Great in the high chair.
My daughter likes to drink from the straw, so I decided to purchase these take & toss cups. They work great until your kid realizes she can pull the straw out and dump the cup or take the lid off with her teeth. I primarily use them while she is in her high chair and unable to spill on our carpet. Cute unisex designs that she loves, and her brother on the way will surely love as well.
Best take and toss cups
I don’t know what it is exactly but these are nicer quality that the solid color Take N Toss cups. The lids stays put pretty well and they work great for my toddler. I like them a lot but the price on Amazon is really high. I found these on another site for $5 a pack.
Pretty good cups- cute too
This is a good cup for my son, since I juice carrots and apples for him. The only grip about these is that the straw is very difficult to clean.
Good sip cup
My 16 month old just started using this the other day. I like it because it’s easy to suck out of the straw. The only problem right now is that he like to take the straw out and it’s very difficult to place it back in because it requires some effort and very good coordination. So he walks around playing with the straw. With that being said, I think this item is age appropriate for any kid over the age of 2. Before that, it’s too frustrating. But it does seal very well and seems like a high quality product. My son will definitely be using this as he gets older.
Straws don’t last
My two year old chewed these straws flat the first time she used the cups. If the straws were slightly heavier they would probably be fine but these didn’t last more than a couple of uses each.
I bought these cups for my 10 month old daughter. She knows how to drink out of a straw and refuses to use a sippy cup so these are great. The straw is short enough so that she doesn’t have any trouble sipping the liquid out. She can also hold the cup on her own which is a plus. They are also dishwasher safe on the top rack and I have washed mine many times in the dishwasher and they have held up great. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because you can’t choose which colors you get. I have a daughter and they sent me blue cups. We still use them and they work great but I would have liked to be able to choose the color so that they didn’t look so masculine. Would definitely recommend these cups though, they are great!
Handles an impossible task quite well
Most of us buy straw cups because our little one isn’t quite careful enough to handle a real cup but needs a faster flow than a sippy cup allows. These are light weight, the seal around the straw is the best I’ve found from any straw cup, and they hold up in the dishwasher. They’re also the most spill resistant I’ve found yet. Yes, if she throws it on the floor from her stroller or high chair it might burst open, and if she leaves it lying on its side, it will slowly drain. But it doesn’t leak at all when she just knocks it over or drops it from her own height by accident. The seal between the cup and the lid could be a bit better (it doesn’t leak when tipped upside down yet over time little droplets form around the base of the lid), and they’ve got to do something about the cups all sticking together when you first remove them from the packaging. I wouldn’t give an imperfect product five stars, but these straw cups are definitely the best we’ve found so far (and we’ve tried five brands now).
I Love These!
My husband and I have decided to skip the sippy cups & go straight to straws and cups with our son who is now 7 months old. These cups are perfect for teaching our little guy. They are cute, a nice size for his hands, and the lids fit nicely. I have tipped them upside down & some liquid comes out the straw (I think it’s whatever was in the straw because a few drops come out & then it stops). I have run them through the dishwasher & they are still bright & in good shape. The straws are very sturdy. The only thing I can see wearing out is the portion on the lid that the straw pokes through, but mine is still holding up so far. These are a great price & are working nicely at teaching my son to drink from a straw. I will buy more of these once we’ve moved from practicing to actually giving him drinks, but that won’t be for awhile. I highly recommend these cups.*Edit 3/05/13* We still use these on a daily basis & are still on the first 3-pack we purchased. I have not had to replace any parts & they are holding up perfectly with the daily use as well as hand washing & dish washing. Even the design on the cup is still just like new. I have tried others just to get a different design/color scheme, but none work like these. My issue with others is that the suction is so strong, liquid creeps from the cup, up the straw & out when not in use. I don’t have that issue with these cups. They have been a life saver. Highly recommended.
Perfect for young toddlers
We love these cups! We introduced these cups to our 15 month-old twins as an alternative to the Tilty Cup (excellent sippy cup). After several weeks of using them, here is our pros and cons list:PROS-Practical – We wanted a cup that could help them practice using a bendable straw.Leak proof – These cups barely leak (as long as the disposable straws are thick enough for the hole in the lid). Of course, if your child is like mine they will turn it over and pour the water out through the straw.Durability- The plastic is pretty durable; there is a slight give when you squeeze the sides, but my kids haven’t crushed the cup (yet).Cleaning- Top rack dishwasher safe.Price – Inexpensive.CONS-None
Good cups !
this is really good cups! My toddler drink anything from it: water, smoothies, milk …. You can tell how much he drank , which is very nice. The only one thing is it can leak little bit around a straw. But this is ok, if you use it at home in a kitchen aria. The price is great.
