fun for baby
The pros:Allows baby to be stimulated by all the things on the mat (there are lots of different things)The mat is washable (which is essential because accidents/spit ups are bound to happen)Easy to put together/put awayMirror detachableSoftDifferent modes for music/sounds and one of them will only make noise when baby kicks which is pretty neat.Convenient… you can put baby down for a little bit if you need to do somethingCons:The mirror is hard to attach keep upThe music is borderline terrible! Some parts sound like a witch laughing (doesn’t seem kid friendly)The things dangling from the top come off too easilyAll in all, we got pretty good use out of this and think it’s worth purchasing. Hope they make better, more pleasant music in the future ones.
overpriced but still good
i was lucky enough to snag this gym at about $30 shipped, and thankfully thats all I paid, i cant imagine paying any more for it. cute bright colors but for the ‘retail’ price being so high i was thinking the material would have been nicer.
A bit pricey
This is a great play mat. My son enjoys all the lights and sounds, there very easy to set off. My 8 week old has been enjoying the mat for several weeks now and LOVES the lights & sounds. The only flaw is the mat isnt very thick or padded. We have hardwood floors and I just dont feel comfortable with baby laying on mat without extra padding underneath it. For the hefty price tag this mat should be thicker
love. love. love
He didn’t start to enjoy it until he was 2 months old. Once, he hit 3 and a half months, he could spend an hour playing on the mat by himself (on his back). He loves the kick pad and the hanging toys!! When I put him on his stomach, I have to entertain him to keep him interested in playtime. I added some toys, so that he wouldn’t get bored of the same toys all of the time. The toys it came with work really well. At first he loved looking at the purple hippo, now he is hooked on the elephant that makes the noise of a bell when he hits it. It is definitely a toy that will grow with the child.
The mat is cute, but the stuffed toys are not good quality. They look really cheap compared, to say, a lamaze toy. I bought the Lamaze Flutterbug to attach to it. It only attaches to the top middle however. The mat it comes with to kick however is cute and has some fun music on it. My newborn likes to watch the red flashing lights on it. The pillow it comes with is itchy feeling also.
