled and this sleep sack makes for an easier and I think safer way to do just that. The delightful pattern is good for either sex and the material is soft and easy to use. With the bottom zipper, babies can even have their diapers changed very easily.I particularly like how baby can sleep AND be calmed in this swaddler. Keeping both arms in or not, it works either way and goes along with your child’s favorite position. With the wonderful Five "S’s" Program by Dr. Karp for how to calm your fussy baby, these swaddlers are great! If you haven’t used those "S" words–Swaddle, Side/stomach position, Swing, Shush, and Suck, then you should look into it. We used it with the first baby and with a new one due any day, we will again. Now with this Summer SwaddleMe WrapSack, it will make it much easier.
Super cute print and great material, don’t love the zipper.
I liked everything about this wrapsack except the zipper. I know everyone else loves the zipper but I just didn’t find it all that useful. I typically prefer the one piece zip up sleepers so the zipper function didn’t do anything for me. If anything I just felt like it made it less cozy since it was zippered at the bottom.
This is a great transition product for babies that were swaddled, like mine. At about 3 months old, we stopped swaddling her arms, but recently she’s been rolling over and I was worried that there wasn’t enough room in the swaddler for her to move legs freely. But, she won’t sleep without it. This gives her the cozy swaddle feeling around her chest while at the same time leaving enough room for her legs to move, which gives me peace of mind when she rolls onto her belly (which she does consistently now when she sleeps).
We’re using the arms-free configuration of this wrap-blanket. (It can also be used for swaddling, but our baby no longer likes it). It’s comfortable, and does not cause sweating (i.e.: cotton material). And easy to use.So far I can easily recommend this to keep your baby warm overnight.
Works well for a 6 month old “summertime” baby
I ordered this Summer SwaddleMe WrapSack Blanket for my 6 month old granddaughter. Unfortunately, my timing was a little off as her parents had decided to stop swaddling her this summer. The good news is that her parents love the "WrapSack:" feature. A little t-shirt and a diaper under this garment are all she needs during the night in the air-conditioning. I expect it will also transition well to cooler fall temperatures. She is an average sized 6 month old and the L size fits her well, with a bit of room to grow.. The zipper at the bottom makes wet diaper changes much easier than wrestling her out of a sleeper (even with snaps) – great for middle of the night changes. My children were "busy" sleepers and moved around way too much for a blanket to keep them covered – so I think this WrapSack idea is a great innovation for my grandchildren! Depending on the baby’s "swaddling" age and the season, you might want to consider a different size, if you plan to use the "swaddle" feature.
Soft and Easy to Use
Swaddling is big with parents these days and it was never easier than with the Summer SwaddleMe WrapSack Blanket. There is much to like here – first and foremost, it is very soft 100% cotton. The Geo pattern is adorable – bright pink, purple, yellow and green on a white background – very cheerful. This size goes from 14 lbs to 20 lbs and is considered "large". According to the package information, this would be for a 6-12 month baby. This can be used as a full swaddle, partial swaddle or wrapped around the waist to still give that swaddle feel but leaving the arms free for the older baby who rolls around (ingenious!). Especially nice is the zipper at the bottom of it, so you can change a diaper in the middle of the night and not have to unsaddle. This is being used for my granddaughter starting at the 14 lb stage (5 months for her), so I cannot report on the 20 lb part yet.I like this product and think it would be nice to have a few of them on hand.I received the Summer SwaddleMe WrapSack Blanket, Flower Burst Geo, Large for my honest review from the Amazon Vine Program.
I really really wanted to like this. I originally purchased this large size because …
I really really wanted to like this. I originally purchased this large size because my baby has outgrown most other swaddles so I went ahead with the larger size. In the middle of the night I heard a grunt and looked over to her bassinet to see her sucking on her hands OUTSIDE of the swaddle. The fabric is incredibly stretchy and (the other big disappointment) the velcro tabs end up being at her back which seems incredibly uncomfortable. See my review on the small SI Swaddleme wrap sack in Sunny Bee design. The same issues apply to that one also. Way too stretchy fabric so that my little flailing armed baby could wiggle right out of it. The tougher, less stretchy swaddles work great for her. The design of this one with the snapped shoulders and zipper bottom are genius, they just need to work with better fabric.
