- 100% organic
- great for cuddling and teething
It is not a rattle, doesn’t crinkle, has only one texture and no sound….I knew all of this before buying it and wanted to give it a try anyway…My daughter likes it but doesn’t love it like she loves lamaze toys for example (but those r not organic and have polyester fibers coming out through the pores of the fabric.) She is attracted to the colors and the tentacles are easy to grab, put in her mouth, etc. But after 5 min she is done exploring it. Also, It takes long for the cotton inside to dry after washing and I wonder how sanitary that is. She loves to chew on the tag, I hope the ink is also natural and organic but it doesn’t say. But I can always cut it off if it bothers me much.
My 8 month old daughter loves this toy. It’s a good size for her, and she can hold the legs easily. The colors are bright, and the fabric is soft. She’s very interested in it, and I love how it’s completely organic and fair trade. Under the Nile is a great company and worth the few extra dollars you’ll spend on their products. I would rather my child have less toys that are natural and high-quality than a ton of toys from China.
Durable, washable, and keeps attention!
I got this for my daughter when she was around 3 months old. At 14 months, she still loves it. We also have the kitty cat made by Under the Nile and she will carry it around and sleep with it. These are quality made toys and have gone through several washes with no issue (the only thing I noticed was the tag being worn, but that can be cut off – I have them labeled for daycare).
This octopus is so cute. Very well-made. it’s just a “stuffed” toy with no bells or whistles which I love. I love toys that foster imagination and creativity, as opposed to too much guided play, which is exactly what simple toys like this allow. As soon as I received this in the mail I threw it in the washer and dryer and it came out absolutely perfect, looking brand new!! My 15 month old likes to walk around and carry this octopus by the “handle”. Such a wonderful idea by the manufacturer, to make this toy out of scraps!!!! This item would make a great gift!
Best little baby toy ever! Great for teething
My little one was about 4 months when we got her this — and she was besides herself the moment they "met." We hung it from her Plan Toys Planpreschool Activity Baby Gym so she can lie on her back and have the Scraptopus dangling above her. The first day, she literally spent about 4-5 hours "talking" and playing with this octopus, with breaks just to nurse and change her diapers. Anything other than playing with the octopus was upsetting to her 🙂 she even skipped her nap.We washed it and dried inside a pillow case and it still looked great, though you might have to readjust the stuffing inside the tentacles once it dries. #octopusproblems
This is one of my daughter’s favorite toys, she is able to chew on the legs and can swing it around by the loop at the top. Washes and dries well and she loves the bright colors.
Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. Very colorful and perfect size to hang in the car. And most importantly, NOT made in China!
Well made little toy.
My daughter likes this toy. It’s colorful, soft, and easy for her to chew on the ‘legs’. It’s also a great size for little people, not so small that it makes me nervous but not so large that it overtakes my little kid.I like it because it’s organic. Overall we are happy, there isn’t much more to say about it!
