VERY NICE WAY TO TAKE BABYS TEMP…EVEN THE NURSE AT THE HOSPITAL USED IT ON THE BABY WHEN I SHOWED IT TO HER….BABY LOVES IT LIKE A TOY AND IT READS HIS TEMP WELL
I was never able to get mine to work.
Mine never worked and even after getting a second one it didn’t work either. There is so many neat ways to take a temperature now that I wouldn’t waste any more money on this.
Don’t buy it!
I ran to the drugstore to buy a thermometer when I couldn’t find the thermometer I already had but my 7 week daughter felt very warm. (I live in NYC – running to the drugstore means a 1 block walk in 2 minutes -easier than continuing to look when you’re worried!). I bought this one because I was so anxious, I wanted one I could use even as I rushed back home. Like the other reviewers mentioned – it wouldn’t go over 97 degrees for me either. I tried again when I got home, and still – not over 97!!! How on earth did this get past quality control??? She sucked on it – granted, it was a fidgeted suck – but what do you expect from a potentially sick infant?Rather than rush out again, I made a more concerted effort to find my infant thermometer. It turns out someone put it in my medicine cabinet (I had been keeping it in her nursery). My daughter had 100.2 and the pediatrician said not a concern. But if her temp was 1002, this surely should have gone over 97.Do not buy – look at the other reviewers. It does not work. You need something that works when your child is sick. This should be taken off the market.
I hoped against hopes that this would do well for us. We ordered this for our infant son and it just never had the same reading twice and that was with my son steadily sucking it and not spitting it out.
Very convenient, if your baby will take a paci
This is very convenient, and easy to use, if your baby will take a paci. My baby is 2 months and not to fond of a paci, so it’s hard to get her to take it, but this is easier than under her arm or rectal, and I really don’t want to fork out 50 bucks for a forehead or ear thermometer.
